Host reception was warm and pleasant.

Staff were great all very friendly Room was spacious wardrobe big enough for a 4 yr old to sleep in ( excuse my humour ) and very clean Evening meal portions great food very tasty & staff looked after granddaughter well with keeping her occupied . Breakfast was a little of a let down as under the warmer food was still cold and bacon very dry … cheese was dried up with the cold meats only I flavour yoghurt I wish I had ordered off the fresh cooked menu of eggs selection ( but I never left hungry ) Despite second paragraph I would defo return

Ideal place for a short stay everything is covered great accommodation quite setting and lovely pool and games room good for all ages.

My Mum lives locally in the town. Appreciate the on-site parking. Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly staff.

The hotel is very njice a reward. The lkxation is from.the station a taxu or a bus . A hotel.aervice busses for this area . Great hotel . Liked ny especial stay learned more aplied tge bettrr self . Nearly time to fall awsy and yes i packed the case myself and tge ohibe is seitcged ooff .

Lovely modern room. Great wet room. We run out of toilet paper and no other left in room. Bed was very comfortable. Hairdryer, iron and dressing gown in room.  Hotels fire alarm definitely worked as got woken at 7am to evacuate building. Security were very quick to sort issue, guest had lit candle in one of the rooms. Used the swimming pool steam room and spa which was free.  Good variety of food at breakfast with good view of surrounding grounds. Big car park free of charge

Nice student hostel. Convenient location for lectures in the campus. The kitchen has some kitchenware available.

Hotel was close to Colchester Station which was a bonus as my friend and I just needed to bed down for the night. Staff were friendly and welcoming but not always available. We had a curry next door as they recommended the food and it was good. Room was ok but noisy from the traffic in the morning outside the front of the hotel. Decor and furnishings somewhat dated but just about comfortable enough. Maintenance needs attention. Minor issues such as hairdryer not fixed properly to the wall and no option to switch shower head as the lever was missing. However phone didn't work when I called Reception several times on hearing the fire alarm sound. Turned out to be a false alarm but couldn't be too complacent. Tried the stairwell and was thankful that the exit and side door were accessible, unlike the main front door which had a set of keys dangling from it and was only unlocked when we left in search of breakfast. Overall mixed review.
