GGuest UserNestled north of Lijiang, at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, stands an old house that, after seven years of meticulous renovation by its owner, has been transformed into a luxury guesthouse. The owner personally carried bricks and tiles, while a design team from Tsinghua University's architecture department oversaw the project, embedding the Naxi people's understanding of beauty and the soul of their spiritual home into every crevice of the walls.
No matter which window you open, you're greeted with a view of the ancient, majestic snow-capped mountain, as if it's been brought right into the lively space.
The design and details within the rooms reflect the owner's thoughtful touch and aesthetic sense. The amenities are excellent, with underfloor heating in winter and cool breezes in summer, making it a perfect retreat year-round. Whether you're relaxing in your room, enjoying tea and a book, or venturing out for a horse ride or hike to Yuhu Lake for some fresh air and mushroom foraging in the woods, it's all about savoring slow living. The high-altitude winds effortlessly sweep away any urban worries you might have brought with you.
At every turn, the designer has placed a soft, non-glaring light and many cleverly conceived details. The common areas are stocked with a wide selection of books, creating a sense of relaxation and peace in every corner.
The assistant, a charming and kind woman who has traveled the world before returning to her hometown, is truly exceptional. Having worked for many years in natural ecological education at the UN, she's a favorite among children, offering a variety of engaging themed activities daily.
The dining experience is also delightful; both breakfast and dinner are hearty, and the ingredients are fresh and safe, offering complete peace of mind.

The service, in particular, was incredibly prompt and responsive, even more thoughtful than many 3-star and 4-star hotels I've stayed in. Plus, having a washer and dryer in the room was super convenient. The afternoon tea fruits were fresh, and the latte and matcha were even better than those at a coffee shop. There are many other great things about this place; you'll have to experience them for yourselves.

GGuest UserFor this price point, you wouldn't expect any major shortcomings in terms of facilities or service, and this hotel didn't disappoint. On our last day in Lijiang, we chose Shitoucuo primarily for the hotel's diverse range of activities. We enjoyed picking pinecones, horseback riding by the lake, and a Naxi home visit. In the evening, there was a cozy fireside wine session with singing and performances by local Naxi brothers. The buffet breakfast was quite extensive, and they also offered free hotpot for lunch, plus a special afternoon tea. For dinner, we went to a beautiful restaurant in the village, which was a great recommendation from the hotel.
My favorite activity was the Naxi home visit. We got to wear traditional Naxi clothing, grind soybeans by hand, learn about the entire process of Dongba papermaking, and even study Dongba characters. We wrote Dongba blessings on the provided Dongba paper to keep as a memento.
The hotel is quite a distance from the airport, but they provided a very convenient shuttle service. The front desk staff, based on my flight schedule, even suggested we visit Baisha Ancient Town first. Then, they arranged for the driver to pick up our luggage at the hotel and meet us at the ancient town to take us to the airport. Such a thoughtful arrangement!
P.S. The hotel is close to a pasture, so there were naturally some flies. The staff would deal with them in the rooms using an electric swatter, but it's hard to completely avoid them in open outdoor spaces. I think it's a minor issue that doesn't detract from the overall experience, but it's something to consider if you're particularly sensitive to it.

GGuest UserThis time, I was traveling with my parents and children, and I deliberately avoided the noisy Old Town of Dayan. I took my friend's recommendation and chose this guesthouse in Yuhu Village, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The guesthouse is right next to the village parking lot, making self-driving and parking incredibly convenient. My parents and the kids didn't have to walk far when getting in and out of the car.
The entire guesthouse only has six rooms, so it's quiet with few people, offering maximum privacy. It was exceptionally comfortable to stay here. The owner was very enthusiastic and provided us with detailed travel tips. The courtyard is elegantly and cozily decorated. Even on a rainy day, sitting in the courtyard, sipping tea and chatting, gazing at the surrounding mountain scenery, felt incredibly relaxing. The guesthouse also has a coffee area and a restaurant. The local dishes recommended by the owner were authentic and made with fresh ingredients; both the elderly and children thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
The rooms were clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and complete facilities. Our family rested very peacefully. The owner and staff were warm and kind, always ready to help promptly with any needs, providing truly attentive service. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoying a slow-paced time at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, this place is especially suitable for a relaxing family vacation. I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends looking for a quiet getaway! I'm planning another trip with my girlfriends in October!

Aaaabbbccc888Lijiang Yuxue Yijing is truly a hidden gem! Nestled quietly beside Baisha Ancient Town, its 270° snow-capped mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. You can lie in bed and wait for the 'Golden Mountain Bathed in Sunlight' phenomenon, waking up to the golden peaks right outside – it's stunning beyond words!
The biggest surprise was the adorable little lamb in the courtyard 🐑, so fluffy and soft. It comes right up to you to nuzzle your hand, and you can even feed it vegetables for free. It's gentle and friendly, making for fantastic photos that both adults and kids absolutely adore!
The rooms feature a comfortable Naxi-style wooden decor, clean and spacious, with complete smart amenities and a great mattress. The butler service is attentive; they'll tell you the best times for mountain views in advance, and offer welcome fruits, afternoon tea, and a sweet bedtime soup – attention to detail at its finest.
It’s super convenient to walk to Baisha Ancient Town, and you can capture stunning snow mountain photos from anywhere in the courtyard or on the terrace. The breakfast is authentic and delicious, especially the fresh and flavorful rice noodles.
Snow mountains, little lambs, and a slow-paced life – it’s incredibly therapeutic! I'll definitely stay at Yuxue Yijing again on my next trip to Lijiang. Highly recommend it to everyone!

Open the window and you're greeted by a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. The whole room is smart-home enabled with underfloor heating – they really went all out with the amenities. The butler service is on-call, and laundry and drying are completely free. It's close to the ancient town, yet tucked away for peace and quiet, and free parking is super convenient. Meals are thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients, and even the toiletries are high-end Le Labo. The value for money is incredible; after staying here, I want to recommend it to all my friends!

From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking.
The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations.
The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away.
What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Choosing Tingxueju for my stay in Lijiang was an excellent experience overall, and I just had to share my honest thoughts.
First off, the guesthouse's ambiance is truly wonderful, completely living up to my imagination of Lijiang Old Town! The courtyard is beautifully maintained, with flowers and plants artfully arranged. Sitting there, sipping tea and soaking up the sun, was incredibly relaxing. The room decor also features strong local characteristics, with wooden structures and ethnic soft furnishings. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The only slight drawback was that the facilities felt a little outdated. For instance, the heating in the room was quite slow to react, and the water temperature and pressure for showering at night were a bit inconsistent. I hope the owner can gradually upgrade these. Also, there was no proactive cleaning service during my stay, which can be a bit inconvenient for guests staying multiple days. It would be perfect if there could be a simple tidying up each day.
However, these minor issues don't overshadow the positives. Tingxueju's location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and the owner is very warm and welcoming, offering many great travel tips. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Lijiang, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a peaceful environment!

During my stay, I had to go out for something, and when I spoke to the front desk about a late checkout until 3 PM, they readily agreed – it was incredibly considerate. Later, my flight was unexpectedly canceled, completely disrupting my plans. The staff were very understanding and accommodating, patiently waiting while I rearranged my itinerary. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
