"Lotte Resort has the best ocean view sitting on the edge of a cliff on the coast. Located centrally in sokcho, it offers the dining options of town and also the outdoor hiking of Seoraksan just 20 mins drive away. Resort had lots of in house facilities, water park, 7-11 at basement floor. Truly exceeded expectations."

"Great location! I stayed for 3 nights. It’s clean but they made a cleaning service only on 3rd day. On 2nd day, they just changed the trash can. It’s their rule. Good view! Luggage storage also available, so everything is okay. But I didn’t see other daily support like small lotion pack, toothpaste like other hotels provide. There’s only 2 tea packs and 2 coffee brew packs and 2 water bottles. But they gave 2 one time used indoor slippers."

"Ramada boasts truly stunning ocean views. The location is superb, ideal for a leisurely stroll after a meal. We decided to have breakfast on our last day and were pleased to find they've added pho (rice noodles) to the menu. My mother, who had been craving something warm since morning, absolutely loved it and ate it all up."

"This was a very pleasant place to stay before and after a hike in Seoraksan National Park. Lovely view from the balcony. Very clean and comfortable, and helpful staff! Very convenient location. The local bus to the national park is right across the street from the hotel, and the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the express bus terminal. I was pleasantly surprised by a washing machine in the room, which was great to clean my muddy clothes after my hike (you'll need your own laundry detergent). The room had a kitchenette with sink, hot plate, and full-size refrigerator and freezer. The only problem is there was no pot or pan to use on the hot plate, so I could not actually use it to warm my food (unless I would travel with my own pot)! It would be nice if the room provided a hair dryer and if the hotel had some breakfast option. The cafe downstairs offers only drinks, not food, and doesn't open until 11 a.m. The entryway light is motion activated, and there are many electronic buttons and panels around the room that emit light, so if you are sensitive to light while sleeping, you will have to cover your eyes with a sleep mask. Also note that it you close the sliding door between the bed and living area while the air conditioning is on, it will prevent the cold air from reaching the part of the room where the thermostat is located, so the air conditioner will remain on indefinitely, and the sleeping area will get very cold. The various panels for lights and temperature were a bit difficult to understand. English labels would be helpful. But the receptionist was helpful and came up to my room to show me how to use the air conditioning. The USB port on the nightstand worked some of the time and sometimes it didn't. I couldn't figure out if there was a switch or setting somewhere in the room to make it work, or if it was just malfunctioning."

"Our stay at this hotel has been pleasant overall, but we did encounter two problems, 1. When we entered our room we found out that the AC was not working properly, we gave it some time and it still didn’t work so we contacted the receptionist, which sent us a technician to solve our problem but his only solution was to wait, and even when we told him that we have been in the room for two hours already, he insisted we need to wait (he did not understand English so the conversation was really hard to get through), so after waiting another hour we contacted the receptionist again and this time transferred us to another room which had good AC so this problem was solved. 2. The breakfast was really really bad, and the only real source of protein it had was pork in 4 different ways, and scrambled egg which we really didn’t like at all, and also the only choice of coffee in the breakfast is milk with “coffee syrup”(???) which is super inappropriate. Overall I would recommend to stay in this hotel and just not take the breakfast."

"Excellent location (I mean EXCELLENT) as it's 5 min away from the entrance of the park. It is easy to get to by bus no 7/7-1 and by taxi. The hotel looks a bit old from the outside but it is tastefully decorated on the inside and they keep very well in line with the English theme. The rooms are clean and spacious, with very nice views. They have a nice space to put things away and a small fridge. Our shower unfortunately wasn't sealed from the shower door so we ended up with water in the whole bathroom (difficult to control with a 6'4 partner). It has in house laundry and a small grocery shop that saved us one day it was raining too much to head back to the restaurant area. Really recommend if you're visiting the park (or Sokcho as it's also 15-20 min away by bus). Very friendly staff."

"Appeared to be newly renovated. The rooms were spacious, had a small equipped kitchen, and great a/c. No conditioner for hair and only three hand towels in the bathroom. But really amazing value for the price, esp for families for small kids. There’s a kid zone in the hotel with arcade and fun games and of course water park next door. Starbucks and GS25 in hotel too."

"Perfect stay! The room had a wonderful view of the ocean and coast, we took many nice pictures. The hotel is literally in front of the SokchoEye, perfect to relax after a long drive! The room was spacious, we had a tiny kitchen which was extremely appreciated! Easy parking. The self check-in and self check-out were the cherry on top 🥰 I’ll definitely stay here again in the future!"

"Hotel with good amenities and at a nice location. We did have an issue in our room in building B, which had too much noise (from the heating system maybe?), and the staff changed our room without hesitation to another one that was great in building D. Very friendly staff."
