"This hotel is rated five-star, but the rooms feel more like a four-star experience. Comfortable, but lacking a certain luxury. The price would be fair if it were positioned as a four-star hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast; it offered a good variety and tasted delicious, comparable to the Landis Hotel I stayed at the day before. It had more options but no smoked salmon. Pros: Good for an overnight stay near the airport, with a 25-minute bus ride to the terminal. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though the glossy duvet cover and sheets felt a bit low-end. Cons: The room facilities are quite old, probably a 15-year-old renovation. There are no power outlets by the bedside, so you have to use the hotel's slow charging device. Light leaks through the top of the curtains because the tracks aren't overlapped. The bathroom fan doesn't have an off button, but luckily, closing the door mostly blocks the sound. I was in a hurry checking in and out, so I didn't take any photos of the hotel. The picture is of a small fish tank on the hotel restaurant table, which was a nice little surprise."

"This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I am just as pleased as I was during my first visit. The overall environment, including the lobby and rooms, is consistently clean, bright, and well-maintained. It is also very convenient to order food delivery.The location is excellent and very close to the airport, which makes traveling highly efficient. However, I must say that the attitude of the front desk staff was just average and rather lacking in smiles, especially the male staff. Since ********* are generally known for being extremely polite and hospitable to tourists, this was a bit surprising and slightly disappointing.Despite the service, the hotel's hardware and location are still highly commendable. I would recommend it for the comfort and convenience, but I hope the front desk can improve their friendliness in the future."

"This was my first time staying at the Six Star Hotel in Taoyuan, and I chose the business quad room. The price on Friday wasn't bad, and it included breakfast. The room was clean, and the air conditioning was really, really cold! Aside from a slight noise from the AC, the overall experience was good. The hot water for the shower came on quickly, no long wait needed! 👍 For breakfast, you could order a set meal; the portion wasn't huge but it was decent. The self-service buffet didn't have many options, but what they had was quite tasty! There's also a parking lot next to the business rooms. I'd definitely choose Six Star again if I'm back in Taoyuan."

"I rarely leave bad reviews, but this five-star hotel was truly a disappointment. Pros: * The location is convenient, perfect for catching an early flight. * The bed was very comfortable; I slept well. Cons: 1. The toilet design is flawed. The toilet isn't centered, leaving very little space on the left side. If you're a bit heavier, your leg would touch the wall. To make matters worse, the toilet paper holder is installed right there, so you're constantly bumping your arm. You have to be extra careful when using the toilet. 2. What's most unacceptable is the shower head design. There's no high shower head holder in the entire bathroom; the shower head can only be placed at the low level of the bathtub. You have to hold it the entire time you shower, which makes even washing your hair incredibly inconvenient. This design is truly baffling. 3. Even worse, the bathtub edge is exceptionally high. Every time you shower, you have to step over it to get in and out, which is very unfriendly for the elderly or those with mobility issues, and also poses a safety hazard. 4. The standing area in the bathtub is very narrow, and it feels like you're standing on a slope, which is quite unsafe. 5. The room's telephone was broken; it could only receive calls, not make them. As a result, we had to go to the front desk to arrange a wake-up call service."

"We arrive on a late night flight and just wanted a night's rest somewhere close to the airport before moving on. My mom was not very mobile. The hotel staff moved our luggage to our room, and pushed my mom on a wheelchair. And one more thing, my mom enjoyed the breakfast very much. So did I. Loved the traditional Chinese porridge with the pickled vegetables and salted eggs."

"Location to airport is just 25 min via Uber which is very good. However, traveling to Taipei city center is about 1 hr though bus rides are quite efficient. Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly especially on our first day check in we were allowed early check in as the room was already available. Breakfast was good though if you were staying for more than two days, you might tend to skip the last day breakfast as you encounter almost same menu each day."

"They have great facilities like massage chairs, a pool table, foosball, and gym equipment – perfect for a relaxing getaway. I saw a review mentioning bugs on the bread previously, but this time, their breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. Most importantly, they've added covers to the fruit, fresh greens, and bread, which is a huge improvement in hygiene. It felt really good. The exterior might look old, but the inside is clean and comfortable, which is excellent. The only downside is their washing machines are really dirty. That's a huge red flag; if you're staying here, please don't use them. I've already suffered the consequences, so don't be brave like me, or you'll find plenty of 'seaweed' on your freshly washed clothes."

"For a family-friendly hotel, the most important thing is to allow mom to take care of both the young and the old! Southern Manor has it all covered for every age group. You can let loose and have fun in the hotel all day. The indoor spa allows elders to enjoy hydrotherapy with facilities for the whole body, while kids can splash around to their heart's content. The inflatable bouncy castle really tires out the kids, ensuring they sleep well at night. The indoor pool is incredibly well-maintained, and there are many activities throughout the day. The prizes and gifts are thoughtfully prepared and very generous. Although there's no regular buffet dinner, the occasional late-night snack special is a pleasant surprise. When you're on vacation, forget about dieting and just enjoy the food; the hotel isn't afraid of you eating, only of you not eating enough and not sleeping well. The instant noodles and mung bean soup for a late-night snack really give you that feeling of staying overnight away from home! Breakfast is also a huge highlight, incredibly rich and beyond typical breakfast expectations – it's practically lunch-level! The front desk staff and manager are all very enthusiastic, providing thoughtful service and clear explanations. It's clear they work well as a team and are well-trained! A delightful surprise was the small, adorable cake given for a birthday celebration; it was truly thoughtful ♥️, no wonder it's hard to get a room on weekends and business is booming! The only minor drawbacks are that some walls in the room have a bit of efflorescence; regular checks and treatment would be better. Also, the soundproofing is a little bit poor; we could already hear the elderly neighbors chatting loudly at around 5 AM. However, this is hard to prevent, and most hotels are like this…"

"The hotel was clean and hygienic overall. Although the breakfast wasn't extensive, it had all the essentials, including salad and unsweetened soy milk, making it a well-balanced and nutritious meal. The bed in the room had some dust, which needs a bit more attention."
