"I can and do recommend this hotel. I stayed at the hotel for 17 nights. My room was on the ground floor and was very comfortable, there is not one thing that I can complain about. I got to know the staff, who were absolutely magnificent. They could have done nothing more to make me feel very welcome and at home. From the reception, bar, dining room, kitchen and housekeeping staff, they made me feel like I came home every evening when I got back to the hotel. They went out of their way for me. Thank you to Varun, Aniken, Jake, Vix and the rest of the staff. I can’t recommend Garner Samlesbury Hotel enough!!!"

"Our initial room was very dusty and had a smell of cigarette, my wife made a complaint and reception staff were very helpful, they came to our room and witnessed the dust and changed us to another room with a free dinner although we did insist that we did not mind to pay we did not want them to feel as if we were taking the micky but we have a little that very sensitive."

"The room wasn’t bad but the pillows were like bricks the quilt wouldn’t stay on the bed so I didn’t get a good sleep. If I wasn’t in a hurry getting away in the morning, I would’ve told them and then their guarantee did not come up to expectations compared to previous stays at their hotels. Fortunately, I’m a little bit deaf so I didn’t hear the rattle as my daughter did- was it the Air/ heater? Oh, and the Booking said those parking there was on the street on double yellow lines as I’m disabled maybe my Blue badge saved me.! not many out of 10 I’m afraid."

"More a less completely clean, only nit pick could be towls, as are white need a bit of a better wash. Located right along from the station makes it very convenient, there are also some local shops nearby too. Lady who greeted me was freindly and prompt although we did not interact much after that. Not much in the rooms nothing in the ways of fans, hairdryers etc but you dont expect it for the price you are paying so not an issue. Overall, very good value for a decent nights sleep so no complaints would stay again."

"Very straightforward check in, welcoming host. Room served us well during our stay. Breakfast was good, we could help ourselves to the cereals and juices etc. A waitress took our order for breakfast, a fried English breakfast and filtered coffee arrived in a timely manner. I was really impressed.  Shops, bars and pubs just a 5 min walk away. Parking was convenient and secure. If I’m in and around this area again, I will be booking here."

"The staff in the hotel are the best I’ve ever come across . I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in the uk and the staff aren’t very better than any other I’ve been in . Please open one in Sheffield then we can ditch leonardos. Nice touch with the duck and pack of biscuits"

"It's really nice and cool hotel, a strategic place close to the city center and the mall, close to the food sellers. The staff are friendly and meticulous, the hotel is clean. Really clean. It's cool that there are rolls, my son and I like it. The pillows and rolls look new, soft and thick. All room facilities from the air conditioner are really cold, the bathroom faucet is good to turn on. Food is also delicious. Best, recommended. Next time I will definitely staycation here again, see you next time"

Really nice hotel but a party was held downstairs that went on until 2am then spilled outside until 4am. Very poor sleep as a result and no response from hotel when contacted regarding. The hotel is part of the AFC Fylde football club who had just been promoted the day of my stay and were celebrating. Understandable BUT the hotel should have been closed to regular guests under the circumstances and the lack of response to the issue is exceptionally poor. Cannot recommend as a result.

It was ideal for our needs as we were looking for a conference venue for June 2027. We will put our choice to the committee when we meet next month. Easy for all motorways around Preston, quiet, comfortable rooms, ample meeting rooms and good value for money. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast choices were very good.

Unbelievably good experience. Amazingly good value for money. Really great, friendly service, beautifully clean premises and room, gorgeous smelling linen, really comfy bed… best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel. And riverside views. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again. Great location - only a 10 min walk into the heart of the city centre, also on the doorstep of beautiful walks along the river Ribble through Miller Park and Avenham Park.

There is work ongoing which means there is no restaurant. It is very loud expecially with the work starting at 8am. The staff are really lovely. Although the heating did not work in my room, they were able to offer me a new room.

The room and bathroom were clean, the mug and kettle, coffee-tea-sugar and milk were prepared in a tray, even the room had a fan and heater which I didn't use , because weather was good but it was really good I saw them in the closet, I asked for iron and hair dryer, reception was a super nice gentleman who explained to me everything I needed. I stayed for one night, but I recommend strongly, better than Airbnb, no Airbnb with same or higher price accepted my request because I just wanted a night and all of them said you should at least book for 3nights! The other reason is I had my own shower and toilet. there is no need to share it with others,and lock the door. The doors had electronic locks, though, really safe and close to different bus stations. Thank you!
