This hotel is right next to Sydney Central Station. They mentioned that the building itself is quite old, about a hundred years, and was later converted into a hostel. Given Sydney's sky-high prices, paying over 700 for a single room without a private bathroom is tough. The layout inside is also quite complex; getting from my room to the communal restroom felt like a good hundred-meter walk, which was really inconvenient for night trips. The hostel has a large common area, with the entire second floor dedicated to dining and a communal kitchen, complete with utensils and cooking equipment. There's also a paid laundry area and a conversation space. The hotel's own介绍 [description/brochure] said there were many free tours and activities available, but I didn't join due to the language barrier. The room card was designed with a lanyard, presumably to prevent it from getting lost.

I traveled alone to Sydney. The size of the accommodation is perfect for one or two people, and the atmosphere of the accommodation is very quiet. The atmosphere and environment of the accommodation are something that Koreans will definitely like. If I had to pick one disadvantage, it would be that it is a bit far from the Opera House and Main Street..? However, for those who like to walk, the streets are well-constructed and you can walk while doing aerobic exercise. This is a highly recommended accommodation.

Extremely close to Circular Quay, with a food street nearby and a market on weekends. It's super convenient to walk to Circular Quay, catch the light rail, or take a whale-watching cruise. The rooftop pool offers simultaneous views of both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House from the top floor. Picture one was taken right outside the entrance, and picture two shows the breakfast menu board; breakfast was quite good.

The hotel's location is excellent, just about 100 meters from the Christmas tree and Martin Place. It's also not far from Town Hall, and you can take bus 333 to Bondi Beach. The Sydney Opera House is roughly 1 kilometer away, and you can even spot some seals from here. The hotel is located at 97 Pitt Street. An Uber to the airport would be around 160 RMB, or about 38 AUD, which is more cost-effective than taking Opal Card public transport, especially for two people. For a single traveler, public transport is fine. The double bed in the double room is a bit small, but understandable. Breakfast is included and offers fruits, yogurt, and coffee, but no vegetables. Main dishes include bread, eggs, bacon, and beans. Overall, it's pretty good.

We stayed at the bridge view room, which we could admire the view and the new year fireworks show, it was amazing! The location of the hotel is very convenient where is within walking distance to the bridge and the Opera House. There are quite some good restaurants around the area, the atmosphere was relaxed cum energetic.
The hotel was bright and clean, the staffs were friendly and attentive, what a pleasant stay!

The highlight of our stay was definitely the stunning view from our room and balcony—absolutely amazing. The location couldn’t have been better, with most attractions within walking distance. Watching the Vivid Light Show from the comfort of our balcony was a particularly memorable experience.
However, the room itself was quite dated and in need of refurbishment. The carpet was noticeably worn with dark patches, and parts of the bathroom were peeling. On the plus side, housekeeping did service the room daily, which was appreciated.
One downside was the misleading information about parking. Although the website mentioned parking, there was none available on-site. We had to use Wilson's parking next door, which came at a steep price.
All in all, I’d recommend this hotel for the location and views alone, but be prepared for a room that’s seen better days.

Giving five stars for cleanliness. When we first checked in, the Asian girl at the front desk switched us to a street-facing room. But there was a construction site outside the window, so we insisted on our original courtyard-view room, thinking that getting good rest is the most important thing when traveling. However, I didn't expect this courtyard to even be called a ”view”; it was clearly just an equipment and emergency exit shaft... The hotel is quite old, but fortunately, all the facilities are working properly. The shower function is inadequate, with only one fixed showerhead; the toilet is old but relatively clean. The most unpleasant part was the bedding arrangement: two sheets sandwiching a duvet core. Pulling it out to sleep resulted in a night full of wrinkles and the duvet core shifting around, which was very uncomfortable. Later, I saw on Xiaohongshu that this is standard in Australia? Oh well, never mind... In terms of location, it's close to everything but requires a bit of walking. It should be considered the city's office building CBD, which is not bad.

A very satisfying stay! My luggage was delivered directly to my room. The staff were very welcoming, and the room had a fantastic view, which completely met my expectations. I ordered room service for dinner and was very happy with it – delicious and not overpriced. Excellent! The biggest surprise was the heated pizza; it was beautifully presented and brought to the room. Worth every penny!

