BbaraoGuild**”BAD: Beware of the 'Upgrade'”**
Our priority when booking was the room size and budget, so we reserved a 32m² City View room.
At check-in, the hotel staff offered us an ”upgrade.” He said that for an additional €25 per day, we could ”upgrade,” so we agreed.
However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded.
I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day.
Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better.
The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room.
While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
In the end, we ended up paying the €25.

GGuest UserLocated on a quiet street right in the heart of town, a few minutes walk to the old town and to the beach, this is a gem of a hotel, clean, modern and with an excellent restaurant attached. The staff are very helpful and attentive in multiple languages. One of the best recent hotel stays I've experienced. Thank you.

さささきThe room was available so I was able to check in early, which was very helpful. The reception and concierge were all very kind, and even though I only speak Japanese and used a translation app to ask questions about restaurants, tourist spots, transportation, etc., they smiled and explained many times to me. The building was an atmospheric hotel, but the room felt modern. There was also a courtyard, and it was warm and comfortable when the sun was shining. The room was cold, probably because the ceiling was high, so I turned on the air conditioner, but it remained cold, so I went to the front desk and told them that, and they told me that I needed to switch between cooling and heating, and they kept using the cooling setting. There was a rain shower and a normal shower, and I could choose between them by simply pressing a button, which was convenient. There was also enough water.

Need to take a bus ride to old town via bus or cab.
Journey is abt 15-20mins.
Breakfast at the hotel was decent.
Bed was comfy but not the sofa bed, which can feel the metal frame when my kid sleep on it.
Relatively value for $ if don’t mind the bus journey. No amenities around the hotel.
Good for people who drives as there is free parking available.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel because it was in a quiet location , the room had double glazed windows that allowed me to sleep soundly for more than 8 hours each night and I could reach the city easily by taking the bus.
FYI the taxi fares from and to the San Sebastian airport was 90€ in total, which the hotel has no say on or any other hotels for that matter.

LLamfood22The hotel room is very large, clean and well-organized, and you can even choose from a variety of pillows, which is very considerate! The staff speaks English very fluently and takes the initiative to introduce different attractions. They are very friendly and polite! The hotel is far away from the old town, but there is a bus station nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to get there by bus. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Highly recommend this hotel! 😃

GGuest UserThe pension is easy to find, and staff are very helpful. Beds are comfortable; coffee and tea are available; everything is clean.
The only difficulty might be is there is only one bathroom for all the guests. We were here in low season, so didn't have much difficulty, but I can imagine problems in the high season.
The pension is in the old part of San Sebastian, so visiting the most picturesque parts is easy, as is visiting nearby villages.
Local food is excellent.
I highly recommend this pension; excellent value for your money. It's the best base for exploring this part of the Basque Country.

GGuest UserIt's worth going to this camping. The spacious facilities, good distribution, swimming pool, restaurant bar with breakfast and others, reception with help, and the best of the houses (I picked one of the couple) are super careful, in detail, and absolute cleaning. If you have thought to go to San Sebastián do not doubt it. Furthermore we went without car and the bus to the center to San Sebastián is the 16 that to just side and fast. So great!

GGuest UserNice hotel close to the city center. Friendly staff. Parking is an issue, if you don’t get to book your space then you have to park outside in a public parking and both are expensive.
The rooms are modern and the swimming pool at the rooftop is useful. Also the spa.

GGuest UserWe stayed at apartment room, right next to the mail hotel complex. It was one bedroom suite with kitchen. Well equipped but the building itself was very old. Convenient to central and old town and everything is within the walking distance. Recommend to family who needs space and like to feel at home.
