"We had a wonderful stay at Montagne Boutique. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the facilities were excellent. We especially enjoyed the amenities and the overall relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was also convenient for exploring the area. "This is a very well priced accommodation but wish we’d known a few things first. There is only a fan in the room which means the room is very warm outside of directly in front of the fan. This did mean we ended up lying side ways on the bed to both reach the fan. The bathroom had mesh across the back so has an outside feel and some outside critters. We had to evacuate a few huge flying beetles across the two nights. It’s a peaceful location further away from Kampot centre than others but there’s always tuk tuks available right out front so isn’t too much of an issue. We probably would stay closer to the centre next time as we prefer to be closer to restaurants, despite the nice views of the river. Showers are okay temp and low pressure but overall fine."

"It was my first trip to Kampot so I searched for a hotel which was close to the city center, with good reviews, spacious rooms, at a good price. Chateau Kampot fit perfectly with what I was looking for. The hotel was newly opened in the beginning of 2026. I like the colonial style architecture combined with a very modern design. I especially liked the arched wall openings throughout the interior and exterior of the building. I booked the Executive Suite for my 4 night stay. The check in process upon my arrival was very smooth and pleasant. After check in, the person at the reception (front) desk provided me with a map of the city and pointed out several recommended places to visit. My room was very spacious and ultra clean. It came with a couple of lounge chairs to relax in and a nice balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the fresh air and views of the city. My favorite part of the whole room was the bed. The linens were so crisp and clean; the mattress had an additional pad which felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. I travel quite a bit and sometimes stay at luxury hotels and the bed at Chateau Kampot was one of the best I slept in. I enjoyed the very nice pool which included a jacuzzi and a small peaceful water fall. The pool was long enough to swim some laps for exercise. There was a small fitness center with dumbbells, weightlifting bench, and 2 cardio machines to keep my exercise routine going during my stay. There is also a nice spa in the hotel with massages and body scrubs & wraps at a reasonable price. The hotel also gives you a complimentary 30 minute massage in addition to 30% discounts on other spa services at the time of my stay. The breakfast was well prepared and delicious. You select off the menu with either Western or Asian offerings. My favorite was the eggs Benedict; the fact that it was done perfectly shows the skill of the chef. The coffee brewed with local beans was also of excellent quality. The staff members at the hotel are very professional and customer focused. The gentleman at the reception desk were always friendly and pleasant. They were also eager to help with anything to make your stay in Kampot enjoyable. One gentleman at the reception desk arranged a tuk tuk driver for a day tour of Bokor Mountain. The driver was so friendly and spoke perfect English which made for a wonderful day. This hotel is family-owned and focused on providing their guests with the best experience. During my stay, two family members on separate occasions approached me to see how my stay was going and asked for feedback on how they could improve their hotel and services. This personal interaction with their guests display their desire to make their hotel the best it could be. I highly recommend the Chateau Kampot and will definitely stay there again for my next trip to Kampot."

"My family had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The room was large, had comfortable beds, and opened up onto a balcony with a view of Kampot town.....the only thing it lacked was a small fridge to keep food and drinks in. The hotel was in an excellent position; situated on a corner and with a Chinese restaurant next to reception, it was close to many cafes and restaurants up and down the bisecting streets."

"I stayed here for a training trip. Although it was a bit far from the training venue, the hotel's central location in Kampot made it incredibly convenient to access nearby restaurants and supermarkets, so I was very satisfied with the location. The room I was assigned was spacious and airy, which was lovely, but on the other hand, the shower stall was extremely cramped and inconvenient to use, which was a shame. Additionally, the old air conditioner was quite noisy, and a large number of ants appeared in the middle of the night, making it very difficult for me to sleep. However, the front desk staff were excellent and their warm hospitality really made up for it. Given the superb service and convenience, I really hope they can improve the hardware aspects like air conditioning and hygiene management."

"The hotel was excellent. Spacious rooms, great pool , excellent staff. We loved our pool entry ground floor room. Highly recommended I would not recommend booking tours from the hotel as they may not be guides , just drivers that don’t speak your language. It’s also convenient to High Tide Doggy Pub, which I recommend to visit."

"We loved staying at Amber. Because place, comfortable bed and big shower space, just perfect for families. We feel very welcomed and warm the whole time of our stay. The pool in our private villa could have been improved, the water is a bit unclean, also the garden next to the pool should improved, it was a bit messy in our room. We like our sunset boat trip, it added an extra special memories for our family especially our little girl."

"The facilities are okay. The staff were not rude, but they were not very friendly or helpful. No one helped carry our luggage or showed us how to use the room key card or explained the room facilities, so the service could be improved. I booked a pool view room, but my room was not directly facing the pool. Instead, it was facing the reception area. This was okay, and I didn’t mind because the pool area can be noisy. The rooms are very close to each other, so it was quite noisy from the neighboring rooms, and I couldn’t sleep well."
