Staff were wonderful. They held my luggage as I was very early for check-in and communicated via a handheld translator. The room was very nice and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view to the city and surrounding areas. The private hot spring tubby on the deck was also wonderful as you do get the scene to the city and providing a wonderful ambiance. The food provided was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Now the caveat is the hotel is on a hill and unless you have transportation like a rental car or taxi, getting up there is a hike and more so with luggage. The staff also provided me with a shuttle to Itō station and some snacks to my next location. Oh and the wonderful picture they took and framed for me was also so thoughtful

Amazing ryokan! Located conveniently close to the railway station it blends into local woods with its many small villas and paths. The room was nice and had our own balcony looking out to the woods. There was no lack of amenities, futons were comfortable, AC worked just fine, and the wi-fi connection was probably the best we've encountered in Japan. We've tried 3 of 9 private baths and all of them were quite pleasant. However, the Kuromoji bath's door to the outdoor onsen didn't close all the way so it was chilly in the indoor bath, and the Hina bath had just 1 shower (we kind of expected at least 2). The food was excellent! We enjoyed all the courses of dinner and breakfast, but I must say the quantity of dinner dishes was just enough to be 80% full. If you are accustomed to Japanese portions, you might find this dinner too light. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Hanafubuki ryokan and would love to come again!

This was my mother and daughters' first international trip together, and thanks to this place, we had such a happy and enjoyable time! 🥰 Everyone was incredibly friendly, and both the outdoor private onsen and indoor hot spring bath in our room were clean and beautiful! 👍 My mom had been wanting to go to a hot spring for years, and she was absolutely thrilled and very satisfied. 💜 Dinner and breakfast were also fantastic; you could really feel the effort put into each dish, and we got to try new ingredients, so it was all delicious! 😍 If you're driving from Shizuoka by rental car, I highly recommend taking the toll road! We took the free road and ended up learning to drive in Japan 'Spartan-style' on our first day, thanks to the massive forest roads and fog. Haha. We received the best hospitality during our stay, which helped my mother and daughters make truly wonderful memories. 🧡 Thank you so much. We'll definitely come back with the whole family next time! Our trip to Izu was a pleasant surprise! We were incredibly lucky to catch the Tang House private onsen just as it finished construction and opened for guests. Although the new private bath isn't huge, it offers excellent privacy, a quiet atmosphere, and is wonderfully comfortable. After a hot day of sightseeing, filled with heat and exhaustion, a short soak in the onsen washed all the fatigue away – it was incredibly therapeutic. The host thoughtfully arranged a pick-up from Izu Kogen Station and even dropped me off directly at Mount Omuro. The house itself is stylishly decorated and has a great ambiance. Before checking in, I was a bit worried about the shared bathroom, but my concerns were completely unfounded. The space was sparkling clean and bright, and even had disinfectant provided – the hygiene details were meticulously handled. I absolutely *must* praise the host's Biangbiang noodles; the chili oil was incredibly addictive! As someone from Xi'an myself, I found the flavor exceptionally authentic. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the seasoning was spot on. Eating such genuine hometown flavors in a foreign country brought immense happiness. Communication with the host was easy and smooth. Overall, the stay was impeccable, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Izu. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

The room was great, very spacious, and exactly my style. It offered a sea view, though unfortunately, it was partially obscured by trees. It's a shame the hot spring was out of order and I couldn't use it. The only minor issue was that even though my check-in information indicated three guests, only two pairs of slippers were provided. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

Izu Kogen Country Hotel | Exceeded expectations in every way, highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was extremely satisfied with my stay this time, full marks! 🍣 Dinner Buffet & Breakfast • The dinner featured a sashimi bar with incredibly fresh ingredients, refilled endlessly. The hot food and BBQ were also excellent. • Breakfast was equally diverse, offering both Japanese and Western options, all delicious. I was very satisfied with the meals on both days. ♨️ Public Bath • The hot spring bath area is very spacious, with both indoor and outdoor baths, making for a very relaxing soak. • A nice touch: The hair dryers are Refa! They have strong airflow and don't damage hair, which women will love. 🏨 Room • I stayed alone in a large suite-style room. It was spacious with a separate living area, and excellent natural light, far exceeding the average Japanese standard. 🛎 Service & Facilities • The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and free coffee is available in the lobby. • There's a large swimming pool and an on-demand massage/SPA area. • They are also very pet-friendly, creating a warm atmosphere.

