Guest UserI absolutely adore this guesthouse! First off, the views are exactly like the promotional pictures – expansive, with spotless rooms and massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The bed faces directly onto these windows, and you'll never want to close the curtains because you can take in the perfect scenery right from your bed. There's absolutely nothing obstructing the view! And I have to give a huge shout-out to all the staff here!!!!!! Every single lady was incredibly lovely. I brought my little one, and they would always play with him, greet him, and praise him. Even when he got into mischief, they were all so patient, saying, 'It's okay, it's okay.' I especially want to commend my personal butler, a beautiful young woman. She was unbelievably gentle and thoughtful!! She always anticipated my needs, considering if I was tired or thirsty. Oh my goodness, such a beautiful guesthouse combined with such wonderful people makes me want to plan my next Lijiang trip right away!!

Pauline's was easily one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to Yunnan. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The hotel manager was incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. When we had an early morning trip planned to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Mountain), they even arranged a takeaway breakfast for us so we wouldn't miss out on our meal.
The hotel is located in the charming Yuhu Village, which turned out to be one of our favorite places in the region. Since the village has controlled vehicle access between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the hotel helped coordinate our license plate registration with the gatekeepers, making arrival completely hassle-free.
Yuhu Village itself is a destination worth experiencing. Horses and cars share the same narrow streets, giving the village a unique and authentic atmosphere. The village is filled with locally owned cafés, bakeries, and restaurants. One local restaurant we visited served vegetables and free-range chicken grown and raised by the owners themselves, making the meals feel especially fresh and authentic. We also loved the croissants from a nearby bakery and the burgers from a café down the road. The mountain views from many of these spots were simply beautiful.
The food at Pauline's was another highlight and never disappointed. We ended up having dinner there several times during our stay, enjoying both local dishes and Western options. Breakfast was hearty and satisfying, typically consisting of freshly prepared noodles or wontons accompanied by a selection of side dishes. Nighttime desserts were also provided and something to look forward to. Everything was well made and provided a great start/end to the day.
Because we were staying for an extended period, the hotel also arranged complimentary pickup and drop-off services from the train station, which was greatly appreciated. Compared to the more famous old towns, Yuhu felt cooler, quieter, and far less crowded. Didi rides were easy to arrange, although food deliveries could take a little longer due to the location. That said, we never felt the need to leave the village as it had everything we needed.
The rooms and facilities were modern, comfortable, and beautifully designed—every corner felt photo-worthy. We happened to visit during the rainy season, which was both a blessing and a curse. While the clouds and mist often obscured the mountain views, they also created a magical atmosphere and meant significantly fewer crowds.
Overall, Pauline's offers a perfect combination of warm hospitality, stylish accommodations, excellent food, and an unforgettable village experience. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more authentic and peaceful alternative to the busier tourist areas around Lijiang.

Mengmeng, zhanqilai!A delightful surprise during my Lijiang trip! Shan Heli boasts an unbeatable location with incredible snow mountain views. The room was clean, comfortable, and the facilities were brand new. The service was warm, attentive, and they were always happy to help with anything. Plus, there's a free afternoon tea and an intangible cultural heritage tie-dye experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to relax in Lijiang!

YouxianyouqianThe room is very new.
The bed is soft yet supportive, and the bedding is excellent, with two pillow heights. The bath and hand towels are thick, and the slippers are also thick-soled plush ones, while the shower slippers have thick, soft soles.
With the double bed and single bed put together, it's 2.7 meters wide, enough for 2 adults and 2 children.
From every aspect, it's clear the owner carefully selected items and aims for a quality establishment.
The location is very convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the East Gate of the ancient city.
There are many restaurants opposite, as well as a very new large supermarket, making shopping very easy.
There's parking available, and you can also park outside. The Public Security Bureau is directly opposite, which makes it feel very safe.
The rooftop terrace has a cafe and a nice view. On a sunny day, you should be able to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun', but it was cloudy every day we were there, so we couldn't see it.
The owner is very enthusiastic.
One thing to note is that the bathroom and sink area don't dry very quickly, but it's fine as it's separate from the main room, so the water doesn't overflow.

Guest UserThis time, I took my child on a family trip, and I decisively chose Jiu Jiu Man Shan Meng. It was the most satisfying place we stayed throughout the entire journey! The room had an amazing view; opening the window revealed majestic, continuous snow-capped mountains. In the morning, they were enveloped in mist, and in the evening, the sunset illuminated the snowy peaks – every casual photo turned out stunning.
All the staff were warm and attentive, especially gentle and considerate towards children, proactively offering snacks and thoughtfully attending to their needs. The guesthouse courtyard was quiet and elegant, with beautiful scenery everywhere. The afternoon tea selection was rich, and the ingredients were fresh. The entire guesthouse was impeccably clean, with no dust even in the corners.
The owner also provided shuttle services to and from the ancient town, making travel effortless and convenient. The amenities were very well-suited for families with children. Overall, the value for money was excellent, and the accommodation had a fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend it for families visiting Lijiang with kids. We'll definitely come back for another vacation with the family next time!

