We have a variety of seasonal foods and you can also enjoy the roof garden that has an open-air bath at an altitude of 800m.

"I looked forward to my stay in this hotel very much given the good comments on the Internet. The open air bath on the rooftop is great. You can see the stars on a clear days, but there is no shampoo and shower gel there. You can also choose your own yukata. They are not very fancy ones but much better than the standard basic yukata. However, I found the dinner disappointing. I paid around 6000 yen for the dinner. There were just a small portion of appetizers, udon noodles with pork, a pot of rice and a small dessert. I also paid extra for the drink. The taste was very average. You can have much better dinner in a restaurant in this area."

"The inn is located at the highest point of the stone steps of Ikabo Onsen, and the room offers a view of the scenery down the mountain. Although old, but still well maintained, staff service attitude is good, the lobby has free coffee, tea and other drinks. It's a pity that I went to the wrong open-air hot spring because I didn't listen to the staff's introduction."

"Because the hotel has more than 100 years of history, so it looks like the room may feel a little older, initially I was a little unaccustomed, but when you observe a little more carefully, you will find that the staff is very careful to organize every place very well 👍 Dinner/breakfast time is up, when you walk out of the room and slowly start approaching the restaurant step by step, you will start to smell the aroma coming out, feel particularly hungry🤤, their service attitude is really 100 points good, so I am very satisfied, for me personally, I like to stay in a traditional Japanese hotel, this is my second favorite inn😍"

"One of the nicest places I stayed. Each room is in the separate container. Inside, there is a toilet with a bathtub and a spacey room. There is a fridge and microwave oven. You can grab free coffee and tea, and some light meals, which, honestly, are not very great (the only drawback). It is less than 5 minutes away from the station (fast walk). And the service is great."

"I visited during a three-day weekend in November. I was lucky to get a reservation the day before my stay. However, the hotel was a little outside of Ikaho's tourist attractions, so walking might be difficult if you can't catch the shuttle bus. The stone steps are about a 10-minute walk away, but the walk is quite steep (though the taxi driver said it was possible to walk there). The shuttle bus doesn't run directly to the hotel entrance and stops after 6 PM, so I wanted to take photos of the night view of the stone steps and Kajika Bridge, but it was cold outside and the slope made it difficult. The hot springs I was looking forward to were the rock bath in the basement and the large public bath on the third floor. The rock bath is timed and alternates between men and women, but it can be difficult for men to use at times. It's open until 8 PM in the evening and from 8:30 AM in the morning (otherwise, it's only available to women). Check-in is at 5 PM, so if you eat dinner after 6 PM, you won't have time to use the rock bath, which is a bit disappointing when you're busy getting ready to leave in the morning. The large public bath was clean and nice, but... Dinner was a buffet and breakfast was a buffet. There was crab at the buffet, but it was watery and not much meat. The sushi was probably conveyor belt sushi-level, wasn't it? It's a shame, as many of the other dishes and meats were delicious. I also wish there was an all-you-can-drink option. The breakfast buffet was very satisfying! All the food was delicious. My room was a twin, but it was clean and had a small cypress bath in the indoor bath! It was nice that you could see the occupancy status of each facility on the TV. The staff were all polite, but if you're expecting old-fashioned hospitality, you might be disappointed. It's a sign of the times, I guess. Overall, there were some disappointments, but I was satisfied!"

"Stayed there for 2 nights as a solo traveller. Most staff couldn't speak English but tried their best to communicate via translator apps and provided excellent service. Breakfast & dinner were served in the common rooms at Level 2, and the spread was different for each day. Food was pretty decent and very generous servings. Access to the public baths & rooftop onsens are limited by timings, staff will inform you at check in. Location is excellent, very near to the Ikaho bus stop that has the buses to Shibukawa JR station. Note it is on a very steep slope so you will have difficulties if travelling with heavy suitcases. Generally a very pleasant stay, and was very warmed by the heartfelt service."

