Sokcho-si Hotels with Wifi

"The lobby facilities are quite comprehensive, with a coffee shop and convenience store. The rooms have balconies, and the lake view from the upper floors is pretty good. However, there's no microwave or washing machine in the room. If you want to wash clothes after a trip to the beach, you have to go to the basement. It costs 3,000 Korean Won per wash, and there are only three machines, so you might have to queue if it's busy. There's no dryer either."

"While clean, the room was much smaller than I anticipated. Check-in took an incredibly long time; I waited for three hours! They claimed to be following check-in numbers sent via KakaoTalk, but this wasn't actually the case. Someone making a lot of complaints was prioritized, and the whole situation was just chaotic. The room was surprisingly small and looked nothing like the photos. I was assigned to Building A, but the pictures on Trip.com were completely different from the room I received (I suspect they were of Buildings B and C). I initially wondered if the hotel had given me the wrong room, but upon re-examining the photos, the very last one did seem to be of Building A. Honestly, I feel deceived, having chosen the room based solely on those initial, misleading pictures. The swimming pool also incurs an additional charge of 80,000 KRW per person (I didn't use the pool). There's a bakery area, and its lobby is so close to the pool that everything is visible from there. While waiting for check-in, I had coffee in the lobby, and it felt rather awkward seeing people in their swimsuits so close by. Breakfast is divided into two time slots, so you must arrive at your allocated time. The coffee service, where staff pour it for you, was also quite inconvenient. Normally, one would get coffee from a self-service machine, but here there's a dedicated 'coffee zone' where you have to place an order with staff. When there's a queue, you end up waiting with your food in hand, which is truly inconvenient. And the coffee wasn't even exceptionally delicious. Despite having three staff members at the coffee zone, the whole process felt incredibly inefficient. The breakfast food itself, however, was tasty. Oh, and a quick note: Netflix isn't available in the rooms, haha. I honestly think the Lotte Resort, where I previously stayed, is far superior. Their rooms are much more spacious, the pool is complimentary, and it definitely has a more luxurious vibe. Breakfast at Lotte is also tastier, in my personal opinion (and you *can* watch Netflix there!). To sum up, Cassia offers breathtaking scenery. The breakfast was varied and delicious! However, I feel they haven't made effective use of the hotel's interior space. It's genuinely vast, and as you wander, you encounter tables, uncomfortable chairs, and very large art books on display, but it all feels a bit forced and out of place. I never felt like sitting down and relaxing on the chairs, which were also uncomfortable. The overall interior design felt somewhat unkempt and disjointed. It's a shame such a large space wasn't utilized more thoughtfully. Next time, I'll probably opt for Lotte Resort over Cassia."

"Mari Vista hotel is an excellent hotel, close to everything: beach, restaurants, bus stops to Seoraksan park or Naksansa temple. It is also within a walking distance to Abai village. The hotel is modern and clean. The check-in is at 3pm and you have to get a number and wait in line. The check-out is simpler as you just have to drop your key cards into a box in the elevator."

"Ramada boasts truly stunning ocean views. The location is superb, ideal for a leisurely stroll after a meal. We decided to have breakfast on our last day and were pleased to find they've added pho (rice noodles) to the menu. My mother, who had been craving something warm since morning, absolutely loved it and ate it all up."

"No tea bags or coffee sachets provided, which is a bit weird.  Water pressure for shower is way too weak.  No room cleaning services, leaving alone having your new towels put outside your room in the morning. Only 4 lifts serving way too many hotel stayers, resulting in long waiting lines and thus, time.  Views are magnificient however.  The room is so massive and the balconies are spacious."

"Excellent location (I mean EXCELLENT) as it's 5 min away from the entrance of the park. It is easy to get to by bus no 7/7-1 and by taxi. The hotel looks a bit old from the outside but it is tastefully decorated on the inside and they keep very well in line with the English theme. The rooms are clean and spacious, with very nice views. They have a nice space to put things away and a small fridge. Our shower unfortunately wasn't sealed from the shower door so we ended up with water in the whole bathroom (difficult to control with a 6'4 partner). It has in house laundry and a small grocery shop that saved us one day it was raining too much to head back to the restaurant area. Really recommend if you're visiting the park (or Sokcho as it's also 15-20 min away by bus). Very friendly staff."

"Good location with few convenience stores and restaurants nearby, near to espresso bus terminal so easy to reach from Seoul, and also near to the Sokcho beach, friendly staffs, spacious room and comfortable bed, and of course nice sea view from the room, we are very satisfied with our booking, highly recommended!"

"I visited with my 18-month-old baby. I chose this room because it didn't have a bed guard, which was perfect. The location was excellent, and the view was fantastic. Being right in front of Sokcho Beach, we could easily go for walks, and parking wasn't bad either – it was all wonderful. We were able to lay down a mat in the living room and sleep with the baby. There was plenty of bedding, which I was satisfied with. I didn't have high expectations for cleanliness, so it was decent. The ocean-view side elevator was also not bad as it was mostly used by fewer people. I'd probably go again if I get the chance."

"Great service where you can check in and check out without meeting people. there is kiosk at the lobby and it has korean english and chinese too. beach is really close, and other shops like cafes (literal cafe. not like 백다방 or 메가커피only. well they do have those two shops too), convenience stores, and photobooth (포토이즘, 인생네컷). our 3 days and 2 nights were comfortable and nice. room is smaller than expected but was fine for 3 women. got TV, microwave and water boiler too. room cleaner change the towel and give water which not usual in 가성비 호텔 in korea cz they(from my experience going to 6 hotels in korea) just dont give unless you ask. service point there. overall was nice!"
