KKinaCongAfter checking out from Poly Rosewood, we moved to the Kimpton, which my best friend highly recommended, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The motorcycle at the entrance and the chic, dark lobby decor immediately caught my eye. The scent in the public areas was sophisticated and pleasant.
We booked a pool-access room for two nights, and it was beautiful. Our butler, Ivy, surprised us with a cute Kimpton puppy plushie and a luggage tag, which made us very happy. I loved the sofa across the pool when I opened the window. I immediately put on sunscreen, ready to jump in, but the water was too cold! After looking around, I realized I could only swim across, so thankfully I brought my duck float to act as a ferry. Soaking up the sun and sipping on a cold drink was just heavenly!
In the afternoon, with nothing else planned, we wandered around the hotel. The lazy river looked great, but unfortunately, it was under construction during our two-day stay 🚧, so we couldn't use it. Still, the other scenery was absolutely stunning and very photogenic. Plus, it was super close to the beach, which even had a little train you could ride! 🚂
In the evening, we headed to 'Chess View' for the complimentary cocktail social hour. My husband and I played an hour of billiards; I lost badly, and he was thrilled! 🥹
The breakfast really impressed me. Compared to Poly Rosewood, which also serves breakfast until 12 PM, the Kimpton's breakfast not only had a better ambiance but also offered a wider and more delicious variety of food. The puff pastry desserts were especially amazing! Ordering was super convenient via QR code. And importantly, the à la carte menu changes daily! It was such a joy to have a surprise every morning for breakfast! ♥️
Throughout our two-day stay, our butler Ivy was incredibly accommodating, answering all our questions and requests. She was super attentive, making our stay absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

When traveling with children, the most important thing is the cleanliness of the room and the food. This hotel exceeded my expectations a little. The room was very clean, with basic facilities such as hair dryers. There were not enough clothes drying racks, so the front desk personally delivered them upstairs. There are also buffet meals in the lobby, which look clean and hygienic, and the children's three meals a day problem is also solved in a friendly way. There are also free tools for catching seafood that can be borrowed. It is only a few hundred meters away from the Monkey Island ticket office and the beach. We just went out and pushed the baby-catching tool and arrived at the destination quickly. The proprietress was also very nice. When she heard that we wanted to go to the pier to buy seafood, she happened to be free and personally sent us to our destination. She also introduced us to the local customs and practices along the way. In the evening, there is the Xincun Night Market downstairs, which makes it very convenient to buy local specialties. The children like the qingbuliang very much. By the way, the pepper and salt mantis shrimps at the entrance of the hotel are very fresh. When we bought them, we saw the boss frying them on the spot, and we tasted the freshness for the first time. The swimming pool of this villa is very clean. They provide a car to go to the market to buy seafood and fruits. It is very convenient to make complementary food for the baby. The fruit is really delicious and not expensive. Although the seafood is not cheap, it is fresh. The villa is not far from the beach. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. Because I brought my baby, I drove there to save my baby's energy. Hahaha, the beach is very fine. Our family also took photos at the beach. There is a coconut forest next to it for photography, which is also very beautiful. It is worth mentioning that we agreed to have a safety seat before we went, but we did not communicate with the housekeeper when we delivered the car on the day. A new one was delivered a while later. This made my journey feel very safe. If there is any problem, find the housekeeper to solve it at any time. It's really great. The service industry is very good to do this. There are really a lot of mosquitoes in Sanya. We adults were bitten all over, but the baby didn't have a single blister, which is lucky.
