Outstanding
EElsa Hsu2050The facilities of this homestay are very good. We bought the ingredients and cooked dinner here. Looking at the snowy mountains outside, we spent a great night together. The host is very friendly and is the first choice for family travel!
GGuest UserThe English of the lobby staff was mediocre, and the restaurant waiter didn't know much about French wine, even serving French white wine in a sake cup 😅. However, they were genuinely dedicated to serving guests 💕. There's a definite need for more training for the restaurant staff, especially regarding sommelier services.
GGuest Userit was an excellent service from the host, fluent in english and he even pick us up and drove us to the station. the villa gave us a magical experience, everything was top notch. and also important thing is the location, if you plan to go to iwatake snowpeaks then komakusa villa is the best place to stay, just 1 minute walk and you can see the gondola from the room. thankyou yutaka fukushima
GGuest UserService was in general good. Most staff can speak English and were very helpful. We booked their teppanyaki restaurant but due to a member being sick, we cancelled it one day ahead. However, we were then being told that there is a 50% charge which was not explained to us when we made the booking. After some back and forth, they finally agreed to waive it. Appreciated that but it was a hassle. The apartment is nice and juices and water were included in the fridge. There's no onsen nor swimming pool nor a gym in the hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of varieties. Location is excellent within walking distance to the Main Street in Echoland where most restaurants are. Hotel provides shuttle buses to Happo One and Hakuba 47.
GGuest UserThis trip to White Horse stayed in three hotels, run by Japanese, and European and American. This home is the most satisfying.
First of all, the hotel chosen by the Japanese in Hakuba must be better than the Europeans. No matter the cleanliness of the hotel or the enthusiasm of the boss.
This old Japanese couple has been running a homestay for over 30 years.
At first glance, the boss has accumulated many years. The homestay occupies two single-family villas, and the boss owns a bus! The two of us sat on the exclusive bus to enjoy the pick-up and drop-off service. My chin was frightened. I never came to Baima to see the hotel's own bus.
The location is great. Five minutes walk from base camp, one of Hakuba's core bus stops. If you go to Wuxi 47, it will be more convenient.
Besides the room. It is very large and has its own separate toilet (including bathroom), which is not available in many Japanese-style hotels. The only shortcoming of the room was the two of us, but there were only two single beds and no large bed. A new family room was given to us when I checked in. It was also three single beds, so maybe there is no double room?
The room we booked did not include meals. The breakfast was 600 yen per person. We thought it was not expensive and we tried it. Em, there was only one slice of toast and unlimited coffee milk cereal, which was too monotonous and not worth trying. It is better to go out a few hundred meters to buy breakfast near base camp.
Finally the owner is very enthusiastic (this is the advantage of all Japanese homestays). There are local apples for sale at the front desk. The price of 100 is a conscience. I stayed for 3 nights and ate 5 apples. It was very sweet.
RRaeMeteor Garden is located conveniently 5-7min drive from main Hakuba Village. One thing to note is that the main cafe in the stay is not open so need to find other dining alternatives. Rooms and amenities are clean and well maintained, the one issue is that it’s not well marked on Google map as it keeps pointing to the restaurant which was not opened and gave us a false alarm. Wifi is not the fastest and does not handle multiple devices that well especially when you are trying to work. There was some confusion when booked via Trip as the contact information was somehow truncated so hotel was unable to contact me without going through Trip thus messages were delayed. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and everyone had a great time…
SSasinatAn older-style hotel, but very clean. It has separate onsens for men and women. Breakfast is served as individual sets. The hotel also has a dinner restaurant, which is convenient because going out to eat without a car isn't easy. The futon-style bedding was comfortable and warm. The bathroom was a bit small. It snowed while I was there, and it was beautiful because the hotel is located in the mountains.
BBupitudelvxingrijiFacilities: Youth hotel type, there are many beer options on the first floor (recommended friends who like beer to come
Hygienic: relatively clean
Environment: You can see snowy mountains, snow roads, skiers recommend
Service: Someone is after 2 o'clock, pay attention to the time
GGuest UserThe accommodation was clean, and the staff were polite and attentive. You need to bring your own toiletries. The view from the accommodation is beautiful, situated among the mountains, like a summer camp abroad. The bungalows were very comfortable and cozy.
GGuest UserIdeal location. The rooms in the main building have bathrooms. The rooms are large. The view outside the window is beautiful. There is wifi. Parking is convenient. However, the drying room does not have much drying effect. The room has heating. The hotel is actually very good in all aspects. High cost performance. You can choose to add some small purse breakfast. Because I went skiing early in the morning, I had to add it. It is a Japanese breakfast. Don't expect too much in style.
