"We ended up in Shymkent unexpectedly after our flight from Thailand via the UAE was canceled, forcing us to quickly find other ways to get home. Our layover in Shymkent was only 19 hours, but we immediately decided to book the best hotel in the city. This particular hotel caught our eye because of its location, breakfast, and the cozy-looking rooms in the photos. We arrived at the hotel around 1 PM and were checked in right away. And we were so happy that the photos matched reality! The rooms are cozy, the linen is clean, and the bed is incredibly comfortable... it was such a pleasure to rest on it after a long flight. We informed the reception that we would be checking out around 2:00-2:30 AM, and they prepared amazing lunch boxes for us. Each box contained (a boiled egg, various types of sausages, two types of cheese, omelet pieces, yogurt, cookies, mini muffins, white bread croutons, sauces), which was a really nice touch. The lunch boxes were a lifesaver on our journey! Now, if we ever pass through Shymkent again, it will only be this hotel!"

"It is possible to rent all towels, shower caps, bathrobes and sandals (in lockers) for the pool, spa, Turkish bath and sauna in the basement. Floor heating is provided in autumn and winter. Since almost only men are in the mixed bath (it is said that they also stop by membership), it is recommended that women jump in at 8 o'clock in the morning. If you apply cream on your face and hair, cover your entire body with a towel, and then lie down in the Turkish bath, it will take about 3 hours and only a few seconds to get a moist shine."

After staying there, all I can say is: I made the right choice! 👍 The bright and modern design of the lobby immediately impressed me as soon as I got out of the car. The warm-toned stone combined with simple soft furnishings completely avoided the oppressive feeling of traditional hotels. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and checked me in super quickly, even offering the signature warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie 🍪. The aroma of chocolate mixed with butter instantly melted away most of my long flight fatigue~ I booked a standard room, and the space was a delightful surprise. At over 30 square meters, I could easily maneuver even with a 28-inch suitcase. The bedding had just the right firmness, allowing me to sleep deeply until morning 💤. The bathroom amenities were of Hilton's consistent quality; the hot water came out quickly, and the water pressure was as steady as a massage. Taking a bath after a day out always left me feeling refreshed! The facilities were also a big plus 🏊: The pool was clean and sparkling, having just opened the day before I arrived (remember it closes on the last weekend of every month, so don't make a wasted trip!). The fitness center had a full range of equipment, and a 30-minute run in the morning left me feeling light. The parking lot was huge, so self-drivers don't have to worry about finding a spot. The airport shuttle bus dropped me right at the entrance, making transportation incredibly convenient ✅. The breakfast variety was so rich it made it hard to choose! The freshly made omelets were so tender they practically oozed juice. There were also local specialties like tandoor bread with yogurt, and the fresh-cut fruit, with its intense aroma, varied daily. Even the coffee was freshly ground, ensuring a great start to a day full of energy ☕. Its location is truly exceptional 🚶: Within walking distance to the Central Park in the city center, and only a 10-minute taxi ride to the ancient city ruins. The surrounding commercial area offers convenient dining and shopping options, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Compared to other hotels in Central Asia at the same price point, the value for money here is truly unbeatable. The service is attentive without being overbearing, and every detail is well thought out. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Shymkent! "What I liked most was that the hotel isn't run-down, and the cleanliness was a 10/10. If you're not staying long, 4 square meters will seem perfectly fine. Free tea and sugar are a nice bonus. It's a bit far from the airport, but taxis in Kazakhstan are inexpensive. The only minor issue was the slippers provided by the hotel, which aligns with local culture. However, if they're going to provide them, they should be new or disposable. I had the feeling many people had worn them before me. Overall, for one night at that price, I'd rate it 5 with a minus."

"We were just passing through for one night. The hotel is gorgeous, and the service is excellent. They let us check in early (we had just gotten off a flight and were exhausted). The room is spacious, has everything you need, and is very clean. There are towels, bathrobes, slippers, all the toiletries, and even a toothbrush and toothpaste. The bed is huge and quite firm. We had a fantastic night's sleep. We couldn't make it to breakfast in the morning, so they brought it to our room early (we requested it at 5 AM) completely free of charge. A huge thank you for their promptness and care! I really liked the hotel. By the way, it's located on a street with many currency exchange offices, about a 10-15 minute walk away. There are also cafes and restaurants nearby."

"The room was spacious. Staff were okay and accommodating most of the time. We had problems with the room temperature being too hot and the only solution given was ”open the window.” However, it did become better the next day. Breakfast could be better."
