"The actual room looks just like the pictures, and the sea view room directly facing the ocean is beautiful. The elderly couple at the front desk meticulously explained the check-in procedures and hotel services. We were able to communicate basic information using Google Translate. The room facilities were decent, and the cleanliness was good. It's a shame I was too tired to try the hotel's hot spring; that's my only regret."

"I originally planned to leave a 5-star review because the hotel itself has a very nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ended up extremely disappointed due to something being stolen during housekeeping service. I travel frequently and stay in hotels often, so I’m usually very careful. This time, I didn’t bring many valuables with me, so I didn’t lock my suitcase when I went out. I had bought a few items from a drugstore and left them in the room. When I came back, one of the three packages was missing. I assume they didn’t take everything to avoid suspicion. I’m usually very cautious about housekeeping and potential loss of belongings, which is why I selected the “do not disturb / no cleaning” option. However, this hotel requires daily cleaning of the in-room hot spring bath. Since I booked a top-floor room with a private onsen, the front desk informed me that staff would still enter the room to clean it. I never expected that even opened, low-value cosmetics would be taken. The missing items were worth over $60. While it’s not a huge amount, it still feels very upsetting. The hotel itself is fine, but please be very careful with your belongings if you stay here. If you leave the room, make sure to take your valuables with you. The safe in the room is extremely small and cannot hold much. Overall, this experience was very disappointing."

"Followed the navigation for about ten minutes to get there. You take off your shoes at the entrance and change into slippers before entering. Check-in was smooth with instructions in Chinese. We quickly confirmed the dinner and breakfast times and locations. We chose to have it in our room, and they called beforehand to confirm if we were ready. After eating, we just put the dishes back in the box and left it outside the door. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The portions were also very generous. They offer luggage storage. We went to the hot springs both in the evening and in the morning – so relaxing! Of course, we paid the hot spring tax when checking out. Highly recommend."

"This was the best, albeit the most expensive, hotel we stayed at during this trip. The front desk had Chinese maps and instructions, which were very helpful and easy to understand. It's a perfect hotel for a relaxing vacation. **Location:** I'd say it's in rural Japan. There's a shuttle bus to Izu-Kogen Station, no reservations needed. However, the last shuttle from the bullet train station is at 5 PM, and the last one from the hotel is at 12 PM. **Dining:** We booked a package with breakfast and dinner. There's a lovely lady in the restaurant who speaks Chinese and explains how to enjoy Japanese cuisine. The hotel also offers complimentary snacks from 5 PM to 10 PM. If you don't book meals, you could bring some convenience store food and enjoy the free ramen – dining options around aren't very convenient. **Hot Springs:** They have both a public bath and private onsen, both free of charge. You don't need to reserve the private onsen; just grab the sign at the entrance to indicate it's occupied, and return it when you're done soaking. **Environment:** It's a serene and peaceful Japanese-style building nestled in the mountains."

"We were very satisfied with both the room and the service. I highly recommend booking a package that includes both breakfast and dinner to experience the full Japanese service. For families or couples, after checking in, you can use the in-room phone (dial 8) to reserve a 50-minute private family bath session with the front desk. (You might be able to get the key a bit earlier depending on availability.) The cost is about 1680 JPY, which is quite reasonable. Prices for additional drinks, meals, and SPA services are also within a sensible range. One thing to note is that the hotel is located halfway up a hill, so I don't recommend walking there if you have large luggage. You can contact the hotel in advance to inquire about shuttle bus options or take a taxi from Ito Station. If you absolutely must walk, do not follow Google Maps' route from Minami-Ito Station, as this path involves climbing stairs and going over a hill."

"We had a lovely stay at Himalaya Sea. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing sea views, a nice little pool for cooling off in, as well as private and shared Onsen. They were able to accommodate us and provided a vegetarian breakfast. The free drinks (sodas, juice, wine, whiskey, etc) were appreciated. Thank you Himalaya Sea, we hope we can come back again some day!"

"The newly opened hotel offers Chinese-speaking staff who are very friendly and welcoming! The environment is incredibly quiet! The rooms are cozy, and the beds are very comfortable! The bathrooms are clean and spacious, and the rooms offer views of the sea and mountains! The outdoor hot spring is especially wonderful—tranquil and peaceful. Soaking in the hot spring while listening to the birdsong is so relaxing! There's an Italian restaurant right next to the hotel, as well as some local cuisine! The food is excellent and highly recommended! There are also several other restaurants along the street, so dining should be very convenient! I booked a free pick-up and drop-off service from the station, and since it's not far, it arrived quickly! I wasn't late for my train/train! If I have the chance, I'll definitely come back again!"

"A good, but not new, hotel. It boasts a huge golf course, and indeed, the vast majority of guests are golfers who come for a weekend getaway to play without venturing down the mountain. If you have your own car, getting there is convenient. However, for exploring the region, the location isn't ideal; this hotel isn't really set up for that. You can, however, reach Ippeki Lake. I actually walked to the Komuroyama lift in 35 minutes through the camellia garden. From there, you can descend to Kawana Dolphin Beach, but the path isn't particularly convenient, and there are no direct buses. The closest bus stops to the hotel are in Yoshida, and from there, it's a 15-20 minute uphill walk along the road. You won't get lost, as there are plenty of signs. But it's not a straightforward or super easy route, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The rooms are quite standard. They have all the essentials: a kettle with green tea, a fridge, a TV, and various shampoos and gels in the bathroom (yes, there's a bathtub in the room). You can even see Mount Fuji from the window. The hotel itself has an interesting interior with cool details, such as an aesthetically pleasing lounge area before the dining room. The breakfast is good. Everything is tasty and varied; it’s definitely a step up from a basic economy hotel. There are fruits, vegetables, drinks, omelets, rice... and various meat and fish dishes, which I don't really pay attention to since I rarely eat them, but they were there. I didn't get to try the hot springs at the hotel, so I can't comment on them. Since I had already done a lot of hiking in the mountains over a few days, I requested a transfer for check-out. I was the only passenger! It took 7 minutes to Kawana Station, and a train to Ito/Atami was leaving 10 minutes later. Overall, it's an excellent hotel if you're not planning to spend a week traveling along the coast from here. For that purpose, it would be better to find something closer to the sea."

"The hotel environment is fantastic, with vast lawns and the sea right outside. The outdoor hot springs offer views of the sea and the moon, and the hot springs are amazing. The facilities are also excellent. The hotel's interior decor is a bit dated, but the rooms are quite spacious!"
