"Great little motel - On arrival - Annie greeted me and was great to talk to.The room was very clean - everything worked well -the Shower was great[good pressure and enough hot water.  Easy to find and not far away from a main road - with good amenities all around.  It would have scored a 5 for everything - but it is a bit of a walk to the closest beach."

"Was greeted by friendly staff. The room is clean and tidy. Pool and jacuzzi is heated and great. The kids loved it and kept telling me to take them back to the resort to go swimming while we were trying to see sights. Short walk to bars, restaurants and beach. "Random place I must say it’s not a typical pub hotel no one around at check in time had to call reception and wait at the door after calling before to ask how to check in and told to wait until 2. Meanwhile trying to talk over the generators that for someone reason are meant to power this whole complex. Lost power during the night and in the morning. How are you meant to run a hotel or business with inconsistent power source. A hotel that is for people should have power."

Flagship cafe 30 metres away opens for a nice morning coffee. Hayley at reception was very friendly and helpful on check-in and during our extended stay. We first had a studio room which was clean & tidy with a west facing balcony. There was no kitchen in the studio which didn’t bother us as we were aware of this. The only thing missing was a dustpan & brush, and a clothes airer rack would be great. We extended our stay and moved to a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, balcony apartment overlooking the lake which came with a full kitchen. It also was very clean and tidy. Secure undercover car parking was assigned to both apartments. There is a free on-sight laundry should you need it. We found all staff very helpful. The area was very quiet during our week stay and we would happily stay here again."

"Walls of room were scuffed and needed painting. Skirting boards in room parted from wall and needed affixing. Draw would not close and needed fixing. Amenities good but place was showing rust leaks in garden bed walls. Pity so much potential but needed care."

"Booked in April, 2 weeks after booking renovations started, was not advised of renovations until 3 days prior to stay, was advised work was only Monday to Friday, they started work at 6am Saturday morning. No access to pool or BBQ facilities, no offer of compensation or anything."

"This is a fabulous place to stay. We chose a studio room, with ocean view, and it was really worth it. Although we arrived late, we contacted call staff at the door and they talked us through the check in process. Service was kind and responsive throughout. The only small downside was that the rooms are only serviced once each 8 days. However, when we requested fresh towels they were happy to provide them. The pool complex is lovely - the pool is a little cold for winter, but the spa was comfortable and we really enjoyed the sauna. Breakfast was included, and we had the choice of three cafes in the complex, with delicious food at all three. We can't wait to return!"

Beautiful 1 bedroom unit, extremely spacious with all what was needed to have a relaxing stay. Very close to hospital and shopping centre. Highly recommended.

I stay here every time I go to Caloundra. It’s convenient to go anywhere. The sea is just 3 minutes away. It’s great.

It was unexpectedly better that I anticipated. Very clean room, close to everything. We stayed at the studio and it had everything we needed. Very clean room even had daily service. It had a walk in wardrobe, good bed, some dining equipment and we had a direct entrance to the pool from our little patio. I saw the waterfront appartments and want to stay there next time when in Caloundra. This is found to be me place to stay on the Sunshine Coast. Thank you for raising the bar and providing with a little extra service at the affordable price point it’s really nice to have in Queensland these days.

The motel was easy to find. We were surprised to find no front desk but just calling/messaging the number at the front post box was able to get us to someone at their end to start the check in process. The check in process was smooth and easy. The amenities in the room was great and the room itself was spacious. There was even a nice coffee machine and pantry area in the wardrobe. There was no free Netflix account as advertised in the room details but there were other TV channels to watch as well. It was still a great stay overall and we would recommend the place.

The 1 bedroom apartment we booked last minute had everything and more that we needed, a spa bath was an added bonus. Room was clean and large, highly recommend these apartments for a couple get away or family holiday.

From check in to the food at the Tavern was a great experience. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment it was clean, tidy and all that you need for a stay. The pool area is beautiful. The Tavern was great, will be fabulous when the reno is completed and the food A1.

We booked this hotel because of the brand, however it was not as good as the one in Brisbane city. The first day when we arrived, happy with the reception service. However, we didn't notice the dust until the second morning under the sun light. Therefore, we requested a cleanup. After we returned from the beach, the cleaning was 'done', but I noticed the desk was not wiped down nor the carpet was vacuumed. I then went outside to ask for cleaning again, and said this room must be dusted off, due to my son's hay fever, and he didn't sneezed a lot last night. They organised another cleaning, but it's like a real 'whatever'. The photos attached were after the second cleaning. I couldn't believe it but didn't want to ruin the holiday, so I decided to take some photos and cleaned for them, as well as for our own good. The experience this time ruined the reputation of Mercure. We will never return here.
