The location is close to the beach access and less than 1 miles from Wright memorial. A lot of nice bar and restaurants in the area, some at walking distance, mostly located at 5-10 minutes drive. Bill is a wonderful host and he has treated us very well, breakfasts were amazing, every day a different surprise. Everything super clean, the B&B has been built in the ‘46, perfectly maintained, porch and garden in the backyard amazing! Warmly recommended

Very comfortable and very clean

My wife and I went to the Outer Banks for a day and a half adventure that involved needing a hotel room. I chose shutters based on being located near one of the music venues we would be visiting. We are both free pleased with our stay. It was of course in the winter and off-season so we didn’t have any crowds anywhere which was perfect for us.    It was everything we needed and expected and nothing we didn’t need. It was perfect.

They have two hotels and booked two quadruple rooms. As a result, they failed to arrange the isolation room. The rooms were on the first and second floors. The electronic lock on the first floor was broken. It took a lot of time to go back and forth and finally helped us arrange a room change. If the room is changed in another building, it will be in another building. The room is clean and the bathroom is very large and clean Good front desk, rich breakfast, many choices 

We were happy overall with the accommodations. Check in was simple, the room was spacious and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen had all the necessities, there was a washer and dryer and they provided detergent. The bathrooms had a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Very nice to see/have. I was a bit put off by the ants and spiders I killed in the room and the mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets. Again overall great weekend get away.

The price/performance ratio is very high, and it feels like a small house with all the necessary features. It is a few steps from the seaside, suitable for watching the sunrise in the morning, and it is not far from the Wrights brother memorial hall.

Great location, easy to find and everything 'as advertised'. Decor in room was very nice, seemed updated! We had very little shower pressure, yet it was enough to actually 'shower'. I'm glad the window shade was heavy duty, it kept the heavy sun out to be as cool as possible. The air was a bit loud and literally hot/cold- we just kept it cooler than preferred to ensure it didn't get/stay hot. it was a GREAT touch they left it on cool for our arrival- thank you! Pool looked inviting, we just couldn't make time to use it. We booked it last minute to join a family vaca opportunity- they were in a bigger house up north, we got as close as we could- great option. We'll be back!!

Great stay.

The rooms are very basic and have an old-school charm. Our room was satisfactorily clean and had an air purifier in addition to the heat/ac unit, which was appreciated. A hair dryer is provided as well as liquid hand soap and body wash mounted on the walls. No suitcase stand is provided but there is one chair in the room. Check in was easy and we left the door keys on the dresser at checkout. Our room was located around the back of the motel where it seemed that there were long-term guests that were loud late into the evenings and early in the mornings while the front of the motel appeared to be mostly empty, but the location on Manteo was nice and we were able to walk to several nearby stores and restaurants.

Our room was super close to the stairs that led to the beach which was awesome. However, the shower was so tiny that I kept touching the cold tile every time I tried to wash myself. The pool was very nice and warm the entire time. Parking was also never an issue, although we did have an issue with the oven. We turned it on to preheat and almost immediately it started smoking and set off the fire alarm. It was easy enough to stop that but we decided to not take the chance with the oven after that