Take a taxi from the Ito JR taxi station to the ryokan, do not have to pay the fare, the hotel will handle, the drop-off staff will come to check-in a pair of your names, if correct will handle your fare for this journey. After getting off the bus, the staff pushed our luggage into the hotel and greeted us to check in. The person who explained the process and details to us checked in was a very beautiful staff who clearly explained the hotel facilities, meal times and places. After check in you can first go to the lobby location to get a yukata, in addition yukata and hotel clothes in the room plus slippers can be worn at will within the hotel premises. Once you get to the room, the door is very large, is super large, and there is a private bath can slowly soak, the hotel has a interesting thing is you can design your own slippers, because afraid of people to the public bath will forget their slippers, so there is a black marker for you to design slippers. After walking around the hotel premises, taking pictures, then back to the room to soak in the hot spring, at night to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious dinner, the service staff asked us to communicate in English or Japanese, we said English, he then tried to explain in English all the ingredients for dinner, how to eat and so on. Dinner was really full and satisfied, after dinner back to the room to rest, then made an appointment for a private bath, after the soak was very comfortable. It was a really comfortable rest that night, a really good night’s rest. Morning to the restaurant breakfast, another very satisfying meal, after the meal rest for a while and soak in the hot spring, then check out at 12:00, the hotel will ask you if you need a taxi to JR station, he will help you call a taxi, delivered to JR station is free. Overall, this hotel is very comfortable, quiet, 14:00 check in can stay until the next day at the latest 12:00 check out, can stay more time in the hotel to soak in the hot spring and rest, and the hotel provides skincare is very useful, and after the hot spring in the room like that Cider is particularly good to drink, really spent a very satisfying journey.

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory. The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

A good, but not new, hotel. It boasts a huge golf course, and indeed, the vast majority of guests are golfers who come for a weekend getaway to play without venturing down the mountain. If you have your own car, getting there is convenient. However, for exploring the region, the location isn't ideal; this hotel isn't really set up for that. You can, however, reach Ippeki Lake. I actually walked to the Komuroyama lift in 35 minutes through the camellia garden. From there, you can descend to Kawana Dolphin Beach, but the path isn't particularly convenient, and there are no direct buses. The closest bus stops to the hotel are in Yoshida, and from there, it's a 15-20 minute uphill walk along the road. You won't get lost, as there are plenty of signs. But it's not a straightforward or super easy route, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The rooms are quite standard. They have all the essentials: a kettle with green tea, a fridge, a TV, and various shampoos and gels in the bathroom (yes, there's a bathtub in the room). You can even see Mount Fuji from the window. The hotel itself has an interesting interior with cool details, such as an aesthetically pleasing lounge area before the dining room. The breakfast is good. Everything is tasty and varied; it’s definitely a step up from a basic economy hotel. There are fruits, vegetables, drinks, omelets, rice... and various meat and fish dishes, which I don't really pay attention to since I rarely eat them, but they were there. I didn't get to try the hot springs at the hotel, so I can't comment on them. Since I had already done a lot of hiking in the mountains over a few days, I requested a transfer for check-out. I was the only passenger! It took 7 minutes to Kawana Station, and a train to Ito/Atami was leaving 10 minutes later. Overall, it's an excellent hotel if you're not planning to spend a week traveling along the coast from here. For that purpose, it would be better to find something closer to the sea.

I enjoy the hotel. It’s so simple and it’s comfortable. I’m staying with my three kids and two grandma’s. One of my kids is autistic and he likes the place very much because the rooms are wide. It’s great for a family who on a budget trip😊 the best part is the room is so quiet and you can hear the bird singing early in the morning I guess it’s the best part. My youngest daughter she’s four years old. She said she doesn’t wanna come home yet. She’s not ready to leave the place.
