"The hotel is located right on the beach, but swimming isn't allowed there. The grounds are large and well-lit in the evenings. Breakfast is a buffet. There isn't a water cooler on site; they provide two complimentary bottles per day, but the staff were kind enough to give us two extra small bottles late at night when nearby shops were closed. Our room had a strong musty smell, the air conditioning worked, but overall, the room was a bit tired."

"I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Sogo overall, and I would like to share my experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room was tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities worked properly throughout my stay. I also appreciated the staff, who were polite, accommodating, and always ready to assist whenever I had questions or needed help. Their professionalism made me feel welcome and added to the positive experience. One thing I found a little difficult was locating the elevator. Since it is somewhat hidden, it took me a while to find it, especially as a first-time guest. It would be very helpful if the hotel could install more visible directional signs or provide clearer guidance upon check-in so guests can easily locate the elevator without confusion. Aside from that minor concern, everything else was excellent. The hotel provided a comfortable and relaxing environment, and I was satisfied with the quality of service I received. The cleanliness, affordability, and convenience made my stay enjoyable. Overall, I would rate my experience 8 out of 10. With a few improvements to the elevator signage, I believe the guest experience would be even better. Thank you to the entire Hotel Sogo team for your hospitality. "I visited last December, and once again, the friendly and kind staff at Ahoview Hotel made me decide to stay here again. The rooms are well-cleaned and very tidy. The city view from the window also gets a passing grade. And most of all, I was satisfied with the breakfast buffet, though I would have been even happier if there were mangoes in the fruit section. Also, the Halo-Halo I had at the café was incredibly delicious. I'll include photos for you to see. This trip to Davao for three days was very satisfying. I'm truly grateful to all the hotel staff who work so sincerely for their guests."

"For the price, the comfort room is not that okay. There’s a wet area also in the floor carpet which I did not raised anymore because I checked in late already and will just move to other room the next day."

"The location can not be even better as it is close to the People's Park, the National Museum, and the Roxas Night Market. Staying in the Royal Mandaya as a person who likes walking and running, this is such a great gem to find. It's clean and well maintained, and the amenities and even the food are top notch, for an even lower price. I appreciate my stay in this hotel so much."

"This hotel may not be a luxury five-star property, but for its category, it’s definitely one of the better places to stay. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and all the appliances were working properly, which made the stay comfortable and hassle-free. The location is also very convenient since it’s just walking distance to Pryce Tower and nearby establishments. One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator, so if your room is on the upper floors, expect a bit of exercise. They also don’t serve full meals, but they do provide free coffee and bread at the lobby. Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants and food spots nearby, so finding something to eat is very easy."

"Very clean budget hotel, very friendly staff. Hassle-free check-in and check-out. There are water dispensers in the hallway where water can be obtained free of charge.McDonald's, which is open 24 hours, is just a one-minute walk away. There's also a Seven Eleven nearby, but it's a bit difficult to find.Walk for about 2 minutes towards the hospital. On the left is an entrance with a metal gate. Go in there and the 7-Eleven is on the right."
