"The hotel is clean, good and new. It has something wrong and it is that if you go in car it's VERY difficult to park and the whole area is payable, you can have luck depending on the time you arrive, but if you arrive after dinner or out of paying time, prepare for 20 minutes looking for a place. They have private parking but €16 per day"

"I probably stayed in a higher Premier Room which would never come to San Sebastian. The view from the room was beautiful, but it was not easy to travel alone. Recommended for couples, but in San Sebastian I regretted that it was better to spend meals than to spend money on accommodation. There was no problem in the hotel itself, but when the front desk was crowded, it was sometimes waited for more than 5 minutes."

"It's about a 30-minute walk to the old town, so it's a bit far, but this area has a calmer beach and bar scene compared to the old town side. The amenities were also great. I was particularly impressed that they had a comb, which I haven't seen in my other European travels. Having cold water available was also a lifesaver since it was summer. I'd definitely recommend this hotel."

"Hotel is small but in a great location. Reception area is small and no lobby as such. Check in was quick and easy with hints and tips shared. Hotel smells amazing when entering. Room incredibly spacious and bathroom is a great size. Nice touch of a Dyson hairdryer if needed. Good selection in the mini bar and not too expensive.
Gym is small with 2 cardio machines, 1 weight machine and some dumbbells.
Bar area closed as 8 which was a shame as would have been nice to enjoy a drink outside although drink options limited.
5 minute walk from old town. I would recommend and stay here again"

"We come back every year. The location is fantastic and the hotel has a lot of charm. It's a shame that the breakfast quality is declining. There was a staff error, and they told us there were no plates available at the moment. After we finished, we noticed them bringing out eggs and omelets for other tables. We mentioned it to the staff, as these small details make all the difference."

"The hotel is in the suburbs. A bit remote. It's not very convenient to go to the supermarket. But the hotel has its own restaurant and bar. There is a local restaurant about ten minutes' walk away, which is also OK. The swimming pool is not big, but the atmosphere is good. The bed in the room is also very comfortable. It meets the four-star standard. Generally speaking, it is suitable for people who drive themselves to stay overnight."

"Hotel is a regular base quad, the room is not very large.
Big minus - the soul flows underneath and eventually all the water from the shower is poured on the floor of the sauna, and then the rooms. I had to wipe the floor wet at night as there was a flood.
There is no parking at the hotel. The nearest parking is 31.6 euro per day. Mini bar is free at them"

The room was very nice, with a high-end feel, and a welcome champagne was provided. The front desk service is enthusiastic, helping to make restaurant reservations and providing various information. It's a little regrettable that there is no big mirror in the room, so I can't take a look at my whole body. I don’t know how celebrities would react if they tried on clothes without a full-length mirror when they came to stay.

**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”**
Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.
At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed.
However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.
I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.
Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better.
The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.
While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

Guest UserI stayed in a ”city view” room during my solo trip through the Basque region and it was such a comfortable room I forgot about not having sea view.
Though I do recommend to go to the cafe to have the beachside experience if you get the city view room because it overlooks a construction site on the back street.
The hotel was an easy 15min walk with my heavy suitcase from the intercity bus center, just beside the beach. The room was squeaky clean with a large bathtub, and the bed so comfortable I could not get up to go see the sunset! Also helpful kind staff and great location for getting around the city on foot or by bus. I went to the Chillida Leku museum it was 30min by bus no25.
Highly recommend!

Guest UserIf you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, this location might just suit you — provided you’re comfortable with being quite far from anything of note. That said, it’s not entirely cut off; there’s a bus stop directly outside with services running roughly every 15 and 30 minutes, which does make getting around manageable.
The setting is quiet and relaxing, with a pleasant bar on-site and a decent selection of tapas, which added a nice touch to the evenings. However, there were a few drawbacks during our stay. The television in the room didn’t work at all — unsure if it was just the batteries in the remote or a more serious issue, but we couldn’t get any power to it, which was a shame.
Breakfast was tidy and kept us going, but it did become repetitive after a couple of days. The pastries in particular were a bit disappointing — rather dry and not the freshest.
Overall, it’s a good spot if you value tranquillity and can cope with a bit of isolation. With reliable transport links it offers a relaxing base, albeit with room for improvement in a few areas. There is a confidence shop and a bar that does food about 10 mins walk away and playground for children mostly in neighbourhood of homes though.

Shiow ChinLocation is a bit out of the city centre, but located in a peaceful area (contrastingly) next to a forest and a biotech hub. However, a bus stop a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel has a service that goes directly to the Boulevard located between the Old Town and the City Centre (85sen per trip or cheaper with the San Sebastian Card - available at the hotel) within 25 mins (or slightly longer with traffic).
My room was comfortable and clean, although it might be a bit tight for space with 2 people. Bed was comfortable with pillows of various firmness.
Bathroom was big and well-designed, although the shower and bath might be a bit tight for larger people. Shower pressure was excellent.
Tip: Open the drawer under the sink to dispose your garbage and recyclables.
Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful.
My only complaint is that my water was never refilled throughout my stay, but I admit I did not ask about it at the time.

M. SoA boutique hotel close to the Dona Katalina Zubia. There are two entrances to the hotel, the main one facing the road and the other entrance facing the Urumea River. Staff were friendly and always had a smile. The hotel is quite clean and everything is within 15mins walk. The amenities are limited, but there is a 24 hour reception and bar downstairs, a nice roof top sunbathing area and a gym. Please double check the other amenities listing when booking, as I don't recall seeing the Public Bath, Foot Bath and Clothes Dryer as advertise. I would also suggest to check the batteries of the remotes before someone check ins, as I had to request it to be changed and it wasn't available until the next day, more compliment bottles of water and dental kits (given there was 3 of us and only 2 bottles and 1 kit). Overall though, I enjoyed the stay and would come back again.

Suneesh MenonI stayed at Hotel Zinema7 for 4 nights. The hotel has a modern design, comfortable rooms, and a pleasant atmosphere overall. However, there were a few disappointing aspects to the stay.
The location is not very central, which means you need to rely on buses or taxis more often than expected to reach the Old Town and main tourist areas.
The biggest frustration was that the telephone in the room was not working throughout the stay, despite reporting the issue. Unfortunately, it was never fixed, which made communication with reception inconvenient.
Another disappointing point was the complimentary water policy. Water was provided only on the first day, even during a 4-day stay, which felt unnecessarily stingy for a hotel of this category.
Overall, the hotel has good design and comfortable facilities, but the service experience and attention to guest convenience could definitely be improved.

The pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean.
The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season.
The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages.
Local food is excellent.
I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

This hotel is adults only, which is great! There should be more like it. The location is fine, it’s in a quiet street, which feels far out the city, but it’s actually around the corner from the shops and cathedral and the beach. It’s about 20 mins walk from the old town, though.
The hotel has a trendy feel and is very ************ and inclusive, which is fantastic.
However the rooms are really small and there’s nowhere at all to put one’s toiletries in the bathroom: it could have been designed better. The balcony was huge and great, but without sun umbrella we couldn’t stay outside in the 30C heat. We found some maintenance issues: leaking tap, broken bathroom door, wonky TV set, but the rest was fine. Average, but cheaper than other hotels in the area.
