"An excellent hotel with a historic ambiance. The room was very cozy with cool windows. The bed was good. The hot water and air conditioning worked. The hotel was quiet both day and night. The breakfast was quite adequate for the price. The location is good, close to all the interesting sights but set back from the road, so there was no street noise. The staff was friendly. The grounds are also pleasant, albeit small. I didn't notice any downsides. Some rooms have windows overlooking a shared balcony, so if that's important to you, be careful what you book. The hotel and room fully met my expectations."

"Just like everyone says, Nagarkot truly is the perfect little escape from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Even during the monsoon season, the mountain views and fresh air were incredible. At 7 AM, it was often misty and cloudy, but then the sun would pop out intermittently in the afternoon. The rain mostly fell at night, which was great for cooling things down – coming here to escape the summer heat felt like amazing value for money! We stayed for three days. We almost canceled our trip before coming because when we called the front desk, they said they hadn't seen snow-capped mountains for the past month. But to our surprise, we suddenly saw them on the afternoon of the second day! My parents were absolutely thrilled. The room was clean, and the 1080P TV had Netflix and YouTube. The restaurant was also great! The menu had just been updated (talk about lucky, right?), with a variety of international dishes, so our 'Chinese stomachs' had no problem finding delicious food. The staff were all young and energetic; they occasionally made small mistakes, but they were incredibly attentive and took great care of us. On our last morning, at 8 AM, I attended a sound healing session. This was my fourth time experiencing it, but the therapist at Soaltee surprised me once again – their storytelling and atmosphere creation were so powerful, truly taking us on an amazing journey. And I absolutely have to mention the jacuzzi! We came during the monsoon, on weekdays, and in the off-season, so we often had it all to ourselves. Soaking in the hot water while looking out at the distant mountains and greenery was truly sublime! My mom is usually very picky about holiday destinations. Before the trip, I was worried she'd find Nepal too underdeveloped. But this time, she actually took the initiative to recommend Nepal and Soaltee to her best friends! So, a huge thank you to Soaltee for making my parents' trip to Nepal anything but a wash-out, haha. P.S. I heard Nagarkot has many great hiking trails, but with parents in their 60s, we didn't bother. We stayed at the hotel for three days and would go for a stroll every afternoon. About 20 minutes from the hotel, you can walk through nearby villages. My dad even bought a free-range chicken from a local family and had it braised and boiled at a guesthouse in town!"

"This is a fabulous hotel! It is within 5 minutes walking distance to the famous world heritage site Durbar square. The hotel was beyond my expectations, the traditional design and elaborate wood carvings throughout the hotel make it very special. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. The local handmade amenities in the room were made with natural ingredients and were a treat. All my meals were excellent and the hotel has an extensive menu. The staff were so attentive and helpful. The real highlight was getting to know the owners Ranjit and Anar. Their hospitality and warmth made me feel so welcome. I will definitely stay here again."

"They are in a location where its very difficult to return from, unless you use their service of 4500npr to at least to return to main kathmandu for 2pax. with their pricing, and the guests count they usually have, they can easily afford a regular shuttle bus or transport, that they can provide which pick/drop visitors to a certain main location on Kathmandu. otherwise all good"

"I don’t have much choice in the economical model. The service was pretty good. I had rhinitis on the first day. I asked the front desk how to get to the pharmacy, and they took me there directly. Basically, if you ask any questions, he will answer them patiently. But maybe my Chinese is not very good Very good location There is an ordering service, and the price is about the same as the restaurants in the square outside. There is a restaurant at the intersection next to the Shiva Temple with relatively affordable prices. The fried noodles are 100 rupees plain, 120 rupees with beef, 140 rupees with chicken, and 180 rupees mixed. You may have to tell them separately about the cleaning of the guest room. I stayed for three days and it was not cleaned for three days."

"This place is such a gem. Take slightly more than an hour direct from the Kathmandu airport. The views from the hotel is breathtaking. The room was clean and big enough for 2 pax. I like the balcony where i could just sit to take in the views and gaze at the stars at night. Bathroom was impeccably clean and the towels are really good. I participated in their morning hike organized by the hotel. The 1 hour i wished would lasted longer. We got a glimpse of the life around Nagarkot with amazing vistas. I must commend all the staffs at the hotel. Top notch service from everyone. With smile and very friendly. Special mention of Binod who has been very attentive in his service."

"Best luxury hotel in Nagarkot. Booked this hotel to celebrate my husband birthday and after our EBC Trek. We stayed 3 nights and spent our time resting in the room, watching Netflix. The room was so cozy. Bed was comfy. The hot water jacuzzi was god sent. After using the jacuzzi for 20 mins, the body felt so relaxed. I also went for their trekker massage and Gold facial. It was the best experience ever. Hot water heater works perfectly well. Breakfast was well spread with Asian and Indian fusion cruisine. The ala carte menus was god sent with so many varieties of snacks, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, different varieties of cruisine from Asian, western. You name it, they have it. And room services can be done via online. Even guest can schedule their room cleaning services via online. Booking of massage/ facial are done via online too. Every morning, I catch the sunset at our balcony. It was so magically beautiful. Highly recommended hotel!!"

"It's right in front of Durbar Square. Viewing the square from the rooftop is a very enjoyable and irreplaceable experience. There are only about 8 rooms, which are spacious enough for 2 people. It's an ideal base for accessing the city, and you can fully enjoy Paktapuru by staying here for one night, away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu."

"The location is good, walking distance to Badgang Square and several other squares. I chose a heritage hotel specifically because I like the quaint and historical decoration style. It should be a solar water heater. It takes a while for the hot water to come out, but the water temperature is still satisfactory. I stayed for two nights and enjoyed two breakfasts. One was a buffet breakfast. There were not many varieties, but a few but fine ones, including both Western and local Nepali flavors. On the other day, because there were fewer guests, we had a breakfast set, which was local Nepali style. It included several kinds of dairy products, all of which were cold, such as yogurt and thin yogurt with water. It made my stomach feel a little uncomfortable. , quickly asked for hot water."
