"The sea view was absolutely stunning. The first picture is of the hotel room in the morning, and the second is of Mount Putuo at noon. The room temperature and air quality were both comfortable. The bedding was clean on both sides, and even for someone like me with a bit of a潔癖 (OCD about cleanliness), the nightstand and TV cabinet crevices were spotless. The location is central to all key spots; it's about a 10-minute taxi ride to the bus station, Zhujiajian Pier, and dining areas. The front desk service was genuinely attentive and thoughtful. The staff member was very clear-headed. My mom has sensitive teeth, so they kindly swapped the welcome fruit for softer, pre-cut fruit, which was a really touching gesture. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. The pillows were also very comfortable to sleep on."

"This was my second stay at this hotel, and it was just as clean, tidy, and odor-free as the first time. The service was excellent, and this visit, I even received a small gift! "It was a great experience. My husband also said it was the best hotel he had stayed in so far, with good service and environment. After staying for two nights, we stayed for another night. Considering that we had to leave in the middle of the night, we chose the cheaper Yuexiang Twin Room. We called to ask if we could not change rooms, and the counter readily agreed to upgrade the room for free. In the evening, we also provided eight-treasure porridge and hot milk for the children. Mineral water was also unlimited. The room was quiet and equipped with an air purifier. It was very convenient to go to various attractions. It was really great. Thumbs up 👍👍Highly recommended 👍"

"Since we were traveling with a child, they upgraded us to a larger room, and the facilities were excellent. The location is superb, with shuttle service to the pier. The butler also planned the most efficient and convenient routes based on where we wanted to go, and their suggestions were really reliable. We initially booked dinner at the hotel restaurant just for convenience, but the dinner turned out to be an absolute surprise! The seafood was incredibly fresh and tasted even better than some of the highly-rated restaurants in Zhoushan – it left a deep impression. There's also a trendy cafe right outside that's great for photos. The service was incredibly thoughtful; they anticipated and provided for all our needs, even the ones we hadn't thought of, like currency exchange, change, and booking morning classes. This trip was a bit rushed, so next time, I'll definitely stay for two nights and try out a morning class."

"The room and bedding are clean and hygienic. It is convenient to see the sea directly in the room. It is also convenient to go downstairs to see the sea. The service is very good. "Pros: 1. Newly opened, but odor-free. 2. The private hot spring room is very well laid out, with three separate rooms that don't interfere with each other. 3. The hotel staff are very polite in person. Room service is always responsive. After our first day, we returned to the hotel at 10 PM and wanted to use the private hot spring. I noticed some water stains in the pool, worried it wasn't clean, so I asked for it to be disinfected right away. They were very diligent and came, which is a huge credit. 4. The room was equipped with a Toto smart toilet, a Panasonic hair dryer, a capsule coffee machine, and drinking water, including four cans of VOSS and two bottles of Nongfu Spring. If the water wasn't enough, we could refill it with Nongfu Spring. 5. The soup is supposedly real, not boiler water, and it's very slippery after a soak. The outdoor hot spring automatically drains at 10 PM every night and automatically fills in the morning. 6. The travel photography lady who provided the service was very professional. 7. Generous! I asked if we could add breakfast for the children, and they readily agreed. Overall, staying in such a new and established hotel in Zhoushan, a city known for its high prices, was quite good during the summer vacation. However, there are some shortcomings that I would like to mention. In particular, the hospitality was superficial, with more formality than substance. For example: 1. I contacted them the night before check-in and specifically inquired about our check-in staff. I also made it clear that I didn't need children's amenities, as I have teenagers. However, upon check-in, the room still had children's amenities, no men's slippers, and no third bath towel or robe. Considering the phone call the night before, this is unacceptable and should have been avoided. 2. In a similar situation, they called me the night before and left their WeChat number, saying they would add me and provide guidance and assistance. In the end, they didn't even offer to add me until I checked in the next day. It would have been better not to mention this service. 3. I haven't encountered a hotel that requires a deposit in a while. It's no big deal if they do. When I checked out, they said we would return the same day by the same route. The next day, I remembered and checked, but there wasn't any. I asked again, and they refunded it. What if I hadn't forgotten to check? 4. The package includes a complimentary mini bar each day. Upon check-in, I was verbally informed that only four items were free; the rest were charged. After check-in, I discovered there were no signs distinguishing the items that were charged, and I hadn't even remembered the verbal notification. I called room service twice before I finally understood. I asked if the Coke and Sprite in the mini bar could be replaced with sparkling water the next day, and they said they would note it. However, not only was there no replacement, but when I returned home after a day of fun, not a single bottle was refilled, forcing me to order more. Two other drawbacks are worth mentioning. 1. The breakfast had a wide variety, but the taste was lackluster. On the first day, everything we tried was a complete failure, and on the second day, we mostly just had porridge and watermelon. The afternoon tea was similarly beautiful, but not very tasty. 2. The bed was too small. The 1.2-meter bed couldn't be moved. While everything else was very user-friendly, this particular point was hard to understand. Aren't twin beds in hotels of this caliber typically 1.35 meters? Even if you have a 1.2-meter bed, it should be possible to move the beds together. This is something to consider carefully for a family of three."

"The hotel offered a complimentary travel photography session. The service was excellent, and the photos turned out beautifully, which I was very satisfied with. There were no hidden costs, and both the photographer and the young lady who assisted us were incredibly warm and welcoming. Overall, the experience was fantastic! We received a complimentary upgrade to a Zen-style bathtub room. The room offered a pleasant ambiance and was spotlessly clean. The guest building is separate from the front desk. While the front desk lobby was air-conditioned, the ground floor lobby and elevators of the guest building had no AC, making it uncomfortably hot. I had specifically paid extra for breakfast because I tend to wake up early and was concerned about potential crowds and queues on the island later. However, hotel breakfast started at 6:30 AM, and the restaurant would not open before then. With the first ferry departing at 6:20 AM, the timings clashed, so I couldn't have the hotel's breakfast and ended up eating out. Moreover, takeaway was not allowed for breakfast. Complimentary disposable toiletries only included a toothbrush and slippers; combs, razors, cotton swabs, shower caps, and soap were all chargeable extras. The parking voucher included 24 hours of free parking per night's stay, with an hourly charge of 8 RMB for any time exceeding that. The hotel is located approximately 800 meters from the ferry terminal."

"Facilities: Brand new, quite modern, high-tech, and smart. Hygiene: Clean, tidy, and well-arranged. Environment: Beautiful, with a great location. It's right next to Baolong Plaza, making dining and entertainment convenient. There's also a park nearby, perfect for kids to play. Service: Warm and enthusiastic. They had already registered my car plate number before check-in, which was very thoughtful. If I come to Zhoushan for a business trip again, I will definitely choose Universal Hotel."
