"To be fair, I'd like to point out that this is a very budget-friendly hotel, and if you're looking for a cheap stay in a good location near Istiklal, this is the place for you. Below are the subjective pros and cons: Pros: - Location - Spacious room - Price (we stayed for about $90 for three nights) - Comfortable bed, clean linens - Smart TV, good hairdryer, refrigerator - Gorgeous large balcony - Pleasant receptionist Cons: - A beautiful balcony is a dump! Why do this 🤯 - Cold room - Steep stairs, difficult to climb, but that's not really a negative, more of a warning. - Dirty, poorly cleaned. Upon check-in, crumbs were found on the furniture, and the mirror was completely smudged. - Broken shower door, difficult to close. - The room itself was very tired, but that can be overlooked given the price. - We encountered rudeness from the owner. (We contacted the hotel via chat well in advance to check if we could leave our bags early in the morning. We arrived at a certain time and let them know, but no one opened the door. We walked around with heavy bags for about an hour and a half, until the owner finally opened the door and very nervously, almost aggressively, tried to prove to us that all hotels in the world check guests in at 2 p.m. (For a second, we didn't ask to be checked in, we asked to leave our bags). We ended up leaving our bags, but it felt unpleasant to be yelled at.)"

"We booked a three bedroom apartment for our stay, we have a family of four. The most important part that made this stay great - the staff. Members of the staff are very attentive, very quick to help, very friendly and kind. Thanks to them we were very well taken care of. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but there were some minor issues that I would like to address. First of all, while the apartment was spotless, you can see that it has been used and definitely needs a cosmetic makeover (so to say). Amenities are used and old so it can be better. Second of all, there is a strong odor of cats inside the apartment. Air circulation is not good. There is no way to get to the garden without leaving the room (and we wanted there to be a private balcony or terrace that is mentioned on the website). Location is nice, you can reach lots of different tourist attractions by foot. All in all, I enjoyed my stay but I’m not sure I will come back unless this hotel has a renovation."

"Great location in a picturesque area of Istanbul. There's a mini-supermarket right across the street. Grand Bazaar and Sultanahmet are within walking distance. Overall, it's clean. The room price is excellent. The room has a fridge, kettle, dishes, and a microwave. It was warm, which was important given the chilly spring weather. Very good for a budget traveler."

"I had a great pleasure staying at TaksimBlue Hotel. Manager were really amazing person. He will helps in any way possible. He is funny, knowledgeable and humble. Always available. Rooms are nice and clean and big. Washrooms are clean and had all amenities. Breakfast is really good and he can also cook whatever you like. Markey is nearby and metro is on waking distance . Just 5 min walk from taksim square. Lots of food options nearby I will recommend this hotel if you want to live with your family or even solo. 10/10 from my side. 💕"

"Awesome room in Taksim area, it’s a big room and nice decoration all equipment also good. Staff is very nice and helpful. There are bars and cafes around the hotel. Metro just 10 mins walk. And can also walk to the port within 15 mins. Highly recommended"

"This hotel is luxurious beautiful. The best one around this area. Everything is clean and exactly like the pictures your have seen. Most importantly their hospitality is one of a kind. They received us warmly since we walked in. I have a cold and he brought me hot herbal tea after already gave us plenty of water.  We are impressed with all services and cleanliness and they view on the 4 th floor is amazing day and night.  We definitely return to this place and give highest recommendation."

"Good location, very near to Takzim Square, Galatasaray Tower &:famous Istiklal street. Friendly & helpful staf-, Mr Mehmet advised us how to go around & help us to carry our luggage bags to the room n even to the taxi waited at the main road. Anyway, need to share this experience bros b4 that had read about it in other reviews for other hotels. When we wanted to check in, was told that the staffs made a mistake, our room already given to somebody. We were suggested to stay in another room in other hotel nearby owned by the same company. Actually b4 we booked this hotel, we booked other hotel ( short form : L.... A.... Hotel), they only called up us that morning said that mistake was made, all room r full. Suggested that we stay in a better room but need to pay extra 50 Euro. We didn't take up the offer cos felt that they r not honest."

"Stayed again for the second times here we did stay 6 nights. It was a nice experience although once we experienced a whole night power cut off in Taxim neighborhood. That’s before 6.2SR earthquake hit Istanbul. Everything was okay from the cleanliness, amenities would be better if the tea and coffee resupplies in the middle of staying (we didn’t ask though). We stay at the upper room and have a good shower, the water heater work fine. On the kitchen: refrigerator, microwave, stove (and all cooking utensils) work good. We even doing laundry ourselves. For the rest of the day we got a completely rest here. Nice stay and recommended :)"
