"The service was excellent. We had golf cart transfers for both check-in and check-out. Even though the hotel is located in the mountains, there's a free daily shuttle to the city center. The breakfast menu changed regularly, and the room was very clean, with essential oils and a fruit platter upon arrival. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Chiang Mai!"

"A nice hotel hidden from the city. Very close to the Night Safari and Royal Garden. We stayed here twice already and really loved the calm and relaxed atmosphere of the courtyard. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine 😌🍷 very meditative experience. The service is perfect, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The interior is giving old money vibes. Really glad we’ve found this place!"

"Our two-night, three-day trip was a leisurely stroll through Hang Dong. The hotel is built by the lake, and as soon as you enter, you're greeted by a variety of tropical trees – a delight for any plant lover! The environment is fantastic, perfect for relaxing, enjoying the rain, or just reading a book. You can sit in the lakeside gazebo for a whole afternoon, and there's even a super well-behaved and affectionate little cat! The owner is Chinese and incredibly warm and hospitable! The hotel offers excellent value for money! Since we checked in around the beginning of autumn, we were even invited to eat dumplings 🥟 – my Chinese stomach was so touched, I almost cried! Conveniently, all the places we wanted to visit, like Elephant Coffee, the Night Safari, and the White Temple, are on the same mountain road as the hotel! You can also wander around the woodcarving village! (If you have trouble finding a taxi in Hang Dong, you can call the owner for help! The price is fair 👍"

"The accommodation is as advertised. Inside the room there is air conditioning, a queen-size bed, a work desk, a very comfortable chair, a wardrobe with lots of hangers, a TV, a water heater, tea, coffee, a hair dryer, towels, face towels, 2 bottles of water. The atmosphere is very good. At night it is very cold and freezing. If you are someone who is sensitive to the cold, you should bring a blanket. In the morning the sun will shine into the room, but there are curtains to block the light completely. Outside there is a balcony to sit and enjoy the view, a garden view, with beach chairs in front of the house. Here they have breakfast, not a lot but a variety."

"I never review hotels, but this time I absolutely have to. When I checked in, the front desk staff were so warm and full of smiles. The room itself was super clean, and being a forest-themed room, there were practically no bugs. I was very satisfied with my stay. I even extended for another day. One morning, as I was heading out, someone on the road told me that I had extended my stay and was still in the same room. It felt like everyone there knew each guest's situation – so heartwarming! Another evening, I went out to eat at a restaurant outside the hotel and left my bag there. Later, when I was walking back to the hotel, a hotel staff member came directly to me on the street and handed me my bag. It was truly incredible how they knew someone had returned to the hotel, which guest it was, which room they were in, and that the bag belonged to that guest from that room. Their service and efficiency are incredibly precise. Next time I come to Chiang Mai, I'll bring my friends to stay at this hotel. This is the only hotel I recommend!"

"A fantastic lodge hotel, set in peaceful tranquil surroundings on the hillside off the main road of the Mae Rim-Sameong Loop. The staff were fantastic and helpful, helping to organise transport and a daytrip van with driver, as well as ordering dinner from local restaurants. We used the 3 bed villa and it was perfect for our family, although a TV upgrade so we can use the smart services(Netflix) would be perfect for relaxing in the evening especially with kids, and a microwave to heat the take away meals ordered. The grounds and gardens are delightful, as are the big glass windows in the bedrooms which look out onto the gardens. The breakfast was amazing. Freshly cooked and delicious, made to order at a chosen time, so a lie in doesn't affect getting a decent breakfast like it does in buffet hotels. The one thing that would make this hotel perfect and probably 5 star, would be a lovely swimming pool."

"Very quiet location, stunning mountain views, large rooms with high ceilings, a nice balcony with small private jacuzzi. Not many guests around. Very nice views from the main pool / restaurant which also has a good food and drink menu. You can rent a motorbike although it is quite expensive at 450 baht per day and I had to ask for a helmet. I highly recommend that you stay at this great hotel for either a short or long stay - I stayed for 6 days and wasn't bored at all. Whether you want to explore the surrounding area or relax with a book or movie on the balcony, it is suitable for singles, couples or families. Cons No safety deposit box in the room. The room was cleaned just 2 times in 6 days and I had to keep asking for cleaning and consumables (water, tissue, shower soaps etc). The staff were good but it seems like the hotel isn't efficient - dishes left out at breakfast are still on tables several hours later even though the hotel is not busy. Breakfast is repetitive and minimal but okay - again it wasn't run very efficiently and customers have to keep asking for things like cups, milk, sugar etc. Some of the food was luke warm so not great. There are lots of pillows but they are all the same thickness (too thick for me) so I had to use a smaller one from one of the chairs."

