I have stayed in many guesthouses across China, but this one stands out in a very special way. From the very first moment, the communication via WeChat was friendly, quick, and reliable – even though my Chinese is limited and the staff’s English is not extensive. Still, everything worked beautifully. Warm, patient, uncomplicated. It already gives you the feeling that you are in good hands.
I stayed for two days, and throughout my entire time there, everything was perfectly organized. I was picked up right on time upon arrival – an invaluable service in a mountain area that can be a little confusing for newcomers. The guesthouse itself is extremely comfortable: warm, well-designed rooms with excellent facilities, a huge screen, electric curtains, cozy bedding, and all the small details that make travel easier. I immediately felt welcomed and well taken care of.
During my stay, the staff assisted me with everything I needed, always with kindness and without any complications. When it was time to leave, they also arranged transport back to my bus at exactly the time I requested. Truly flawless service.
But the most extraordinary highlight was something I did not expect at all: the free guided tour that the homestay organizes for all their guests. They drove us to the starting point, and then we spent the day walking through the misty mountain paths, visiting nine of the most important temples on Jiuhuashan. It was magical – quiet, mysterious, deeply atmospheric. Our guide took wonderful care of everyone, explained so much about the temples, the mountain, the history, and the spirit of Dizang Bodhisattva, and created a sense of depth that went far beyond sightseeing.
This was not a tourist activity.
It was a spiritual and cultural experience – something you can only receive from people who truly love their mountain and want to share it with others. In the fog, among ancient stones, incense smoke, and the sound of footsteps on wet leaves, one begins to understand why Jiuhuashan has been a sacred place for centuries.
My conclusion:
This homestay offers not only comfort, warmth, and excellent service, but also a genuine connection to the spiritual heart of Jiuhuashan. I can recommend Tanxiangyuan Homestay without any hesitation. For pilgrims, travelers, lovers of nature, or anyone seeking a meaningful experience, this place is simply perfect. I am grateful for every moment I spent there.

GGuest UserThe misty rain was on Jiuhua Mountain, the air was humid and cold, but I couldn't feel it at all when I entered the house. The reception girl and the aunt were very warm. They warmly opened the floor heating in the room in advance. The room was warm and comfortable. The quilt was dry and tidy and smelled very clean. Because I took the elderly, I lived for two days, most of the time I ate in the store. The kitchen was very clean and tasted good. It was no different from the outside restaurant. I also warmly helped us leave the chicken soup that was not finished to the evening. I used to come to Jiuhuashan every year, this time I lived the most comfortable time. I should still choose here next time, I hope to keep it in shape, and I have been so good [rose]

GGuest UserGreat location, near the cable car station and easy access to the old street and other temples nearby. The owner family and staff were right on the spot to solve any queries you may have including our special request to book private transport direct to the Jiuhuashan town up in the mountain site. Breakfast was nice and we liked the special Zen design of the hotel and thoughtful cultural elements that were weaved in. There is a lovely tea and sutra writing room which became a restful spot of our stay there. My spouse and I look forward to staying there again when we plan our future trip to Jiuhuashan. We didn't encounter any cigarette smell as we requested a non-smoking room and the overall Zen environment enhanced our cherished Buddhist pilgrimage trip.

HHeshanyanA spontaneous trip! We booked our accommodation in advance on Ctrip, with a preference for staying on the mountain. Jiuhua Maoju came highly recommended online, and it's conveniently located very close to Jiuhua Old Street.
We pre-purchased our entrance tickets and mountain shuttle bus tickets at the Jiuhua Tourist Center. After getting off at Yingxian Bridge, we walked into the scenic area. We had already communicated with the hotel via WeChat, and they arranged to pick us up from the entrance of Julong Hotel, which was very convenient.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we proceeded to the front desk to check in. While checking in, there was a furry little 'employee' (a hotel pet) napping peacefully under the desk – so well-behaved! After completing the check-in process, the staff thoughtfully assisted us by bringing our luggage to our room.
Our room was exceptionally clean and fully equipped with all amenities. We were extremely satisfied. If you're a first-time visitor to Mount Jiuhua and plan to stay on the mountain, just like us, I truly believe you can trust my recommendation!

There are two important bus stops on Jiuhua Mountain: Yingxianqiao Station, the final stop for buses from the tourist service center at the foot of the mountain, and Huxingshan Bus Station, the starting and ending point for the circular bus service around the mountain. Ruyi B&B is very close to both stations. Many popular restaurants, supermarkets, fruit shops, and pharmacies are also nearby, making it very convenient. The B&B is newly renovated and clean. The owners are warm and friendly, and always accommodating.

AAnonymous UserI chose the family room at Yuanhang Hotel based on Ctrip reviews and its proximity to the Cultural Park. The room itself was decent.
However, the hotel seemed to have very few guests, resulting in no air conditioning in common areas like the lobby and corridors. It was sweltering hot the moment you stepped out of your room. Additionally, our room was quite a distance from the elevator, and we'd be drenched in sweat just walking there.
While I can understand conserving electricity due to low occupancy, the entire hotel felt deserted. Breakfast was also very subpar, with one of the salted duck eggs even being spoiled.
The only redeeming quality was the Chinese restaurant, which offered good food and generous portions.
Despite the staff being very friendly, the overall state of the hotel's facilities severely impacted our stay, making for an unpleasant experience.
I had initially hoped to walk to the Cultural Park, but it was too hot, so we ended up taking a taxi for a flat rate of 10 RMB. This effectively negated the benefit of the hotel's location for walking.
I believe this hotel might be more suitable for guests visiting Mount Jiuhua who prioritize being close to the visitor center.

AAnonymous UserA very new B&B with an excellent location. Opposite is the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva statue with a huge energy field. Compared with the noise on the mountain, the small courtyard is clean and comfortable. You can pay tribute to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva from the balcony of the room, which is very special. The B&B is clean and tidy, and the rooms are equipped with a whole-house smart system, which is very convenient. The owner and his wife are very nice and will give some travel tips. There is free pick-up and drop-off at the gates of the cultural park and scenic spots. It takes 5-8 minutes to walk to the Cultural Park. There are many good hotels at the west gate of the Cultural Park. It is a 3-minute drive from the tourist center. It takes about 20 minutes for the tourist bus to go up the mountain to Yingxian Bridge, and about 40 minutes to the Jiuhuashan High-speed Railway and the airport. The location is excellent.

You can drive to the Dayuan Cultural Park to pick me up. Send me to the Huatai cableway on the third morning. Jiuhua Mountain Bus is convenient to take, do not have to queue up at the visitor center, you can get on the bus at the door of the house.
