"This was arguably the most perfect hotel we stayed at during our trip to Switzerland. They offer a free St. Gallen transport card (you need to ask for it at the front desk). The location is right next to the train station, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the rooms are clean with a capsule coffee machine. I'd definitely want to stay here again if I get the chance, especially since it's less than 4,000 [currency, e.g., CHF] for a night in Switzerland!"

"Positive: very nice stay, feel more comfortable in main location. Very close to railway station. To be improved: checkin process, really before visiting you need to enter the details in their webpage to get the passcode for door or entry for that you need Booking confirmation number starting with B. Unfortunately me and also other guest over there have not received, but their customercare was so good they immediately helped by sharing the code and complete the process. So over all except checkin process, all other was so good and we enjoyed. Those who book this apartment plz call to customer care and get your booking id and keep the passcode ready before your travel. Over all loved the stay!"

No Wifi (it is supposed to be there but impossible to receive the SMS code on my French mobile and no alternative solution proposed), no lift (3 or 4 floors to climb, I believe in my respect), Not a climate (but fortunately a fan because he was 31 outside), there are only 2 parking places affected at the hotel and no court. "The accommodation is very well located, near the city centre. The rooms are very clean. When booking via a platform something had not been successful, the support has solved the problem immediately and then I could check in without a chance. I didn't find a furnace. A small waste pad in the room would also be good. Pictures are not hanging in the room... it is very spartanian and cool furnished. But would book again at any time if needed. Price for 1 night absolutely OK! There is a large and modern parking (Einstein). For short-term parking it is very expensive. From 16:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. I paid 45 CHF."

Not too expensive Strong recommendation: provide clarity on the parking of the city of San Gallo. It was easy but none gave us info."

The 4-star hotel in St. Gallen, Switzerland, the service is first-class, courteous and clean. But the twin room of more than 5,500 yuan for 2 nights, 270 yuan for adults and 180 yuan for children, which is chilling! Swimming fitness has to go through the long passage, go upstairs, go downstairs, and toss repeatedly to reach it.

NewStar Hotel is a fantastic hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy. Staffs are kind and nice. The manager Urs is a real gentlemen. Hope everyone will book this hotel and I'm sure you will have a wonderful journey in St.Gallen!

Overall facilities very good. Staff also polite. But experience with catering is below expectation. I had dinner in the hotel on the first night, and choices were limited and expensive. I had a fish but found out half cooked during serving. They just took the remaining portion into the kitchen and re-cook it instead of replacing a new one. Breakfast on last day was also annoying. Our orders of egg was delayed/forgotten ! After chasing, my wife's hard boil egg order became soft egg. And my fried egg order never came and I just gave up. I guess visitors of the property typically has a car and I strongly recommend people to have meals outside.

Very friendly reception and check-in, despite arriving before the check-in desk opened. Everything was very clean, tidy, and nicely decorated in the common area. Warm and dry sleeping accommodations, very reasonably priced. Spartan room furnishings, as usual for a youth hostel. A well-kept garden and a beautiful view. Highly recommended.
