"I loved how spacious the room was—it made my stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The staff were kind and helpful, and as a solo traveler, I especially appreciated the signs outside the hotel, which made me feel safe and made it easy to find my way back. The hotel is full of history, and the manager shared its story, making the experience feel personal and memorable. The room and bathroom were spotless, and having a bidet was a thoughtful added touch. The decor throughout the hotel was stunning and added to its charm and character."

"The Riad is beautiful and my room was large, clean, with a good bed and a good shower. The staff were friendly and polite. However, the Riad's location was unsuitable for me. The Riad is very close to the tannery, so the smell of leather and animal excrement was very strong at breakfast. Furthermore, it's next to a mosque, and I woke up at 5:30 AM on the days I stayed there with the first call to Islamic prayer. Because it's in the Medina, the car can't reach the Riad's door, and we depended on porters who weren't Riad employees to help us with our luggage. The car managed to drop us off at a parking lot about 100 meters from the place, and that journey at night was quite dangerous for me. Also, on the day we left, the guy who carried our luggage got angry because he thought the amount we gave him (we gave the amount suggested by the Riad staff) was too low, and he started yelling insults at us, and we didn't understand anything. This scared me a lot because, besides the place seeming dangerous, I didn't understand his language and didn't know what he was capable of doing. I also didn't find the Riad's breakfast very tasty and it had few options."

"Clean & comfortable room & beds. Bathroom had extra towels & a bathrobe like at home! Breakfast buffet had ample of choices. Front-desk & kitchen staff was extra kind to send hot water+salt in room for a nasty cold & sore throat (gargling) & even allowed to take steam inhalation in hotel's kitchen under supervision!"

"This was my least favorite hotel in all of Morocco. On a positive note we were kindly greeted with tea and cookies upon arrival. However, the lobby reeked of smoke, the decor in the room was basic and dark, the neighborhood was not great, and the breakfast was awful. In addition they accepted large groups for breakfast and it was hectic and very strict with the time you could eat."

This is a place I highly recommend to anyone looking for a simple, authentic option with excellent value for money. A very positive experience, I would gladly return!"

"The Moroccan breakfast and orange juice prepared by staff member Amina were delicious and fantastic. Amina was very kind and even stored our luggage for free, which was a great help. On the other hand, it was a little disappointing that the shower only had either scalding hot or icy water and couldn't be adjusted to a comfortable temperature."

"The interior of the building is stunning, and you are soon welcomed with some tea by the very hospitable Ayoub. Although it can be slightly daunting to make your way through the narrow alleys to find it, especially at night, you quickly get the hang of it. In fact it is just a few minute walk from the car park, and just 100 meters from the start of the market, so the location couldn’t be better. And we didn’t feel unsafe at all. You don’t hear the noise of the market, despite its proximity, but you do not have much intimacy, which is the reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars. Our bedroom, was directly off the breakfast/dining area, and while it meant we had no staircase to compete with, we had no windows or natural light, and could hear the hustle and bustle from other guests. That said, Ayoub was super helpful, and really obliging. When we asked for restaurant recommendations, he would not only book a table, but also have someone collect us and accompany us in both directions. Also in terms of helping us getting transportation from train station or to airport. Very charismatic and full of fun, he helped make our stay very special."

"This was a very nice Riad we stayed at. The Moroccan decor was very nice. Rooms are on 3 floors. The Riad is a short walk from the location where vehicles will drop you. The rooms on the upper floors do require a climb up some narrow stairs. But ok otherwise. The bed was really large as well. We needed a little getting used to knowing that "C" stands for Chaud (hot, French) and not Cold. Breakfast was quite good and filling. "

"Amazir stay at Riad EL Amine we stayed at this Riad with my mom, we really enjoy hospitality of the staff Check in is seamless and efficient. The rooms are beautifully appointed and charming as is the rest of the building. The rooms and the hotel are kept spotlessly clean and frankly I would have loved to take any of the cleaning staff back home with me. The rooftop provides a sheltered space to relax and take some sun, and the spa is a cooling respite when it gets too much. we will come back again :)"

"Riad Semlalia offers a beautiful retreat with attentive service and easy access for cars, nestled off a quiet road. The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed, enhancing the overall comfort of the stay. Love the breakfast served! A particularly thoughtful touch was the serving of two hot bowls of harira upon our return from a day excursion to Chefchaouen, which was warmly appreciated. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom felt quite cold during winter, but this did not significantly detract us from choosing to stay here again should we return to Fes."