Had a really satisfying stay in Sydney this time. The hotel is surrounded by eateries, and Chinatown is just a 2-3 minute walk away. It's right in the city center, super close to the light rail, bus, and train, so getting around is incredibly convenient. The hotel staff also deserve a shout-out, especially Matthew! He checked us in on the first day and was incredibly professional and patient. 😊

Amazing
TTTWWSWow, what can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing from the service from the Geo with a warm welcome and our luggage taken away from us at the door to the personalised service that we received at check-in. Walking in the rooms are simply amazing being so elegantly furnished and so clean and spacious. The bathroom had all the amenities you could even imagine and you could easily get stuff and order through the iPad. Their indoor pool and Jim is simply amazing and includes a spa with massage function and there’s also a specialty shower room and sauna room. The breakfast buffet was also a very high standard and you can order à la carte items which were very delicious. There was also a lounge room which is similar to an executive lounge open to all hotel gas and (Office) complimentary tea and alcohol drinks too. I’m definitely return to stay at this hotel and it is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, Capella Sydney.
SSean_mendesSydney Central YHA was an excellent choice for my solo backpacking leg in Sydney after Melbourne. Right next to Central Station and light rail, it's unbeatable for airport trains, quick trips to the Opera House, Bondi Beach, or Chinatown eats—perfect for a student on the move.
Private rooms (or dorms with privacy curtains) were clean, comfy with outlets per bed, and secure lockers (bring padlock). Rooftop pool offered city views for evening swims, plus a massive kitchen, cinema room, and social BBQs—great vibe without chaos. Friendly staff gave spot-on tips; minor cons like occasional bathroom queues or street noise didn't detract. Super value at ~$40/night—9.5/10, will return!
AAnonymous UserWe stayed in a spacious one-bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was a lifesaver, especially since it rained non-stop during our week in Sydney. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and all the essential cookware and dinnerware. A large supermarket is conveniently located just across the road, making it perfect for cooking up elaborate meals in the room on rainy days when you don't feel like going out. Transport links are excellent; it's very close to the airport with direct bus and train services to both the airport and city center.
JJunjunAn incredibly satisfying trip! What might appear ordinary at first glance reveals exceptional service in every detail. All the facilities are brand new, and the location is incredibly convenient. There's a large playground right downstairs, and a plethora of dining options. The Maritime Museum and Aquarium are just 500 meters away, making boat trips easy and enjoyable. I booked a two-bedroom suite with a living room and an extra bed, which was perfect for our family of five. It came with a microwave, cutlery, pots, and a washing machine. Towels were changed daily, and housekeeping was impeccable. Highly recommend! I'll definitely stay here again next time. Just a heads-up: the 'W' pool on the top floor is actually outdoors and only open until 5 PM, so it might not be ideal if the weather is cool. For kids, it's probably better to use the indoor pool on the 22nd floor.
Ccxssxlynnamazing almost unbeatable facilities! fully equipped unit which really helped us save lots of money by cooking. washer, coffee machine, induction stoves, pots and pans, kettle, dishwasher, microwave, chopping board and knives, cutlery/utensils, fridge with freezer, chiller and veg compartments. they even provide dishwashing powder and laundry powder. smart TV was great as well, beds were comfy. service was super friendly and helpful as well. they even have a pilates studio and a gym in this hotel. we had the best stay in this spacious room and we’ll definitely be back if we ever visit australia again!
GGuest UserAbsolutely comfortable and nice room, and there’s some free water soaked with fresh fruit in the grand design lobby just in the entrance area which is good👍🏽
And it takes 10mins walk to Central Station and quite convenient to go to many spots in Sydney Center
Ggu****The hotel's location is excellent. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk, you can reach Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Square, Darling Harbour, and Central Station. The room size was adequate, and it was clean and tidy upon arrival, with daily housekeeping being prompt and thorough. The front desk service was also on point.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks:
1. The lighting in the lobby area isn't great; it's generally too dim and looks like it needs a refurbishment. Hopefully, they'll update it soon.
2. We believe our room was in the newer extension of the hotel. There's a noticeable difference in floor levels between the two buildings, and the connection between them is entirely stairs, which is really inconvenient when you have luggage. This also needs an update.
3. The flooring under the carpet in our room was bulging in places and requires maintenance.
GGuest UserExcellent location right in the city. The staff were fantastic. When I left behind a very expensive tea pot they did not hesitate to store it for it me, when I decided to have it posted to my address, they organized everything! It arrived safely and was pacakged professionally in a way that meant it was never going to be broken.
GGuest UserOK for one night.
The hotel is above the pub, which is also very busy in the afternoon.
There is also live music there on Sundays until around 9 p.m.
Everything is perfectly fine, unless you have room 10 next to the washing machine/dryer and sleep next to the ventilation. Even though drying and washing is not allowed after 9 p.m., it was very annoying.
The hotel rooms face the back, so in the morning you also have the noise from the loading area of the supermarket.
On the positive side, the room was in a modern condition and the staff were all very nice.
The beach is a ten-minute walk away.
GGuest UserWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
