Hot Springs Hotels in Ito

If this is old school hospitality, I'm so glad to have experienced it. The room was spotless, even the bathroom, despite having yellowed a little from age (it was built ~20 years ago, according to newspaper clippings about the owners on the 2nd floor!). The hosts are very welcoming and their hospitality is excellent - for the first time I had face soap, makeup remover and an actual scrunchie provided for me in a guest house. Even the TV can be turned for you to watch from the bed or beside it at the table. There are private onsen facilities on site for free (just gotta pay the legal tax required). The interior looks like old fashioned British houses but with tons of dolphin themed decorations (that the owners like presumably :)) The house is a 20min walk from Futo Station, but the path is very walkable and it also means the place is very serene and peaceful at night. I'd love to go back there.

This was my mother and daughters' first international trip together, and thanks to this place, we had such a happy and enjoyable time! 🥰 Everyone was incredibly friendly, and both the outdoor private onsen and indoor hot spring bath in our room were clean and beautiful! 👍 My mom had been wanting to go to a hot spring for years, and she was absolutely thrilled and very satisfied. 💜 Dinner and breakfast were also fantastic; you could really feel the effort put into each dish, and we got to try new ingredients, so it was all delicious! 😍 If you're driving from Shizuoka by rental car, I highly recommend taking the toll road! We took the free road and ended up learning to drive in Japan 'Spartan-style' on our first day, thanks to the massive forest roads and fog. Haha. We received the best hospitality during our stay, which helped my mother and daughters make truly wonderful memories. 🧡 Thank you so much. We'll definitely come back with the whole family next time! Stepping into the hotel was such a pleasant surprise! It felt like entering a Southeast Asian resort. Facing the endless ocean, my mood immediately relaxed. The service was also excellent; staff escorted us to our room and meticulously explained how everything worked. For dinner, since my daughter doesn't eat seafood and there wasn't an à la carte menu, the hotel specially prepared Udon noodles and Western dishes for her – we were so grateful! In the evening, lying quietly by the pool, gazing at the stars and moon with my favorite music playing in my headphones – this is what life is all about! I'd love to come back and stay a few more nights if I get the chance.

The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of spots for atmospheric photos. The room was spacious and aesthetically pleasing, and the soft futon made for a comfortable sleep. No insects were found. The onsens (hot springs) are fantastic; there are many of them and they operate without time limits, so you're sure to find an available one. The traditional breakfast was interesting and delicious. However, dinner wasn't as impressive – it looked nice, but the taste was mediocre. We've had better kaiseki (traditional multi-course dinner) elsewhere, but perhaps that's just a matter of taste. Also, oddly, we weren't offered a welcome drink or sweet upon check-in, but instead, they gave us a stone to smell!

I really loved this hotel! It was my first time experiencing a hot spring, and I'd recommend thoroughly reading the pamphlet the front desk gives you and picking out a suitable yukata after checking in. That way, you can go straight to the onsen in your yukata. The outdoor onsen offers a distant view of the sea, which creates a truly unique ambiance at night. It would probably be even more enjoyable when it's colder. The room was spacious, and the TV had NHK 4K – watching a World Cup game in the morning felt absolutely fantastic. The hotel offers pickup and drop-off services to Izu-Kogen station, which you can book in English via Ctrip's internet phone.

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory. The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

My family booked a triple room, but the owner moved us to room 205, which has twin beds and a tatami mat. The room is spacious enough for 5-6 people. It also has a kitchen. Drinks are free in the lobby on the first floor, making it a pleasant place to sit and play games in the evening. From Izu Kogen Station to the hotel, you'll need to schedule a pick-up or take a taxi. The roads are narrow and uphill, making it difficult to lug luggage. The area is quiet, with a view of the sea.

”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Highly Recommended!! Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!
