"Got problem with toilet overflow and hotel managed to resolve. They throw away the toothbrush after room keeping, just feels that it's a bit wasted, can keep for 2nd night usage. Should not flip the sandal on top of each other after room keeping as the dirty bottom is on the wearing surface. Simple breakfast, not many choices. Room price is rather high. Like the staff who was helpful to carry my stuff to room upon check in."

"Well service standard excellent I'm very happy..
With the check in process very quick.. The room was nice and cozy, the bed was so comfortable even the shower was great.. With very good & strong water pressure.. Very pleased with almost everything except for the breakfast a little bit disappointed & most of the food serve not much verity & strangely cold with most of the food warmer not working or switch off.. Well anyway I had a pleasant stay.. Thank you very much.. The Jerai Hotel.. Alor Star.. Keep up the good work 👍💪"

"The hotel was okay, but the toilet flushed very poorly. The water pressure in the shower was weak. The bedding didn't seem fresh, so we asked for the sheets and pillowcases to be changed, and they did it. There's a pool at the hotel, but it was full of kids (maybe a sports group), all wearing swim caps. We decided not to swim with them."

I had a pleasant stay at AST Hotel Alor Setar. The room was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable and stress-free. Everything felt neat and tidy upon arrival, and the overall environment was nice.
One thing to note is that there is no lift available, which might be inconvenient for some guests. However, you can request a ground floor room from the staff, and they are helpful in accommodating when possible.
Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a clean and simple place to stay in Alor Setar.

小李飞蕉I chose this hotel because the rooms are quite spacious and there's ample parking. The only minor inconvenience is that if you're coming and going during school dismissal times, you'll need a little extra patience. The front desk service was also very good; every time we passed by, we'd exchange glances and get a big smile 😊

Guest UserThis is a wonderful place to stay in Alor Setar. I used to work here for two years and know some of the other options. For families, this is definitively the best place: The kids loved the infinity pool and the playground on the rooftop. While the kids were playing, we could relax and enjoy the sunset - at roughly the same height as Alor Setar Tower! That alone makes it worth to stay there :).
The apartment is big, with four beds, a washing machine and a huge TV. But contrary to other apartments, this one also has a reception that is really helpful.
We will definitively stay here again next time!

vv微微一笑I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and the bedding was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. Overall, my experience far exceeded expectations. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit and highly recommend it to my friends!

The rooms are abit cramp just the size of a queen bed but the toilet is big enough. The Aircon works well.Just that no lift to upper floors. So 1 room at ground floor n 1 upstairs. At night it is quiet noisy as the lorry n trucks came to park nearby. This hotel looks new. The reception is friendly n informative. Nicely to stay for the price. Value for money. Simple setting

Elwin YapA front desk staff member should be able to understand the customer’s needs and follow clear instructions. On that day, I had three bookings. I specifically informed the staff to prioritize my first VIP guest, who is elderly and required immediate access to the room. However, the staff chose to process all the bookings slowly one by one instead of following the instruction given. As a result, my elderly guest had to wait unnecessarily for a long time.
In addition, when I entered my own room, I found that the toilet was not properly cleaned and there was hair inside. This was quite disappointing and does not reflect the expected standard of cleanliness.
I hope the management can look into this matter and improve the service and housekeeping standards.

BH4AWKThe hotel is in the city center with plenty of parking. The rooms are medium to large in size. Within 500 meters, there are many dining options and a landmark shopping mall. The front desk service was excellent, with very friendly smiles. I recommend improving cleanliness and pest control, especially for cockroaches.
