Cheap Hotels in Atami

"Facilities: Excellent! Most of the decor is wood, and the lobby is especially bright and open with large windows facing Tokyo Bay – the view is incredible. The room was huge and spacious. We booked a quadruple room for three people just for the extra space. The beds were large and comfortable; having one each was really nice. The bathroom has a three-piece setup but no bathtub, which didn't bother us at all since none of us take baths. The large built-in wardrobe by the entrance wall was great for stashing all our luggage. There's water and a microwave available near the elevators. For breakfast, we'd just grab something from the 7-Eleven downstairs and heat it up. There's a gym on the first floor for 1500 yen for 3 hours. The Haneda Airport bus stop is conveniently downstairs, costing 800 yen for adults and getting you to Terminals 1, 2, or 3 in a quick 30 minutes – much better than any subway option. Plus, there are lots of restaurants and an Aeon mall downstairs. Cleanliness: Spotless! Very clean and tidy. Toiletries can be picked up near the elevators, but we brought our own so didn't try them. The shower pressure was great. Environment: The address is Shinagawa, but it's quite a distance from Shinagawa Station. The subway downstairs is the Rinkai Line. While it's right above Shinagawa Seaside Station, the Rinkai Line is a bit isolated; you often have to walk ten minutes to another station (forgot the name) to get to most places. However, it's super convenient for Odaiba! There's a 7-Eleven and a Lawson downstairs. Service: Very good! The front desk staff speak English, English, English! We didn't need daily cleaning; fresh towels were left in a large paper bag by the door. Overall, a very comfortable hotel, just a bit inconvenient for transportation."

"Overall, La Vista is quite new and pretty good. 1. Hot Spring Facilities: The hot springs are free of charge. There are a total of 4 private onsen available for use anytime they are vacant. I didn't try the public baths, so I can't comment on those. We used one of the private onsens and thought it was quite nice and very clean. 2. Room Conditions: Japanese beds are notoriously firm, and the beds at La Vista are indeed quite firm. Our room faced the ocean, and it seems all rooms in the hotel face the sea. We stayed on the 2nd floor facing the street, but the window soundproofing is quite good—it was peaceful and quiet with no noticeable noise. 3. Dining Experience: I found the breakfast rather average with not much variety. We didn't have dinner at the hotel, so I'm not sure about that. However, the hotel offers complimentary ramen at night, as well as areas for drinks and ice cream. Additionally, Atami as a small town is quite clean."

"Definitely worth the price for an onsen hotel. The ocean view and tatami style bedroom are the highlight for my stay here! There is free bus shuttle service scheduled by the hotel, as a solo traveller who doesn’t drive, this definitely is a plus point! Will book my stay at here next time when I visit Atami :)"

"The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from Atami Station. There's a large Family Mart convenience store right at the corner, perfect for grabbing some snacks. In the lobby on the first floor, you can help yourself to skincare products like cleansing oil, which are from Pola. There's also a coffee machine and a microwave available for guest use. The room was typical of a Toyoko Inn – compact but well-equipped. I could hear the JR trains passing from my room, but it wasn't particularly early in the morning. Breakfast is served in the first-floor lobby. The selection was good, with both Western-style pastries and Japanese options like curry rice and miso soup. Compared to other Toyoko Inn hotels, the dining area here is a bit smaller and felt a little cramped, so it's best to go during off-peak hours for breakfast."

"The hotel's location is unbeatable, with a shuttle bus service to and from Atami Station, which you can see right after exiting the Shinkansen, making it very convenient. The hotel is said to have opened in 1973, perched on a cliff. Japan already had 'pit hotels' back in the 70s! The front desk is on the 17th floor, and the shuttle drops you off there. To get to your room, you have to go down. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. This hotel offers incredible photo opportunities, with stunning views from every window."

"Hotel staff are very patient and helpful in ginving guidance on the means of transportation to different tourist spots! Restaurant staff are very friendly too! The private bath in my room is excellent, I can enjoy both the day and night views while bathing in the hot spring in my room!"

"This hotel is located right across from McDonald's at Atami Station, where you can catch their shuttle bus that runs every 40 minutes. While waiting for the bus, you can explore Nakamise-dori shopping street. The famous Atami pudding had a long line, but it was pretty good. If you're heading to Kinomiya Shrine, you can find the same pudding there without the wait. I was very happy with the sea-view room that had an open-air balcony. You can only use the Fuua Onsen once per person with your room key/passport, but the public bath is also great. Breakfast and dinner were a bit disappointing; despite the grand presentation, there wasn't much to eat, and the sashimi wasn't very fresh – on par with a 49.9RMB buffet in China."

"Came here for the fireworks. You can soak in the hot springs at the hotel next to the fireworks display, have a buffet, then change into a yukata and head over leisurely. The hotel buffet even includes unlimited beer, cocktails, and more! I loved the chawanmushi, grilled fish, beef brisket, tempura... and there was sashimi too. For breakfast, I grabbed some natto, and wow, that's truly 'hellish' cuisine, haha! 🤣 They offer a JR station shuttle service. The driver was very nice and helped with our luggage. We decided not to take it on the way there because we wanted to explore the onsen town, but the hilly roads were quite a trek, very difficult to walk. I'd recommend just heading straight to check-in first, then exploring. The onsen also had a manga corner. Oh, and you don't actually need to bring your own yukata for the fireworks! This hotel has many different patterns of yukata available for guests using the hot springs."

"Visiting Atami on a day without fireworks means fewer crowds. The hotel is located right below Atami Station, but walking can be a bit challenging due to the steep slopes. However, the hotel's view is truly amazing, and our family of three enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay. The hotel has a partnership with taxis at Atami Station, so transfers are free. You just need to get in a taxi at the designated stand outside Atami Station and tell the driver your check-in name, and you won't have to pay. The hotel's private onsen is excellent; soaking in a hot spring while overlooking the ocean is incredibly relaxing. However, the public onsen isn't very kid-friendly. Many onsens in Japan provide amenities for children, but this one doesn't. Also, since the hotel is a standalone building, it might not be the best experience for families with young children. I think it's more suitable for couples. The hotel has several restaurants, all of which serve excellent food. If you stay here, there's no need to eat out; just book different restaurants at the hotel for a diverse culinary experience!"

"An absolutely amazing experience! It's just a 5-minute walk from Atami Station and also 5 minutes from the beach, making the location incredibly convenient. The room was exactly like the pictures, even better in person – very spacious and clean. The proprietress was exceptionally warm and attentive, providing us with a lot of help. On the day we left, she even drove us to the station. It was a perfectly wonderful stay, so much so that I'd come back to Atami just for this inn! Highly recommend!"