Guest UserI originally just needed a layover in Baisha and picked a random guesthouse, but I ended up falling in love with it! The room was quite spacious, and while the decor wasn't luxurious, it was perfectly acceptable. The location is absolutely fantastic – nestled in a quiet alley, it offers a peaceful retreat while being literally a 10-second jog from Baisha's center. The courtyard is a beautiful labyrinth of flowers and plants, and the self-service laundry and breakfast are conveniently located in the inner courtyard. I have to especially mention the service; they were incredibly responsive and always ready to help. If you messaged in the group chat, even if the front desk was busy, another friendly staff member would quickly appear. Guesthouses nowadays are really stepping up their game! Afternoon tea, a sweet goodnight soup, and luggage transfer were all meticulously arranged. Fresh flower cakes, fruit, medicine, and bottled water were available for the taking. The front desk staff, who I believe is one of the owners, was always smiling and had a great time chatting about football and playing pool with my husband. When we weren't out exploring, we'd play Go, sit on the stairs and admire the snow-capped mountains, and play with Kele – it was just so relaxing. Kele is the guesthouse's dog, and she has the best personality, super gentle! My biggest regret this trip is not bringing some dog treats; I didn't dare buy yak meat from the street for her. And Kele, if anyone bullies you and breaks your head, your big sister will get revenge for you!

Initially, we booked the family suite but had to change the room due to an issue with the toilet. The boss was very helpful and quickly arranged a new room for us. The new room was much more comfortable, so we are thankful to the boss for that.
Regarding cleanliness, we wish the rooms could be cleaner. The hotel should pay more attention to hygiene, especially that of the toilet.
Another inconvenience was that there were many mosquitos in the room. Fortunately, the hotel provided a mosquito killer racquet and killer mats, so we were able to eliminate most of the mosquitos. Perhaps the mosquitos find some breeding grounds on the beautiful patio in the middle of the house.
The location of the hotel is good. It's very quiet but close enough to most of the attractions in the city of Lijiang.
The service attitude is very good. The boss and the cleaning lady are very kind and attentive. The lady prepared a nice breakfast for us, so thank you. The boss helped us book a taxi for the day we were leaving early in the morning. We really appreciate the kind service provided by the staff.
Regarding price for value, we think it might be a bit overpriced given the condition of the rooms.
Overall, this hotel is very beautiful. The furniture is traditional and beautiful. The central patio is exquisite and we loved the traditional Chinese design. The staff is kind and attentive.

This room was a wonderful surprise! For just over 100 yuan, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the bedding was spotless. The best part was the view of the snow-capped mountains right from the bed! The night was incredibly quiet, and I had a wonderful night's sleep.
I didn't have high expectations for the guesthouse's restaurant, but I was completely blown away! Both breakfast and dinner featured authentic local specialties, and the ingredients seemed incredibly fresh. The owner mentioned that many ingredients were locally sourced or farmed, giving the food a truly ”home-cooked” taste while maintaining a high standard. I highly recommend that anyone staying here have dinner at the guesthouse; you won't regret it!
The owner and manager were very welcoming and responsive to any questions. The guesthouse's overall decor was stylish, and the common areas were cozy, showing a lot of care and attention to detail.
If you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy the mountain views, eat well, and sleep soundly, this is the place to go! I've already recommended it to friends, and I look forward to seeing it again!

When my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does. All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel. The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.

I recommend conducting thorough research before making reservations to fully understand what to expect. We were somewhat surprised by the campsite-style setup, as we booked based solely on website photos without delving into the specifics.
While the facilities are adequate, the layout lacks privacy. For instance, to use the cabin's toilet, all curtains on the first level must be closed. Additionally, the toilet bowl is situated behind stairs without any curtains, potentially allowing others in the cabin to see. Moreover, the second-level flooring consists of planks with numerous gaps, providing visibility to the first level, including the bathtub and toilet bowl.
I strongly advise against booking this accommodation for families with children due to the safety risk posed by the sliding doors on the second level, which lack safety measures. While they offer a unique view of the mountain, the danger of potential falls is significant. If you do choose to consider it as a family cabin, I recommend checking with the staff to lock the doors from the outside for added safety.
Despite the unexpected aspects mentioned above, our overall stay was still decent. The staff were hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. Communication was convenient via WeChat for check-in details, recommendations, and self-checkout. It seems that the camping style of accommodation was a selling point, it’s definitely a unique stay. I’m sure there’s a specific crowd that would fully enjoy the experience.