"Interesting resort. The gate is too simple and frugal that we were a bit disappointed when we saw it in the taxi. But when you go through the glass restaurant, you’ll find a new jungle garden world. Good gardening and swimming pool. However the room facilities are a little old, especially the bathroom which should be renovated. Btw there are many funny exploration restaurants, farms and places near the resort."

The hotel is really great - very nice grounds with a pool, cafe and a small animal farm. Everything looks very nice, like I was living in a dollhouse 🥰 The rooms are simple and comfortable, I was very comfortable. The owner and hotel staff are very friendly: when I arrived late, they took me to a nearby cafe and then came back for me. Breakfast was included in the price; I chose the English breakfast - it was quite good. There is a beautiful park nearby, lots of coffee shops and restaurants. My only regret is that I didn't spend much time there. Thank you for your hospitality, will definitely come back again 🫶🏻

This place is very unique suitable for those who want to escape from bustling city. Not suggest to drive after sunset and prefer main road than short cut. Nice view at restaurant. Abf is perfect esp all breads I luv it!!!

It was a quiet place to spend some time away from the town. There is a good Italian restaurant nearby, from which we ordered delivery for dinner. The room had a nice garden space so we wanted to eat in the room.　The bathroom and the garden space are my favorites.I will definitely stay there again.

I stayed in the Chanthra Suite. It was mid-January, so the weather was cool, but the pool water was too cold to stay in for long. They offer complimentary ice baths, but only from 12-1 PM, which means you can't use it if you're staying for just one night. Breakfast was average, but it was quiet as there weren't many guests. The location isn't downtown, so it's perfect for those who want to relax in nature and avoid the city. The room and bed were large, and the balcony view was beautiful.

Wonderful manager. Recently renovated. Very friendly and welcoming. Very green. Nice wooden carvings on balconies. (It felt peaceful. I didn't mind the occasional airplanes flying overhead.) Location depends on what you are looking for.

Our stay in Chiang Mai was absolutely fantastic! The hotel, LANNA DEER, immediately impressed us with its lush greenery upon entering the grounds. The individual villa design perfectly captures the Northern Thai Lanna style, with white walls and brown windows complemented by tropical plants. The interplay of light and shadow on the walls created an incredible atmosphere. The private balcony in our room was the biggest highlight – sitting there in the morning, sipping hot tea, overlooking the lawn and palm trees, and waking up to the sound of birds, truly felt like a proper vacation. The hotel's infinity pool is also a must-visit; the water is crystal clear, and taking photos by the poolside is simply stunning. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the exquisite and delicious afternoon tea snacks to the complimentary beautiful flower garlands. If you're looking to experience the slow pace of life in Chiang Mai, this place is definitely the perfect choice!

We stayed in the hotel for five nights, we really enjoyed our stay and the kids enjoyed with the hotel facilities it is really nice to have animals in the resort that made my five years son busy all the time.. The location is spacious.. My elder son had good time to train at golf area and the price is affordable.. Big thank to the staff in the lobby and in the restaurant Mr. Neun, Bell and yang sorry I couldn't memorise the names but all of them without exception are welcoming and supportive. I propose to have Halal food in the menu so everyone can enjoy the food.

I rarely leave reviews when traveling with my kids, but this time I just have to share. We booked this hotel as a surprise for a summer camp trip, and honestly, I was a bit nervous since I didn't know anything about it, and we had the little one with us. Turns out, it was an incredibly enjoyable trip! The hotel is just the right size – not too big, so the kids were always within sight and easy to keep track of, without getting too tired. By the end, they were even going to breakfast and the pool by themselves. It’s super clean; the cleaning staff tidied our room daily, and even the vacant rooms next door were cleaned every day. The butler spoke perfect Chinese, making communication a breeze and helping us sort out all our initial questions and concerns. They even helped plan our itinerary and recommended great places to eat and fun activities. The Lanna-style design creates a very peaceful atmosphere – perfect for sipping coffee in the morning, listening to the birds, and gazing at the rice paddies and flowers. The kitchen stays open until 11 PM, which is really convenient since many outside restaurants close earlier. If you chat with the kitchen staff, they can even whip up some unexpected home-style dishes. As for the price… I personally think it offers excellent value for money. Already looking forward to my next trip and coming back here!

The hotel probably knew better days before COVID, and it is in need of some polishing. At the same time, I had a very pleasant stay: they provide free bicycles, the room is clean, rustic, and atmospheric. There is a road curving around the hotel but at least from where my house was located, I could not really hear any traffic. The village is very local, with great little eateries that serve delicious cheap meals. The Viewpoint in the 6fh floor of the main building indeed has a great view! Lady at the reception can speak a little English, and she helped me to arrange a taxi to the airport.

Loved the hotel! It's like a large garden. The breakfast is also very good. The service is very simple. The waiters are very simple. It is suitable for secluded travel because it is not convenient to go in and out of the mountain. But it is suitable for those who like to stay away from the city.
