"For the last few days of my Indonesia trip, to escape the crowds of Bali, I came to Lombok to slow down and recuperate. I stayed one night at the Sheraton in Senggigi, and the service was so attentive, detailed, and thoughtful that it was unforgettable. Arriving at this hotel, there was a huge drop-off in experience right from the moment we walked in. First, it was very unusual for them to take us to our room with our luggage to check-in. They led us to a small room on the second floor in a corner of the backyard. It was so tiny that there wasn't even space to open our suitcases. After completing the formalities, they opened the curtains and told us they were sorry, but there was construction going on at a neighbor's site outside the window, which might be disturbing. I said that wasn't right; I had clearly booked a mountain view or garden view room, which was also larger than this. This was obviously not the room I booked. My husband spent a long time discussing it with the check-in staff, and they agreed to change our room. They showed us a larger room and said we'd have to pay extra, which we didn't accept. We insisted on a room with the same conditions and price as our original booking. We then had to wait in the courtyard for a long time again. Finally, we were moved to a room that was more or less comparable to what we had booked. It felt like there was a clear差別待遇 (differential treatment) between Chinese tourists and Caucasian tourists; if you don't argue your case, you'll be assigned the worst rooms that don't meet booking standards. After that, the service attitude was still acceptable. However, the next day, I asked the housekeeping staff for two extra bottles of water. When I returned to the room, I saw a trash can filled with two bottles of water placed on the bed. I don't know what that meant. I originally wanted to be more eco-friendly and not change the bedding, but now I had no choice but to ask them to change all the linens. The hotel's location is quiet yet convenient. The design style and interior space are quite good, and the breakfast at the restaurant has long serving hours and decent taste. It's not far from the beach, and it's convenient for shopping and dining nearby, but the overall prices are a bit high."

"It was a great stay, just everything. Tjough tjis is my first hotel on Lombok, it is just the best! Magnificent villa, extremely friendly staff, service over WhatsApp, food ordering to the villa. Just great, thank you!"

"Total 4 buildings. Deluxe Ultimate Rooms, in a 4-storey building at the back, are newer and very beautifully furnished. Deluxe Classic rooms (in 3-storey buildings) look rather old and worn and some of them (in the first building, nearest to the reception, are under renovation). Some construction work is being carried out now next to the reception and in the first hotel building - thankfully, I didn't hear any noise or disturbance from my room. Reception is very drab-looking and dimly lit and the tiny lobby is not a place you wish to hang around. Standard check in time is overly late, at 3 pm. Didn't use the 2 pools as I was there in the rainy season and most days, it rained on and off throughout the day. New hotel restaurant at the back is air-conditioned (there's outdoor dining area too), very clean and exudes great ambience! Buffet breakfast has lots of choices - some of the selections are good (pizza, finger food and some of the hot dishes) while others, like the pastries (limp and cold) and chilled items (pretty but excessively sweet desserts) didn't appeal to me. Wifi was painfully slow and frequently got disconnected in the room - the strongest signals are in the restaurant and reception. Overall, I love the spacious, beautiful and well furnished new Deluxe Ultimate room, the greenery all around and the friendly staff service."

"Novotel Hotel in Kuta Lombok is honestly an amazing place to stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, peaceful, and perfect if you’re looking for somewhere quiet to unwind. What really stood out for me was the staff — incredibly warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. They make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. That said, the location is quite remote. It’s not within walking distance of Kuta centre, so you’ll need to arrange a car. The hotel can organise transport for about 50,000 rupiah one way (roughly a five-minute drive). There’s no Grab or regular taxi service around because the local community supports their own drivers, which is actually a positive thing and understandable. If your plan is to relax, enjoy the hotel, and take things slow, it’s a fantastic choice. But if you like exploring, dining out frequently, or moving around a lot, keep in mind that you’ll need transport everywhere — and depending on where you want to go in Lombok, some trips can easily take a few hours."

"A modern hotel with good service. Polite staff, speaks excellent English. The breakfast is varied and delicious, buffet type. The room is not very spacious, but cozy and clean. Air conditioning, TV, window. It was quiet at night, and the mattress was great. There was not enough soap in the bathroom, you can ask the administrator for a hairdryer. Kuta beach is a 3-minute walk away, in the evening there is a market, many cafes and a supermarket nearby."

"This hotel offers a great stay with an amazing breakfast. They provide a shuttle bus service to the town area. However, the beach here is not as nice as Gili Meno, for instance, and the Tanjung Aan area, which is supposed to have beautiful white sand beaches, has been deteriorated. I recommend this hotel for a staycation, but it is definitely not an ideal spot for a beach holiday."

"Been return for third time in a year! That’s the best thing I would say to start the review. The location is off the busy streets of Kuta but very near to tanjung An and merese. The hotel is small and most of the time is not too busy. I enjoy the tranquility and the pool which oversee a lot of greens and ocean. Room is great size with balcony, will have to depends which direction it facing. Hot water might come bit late, lighting are all great, room is generally clean. Linen has some wear and tear but not alarming. The restaurant provide quite diverse menu and some of it are of good quality. Breakfast could definitely be done better in sense of selection and quality. Speed of cooking could be improve but it might be tied with small kitchen. Team members there are generally provide warmth service and quick to respond."

"It’s situated not too far from the main busy area of kuta, but it’s still bit far from the beach. So overall not too bad for location. Pros: - Good facility of coworking space and a spa, which is much appreciated. - room layout is good with balcony. Would suggest to opt for the one level up so there is some privacy compare those has direct ground level access. - overall service is great, very strong SOP driven and ensure you are taken care the same by everyone. - room is clean and housekeeping is quite good. Thought some spots could be improved. Cons - the room sound proof is issue. Due to gaps and room material, can obviously hear all the rooster sounds, azan and even people talking. Might not be good for light sleeper. - it is surrounded by lots construction, though the noise doesn’t affect but it’s not too pleasant as at now. - restaurant food option is quite limited. Hard to stay excited if stay for longer. - wifi is an issue, hardly can connect at my room. But totally no problem at the coworking space"

"I stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights with my two sons. I rented a car from the airport to here for about 30 minutes, and I also enjoyed seeing many surf schools on the road today. The sea scenery is still before development, so it's really good However, if you don't rent a car, it's a little uncomfortable every time you go to downtown or other beaches. It's in a remote place. But it's so quiet and relaxing. It's 60 minutes to downtown Mataram, 50 minutes to Selong belanak, west of the city. Many mountains are being cut and under construction due to development here and there, Recommended if you are looking for a quiet and secluded place. The sincere breakfast is also delicious. Our children are children who can't eat bread as a staple, but they kindly prepared rice. Thank you 🙏🏼"

"The resort is stunning. We received a warm welcome with a complimentary upgrade. The pool is amazing, and the rooms are very spacious, around 40sqm, and well-equipped. Cleaning is thorough and done daily, with towel changes every day and linen changes every three days. The breakfast offers a good variety, although it caters more to local tastes."
