"We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff.
When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard.
Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub.
Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well."

"Good location, very close the centre and have much restaurants. Room clean and tidy but the lack of a refrigerator is not ideal in hot weather."