"It should be regarded as the best hotel in Yixiangbao. It has a history of more than 400 years, but it does not feel old. Several soups are great. The service staff are professional and thoughtful. The small robot in the lobby is super cute. There is a small restaurant on the 19th floor to the entrance and exit of the stone steps, three private rooms, open at 8-11 every night, fried dumplings and ramen are delicious. The people in this place are friendly and hospitable. Udon noodles are local specialties, and each one is delicious; the ancestral stone pot curry rice of the Black Boat House is particularly delicious; Sara's Terrace Arraiya 's package is very homely; Lungo's own roasted coffee is the best to drink, with a bunch of rice cakes is too fragrant! The matcha shop next to the ladder is already very popular, but the clerk is so enthusiastic. When I fell down, I immediately took the first aid kit and ran out to deal with the wound. I was moved! The nearby original gallery is also worth a visit, in a pasture with lots of sheep."

"I extended my stay by two days because I found it so comfortable. The hotel's breakfast and dinner were slightly different each day to avoid repetition. The hot springs were also very relaxing. Only a few staff members speak English; I hope they continue to provide enthusiastic service to their guests."

Although the hotel has no special appearance, the internal rooms are great. The large glass windows can see Chicheng Mountain and Yuanming Mountain, and you can see great scenery when you get up early. It is also very close to Shiduan Street, there is a shuttle bus, you can also walk there. Breakfast and dinner are also delicious, kaiseki cuisine level. Service is excellent, it is the best service I have traveled so many times in Japan.

I booked a Japanese-style room with a view of Ikaho Ishidan Street outside the window. The hotel's environment, service, and food for one night and two meals were also very delicious. The aperitif was brewed by the hotel itself. It can be seen that a lot of thought has been put into running the hotel well. It is very warm and my family and children are extremely satisfied. The private bath provided by the Japanese-style room is also very comfortable and perfect.

Location of the Ryokan is excellent and very convenient. Service is fantastic from valet parking, front desk to in room dining. However, the property is very old and the dated. As the walls are thin, noisy neighbours made it difficult to sleep.

I can see that it is a historical hotel. Because it is a Saturday relationship, the unit price I booked is a bit high, but compared to the hotel in Tokyo, I am relieved. This hot spring hotel is all-Japanese, breakfast and dinner are all, if you want to drink coffee, there is a vending machine, The room and the hot spring feel that there is a new finishing, only the hall has traces of history.

Great hot spring hotel ♨️ and also very famous, it is said to have a bit of history ~ the room is very big, and the staff will carefully write the guest's name on the door after booking. There is a parking lot right in front of the hotel. There are some souvenirs on the first floor for guests to choose and buy. The price is moderate-the whole hotel is very quiet. There is an observation deck on the top floor, and there are places to eat and drink. It is above the housing floor, the housing is on the middle floor, and the hot spring is under the housing floor.

The room is big, the living is very comfortable and the service is good. There is a certain distance from the scenic area. The main reason is that the entrance to the gate is uphill, so it is a bit troublesome. Take the bus and get off at the stop in front of Shiduan Street in Ikaho Hot Springs.

In the more affordable hotel in Yixiangbao, the price is not expensive, but the service is very thoughtful. If someone wants to book this hotel, you can tell him your itinerary by email. What time does the jr bus arrive? Basically, there will be a hotel bus to pick you up. The hotel is a time-honored brand, although the facilities are a bit old, but relatively complete, the front desk, the service staff are older, but very careful. Also very polite. Dinner default barbecue, there are long-foot crabs, burdocks, and big choices. All three are very good. It is recommended that the burdock is a local famous beef, very delicious. On the first night, because of the first day of the summer vacation, I had two stays with my wife. So the hot spring opened a female soup, which is equivalent to the private soup. I soaked the female soup and male soup for two days. The open-air environment of men and women's soup is very good, the supporting after-bath facilities are armed to the teeth, and the whole body is from care to feet. This price is really good to have such an affordable public hot spring. If you go to the top of the famous mountain cable car last autumn, you must go to the front desk to get a promotional leaflet with coupons on it. Shanyang Hotel gave me a home away from home service. When I stayed in and left, the service was very good and very warm. If I go to Yixiangbao next time, I will continue to choose to stay.
