"Facilities: The hotel clearly shows its age, giving off a 'dreamcore' vibe. From the lobby to the room design and style, it felt like stepping back into 80s-90s Japan. The facilities are comprehensive, making it very suitable for families. Cleanliness: Very clean, nothing to fault. Environment: Located on an uphill slope, surrounded by residential areas, it's very quiet. You can also see the ocean horizon from the room, which is beautiful. Service: The service is very Japanese and thorough, they try their best to meet your requests. The front desk staff's English is also good, and they explain the hotel's facilities and restaurants in detail. Food: The buffet at the restaurant is quite good. Summary: A very satisfying stay."

"## Ambiance: As a guesthouse, it's absolutely beautiful. The historic house is filled with thoughtful touches from the owners, creating a warm and aesthetically pleasing environment. ## Service: First off, both owners are Chinese, so communication was seamless. The hot water and Jingyang Fucha (dark tea) were incredibly comforting to drink. You can pre-order dinner and breakfast, and the home-cooked flavors were truly soothing for the body and mind, plus the prices were excellent. Additionally, the owner was considerate of guests arriving by public transport; when not busy, they offered free pickup and drop-off at Izu Kogen. However, this isn't possible during meal times or very late/early arrivals/departures, as it's a complimentary extra service. ## Room: The bedding was very comfortable, and it was quiet at night. The shared bathroom and shower facilities were more than adequate. The room wasn't huge, but selecting one based on your needs won't feel cramped. Overall, my stay was very satisfying. I definitely want to come back during cherry blossom season to truly slow down and experience it. Also, when I mentioned wanting to soak, the owner kindly arranged for me to visit a special Izu volcanic mud bath, a local spot where I experienced a traditional Japanese 'onsen' (hot spring bath). It has its unique charm, just like our Northern Chinese bathhouses, though Northern bathhouses definitely have superior facilities and recreational options."

"The hosts were super friendly and welcomed in front of the alley to the hostel. They were kind and answering messages quickly. The hostel is located near the JR station so it was convenient. The neighbourhood is a small town; and not many restaurants or tourist spots located so I enjoyed the quiet night. The restaurants that the hosts recommended were Chuka food restaurant; Taiwan style foods were super cheap and delicious. I was travelling to Ito city but I felt that staying at a hostel one station from Ito Station was an excellent choice. I was heard that people mostly book from Airbnb app, and I am the trip.com user. Hope a lot more people can see this and book this warm welcoming hostel."

"It is locate in the hill, takes about 10min to drive up or down to the nearest 7 11. Check in was easy. Onsen facility is great. Perfect for a couple trip. Kitchen is great, we drove to supermarket that is like 20min away for some grocery to cook at home. Very relax area."

"Underestimate the desolation of Izu Kogen Station. Remember to call ahead to make an appointment to pick up and drop off the hotel. There should be Chinese people who can let Chinese people pick up the phone, but generally there will be no cars at four or five at the latest. If the last bus is more than 6 o'clock I want to call a car in a kiosk. If you can’t speak Japanese, you can only try your luck and wait, especially when there is no car The room is ok. Although the Japanese bed is a bit harder, it is wide and clean."
