Moalboal Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"Amongst the goat paddocks and tin houses was this very nice little resort. Pleasantly surprised with the amenities given the immediate surroundings. The more touristy Panagsama penisula is about 4 to 5 km away. Tuk tuk is required at around 200 pesos in one direction to Panagsama. Locals and staff are very friendly and helpful. Didn't provide daily house keeping which was only mildly disappointing. They are more than happy to exchange towels at your request. A basic shopping centre is about 600 metres away which can cater to almost all your needs. If yo need coffee like me be sure to attend RAM coffee shop, was a good quality coffee. Swimming pool was very pleasant and well maintained, like the rest of the facilities."

"Great place to be. Amazing beach that’s called the Mushroom rocks. You can observe it during the stay. Amazing view from the beach or from the rooftop bar where you can see the other island, sea in all of its beauty. Aaaand don’t miss a chance to observe the stars out of terrace. It’s amaaaaaazing. Restaurant’s right on reception. The food is tasty, especially we liked spring rolls and Wild Orchid omelet. You can chose any table you like (right in front of the beach, on a cafe territory, the rooftop bar or the number balcony. Pool on common territory is wonderful. Clean, different depth, instagramly. But the best thing, there are no people or maybe few. Nice staff on reception and kitchen. Clear, comfortable room. Nice place to come back!"

"Breakfast was pretty average, just stick to the eggs. We booked two tours through the hotel, and they were more expensive than outside options. We thought booking with the hotel would guarantee better service, but it turned out to be terrible. The hotel seems to partner with really subpar dive shops. For the first tour, sardine run snorkeling, they refused to take us back to the hotel afterward, forcing us to walk back, which was a very bad experience. The second time, for the Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls, they completely messed up the timing. We were scheduled for 7 AM, but no one showed up. When we called to confirm, they admitted they'd forgotten. They finally arrived after 8 AM, cutting into our activity time. Our guide was quite old and had poor English, whereas others we saw had young, lively, and talkative guides. I definitely advise against booking any tours through this hotel."

"A very pleasant hotel with nice, clean rooms that stay cool. The air conditioning was turned off at night. The room was cleaned daily, and it smelled wonderfully of clean linens. Beautiful grounds, smoking allowed on the veranda, free short-distance shuttle service, and the option to book excursions. A parrot was also provided. Cons: sick dogs wandering around the grounds and pooping on the beautiful lawn. I was very dissatisfied with the organization of the excursion transfer. When we booked a canyoning trip with a private transfer, there was no driver waiting for us on the return trip. We had to call one and wait a very long time in the heat (people on a shared transfer had left much earlier). We were told the driver was taking other guests somewhere and we had to wait for him to take them and then come pick us up. We paid 5,000 pesos for the tour and private transfer for two (we could easily have found cheaper). The staff also asked if it was possible to add a neighbor from another room to ours (which was fine, we didn't mind). For that extra cost, they could have taken a more careful approach to transporting guests who were tired after canyoning. The tour itself and the guides were excellent."

"Really nice sized pool and sunlounge area considerng this is a budget hotel. I never stay around these hotels much to make the most of the facilities but it's here if you want it. Nice room and very clean. Near the bus stop but a bit of a walk to the strip where all the bars and restaurants are. Most people have a scooter anyway so you won't get any better for the money they charge here. 8/10"

"We loved staying in this location. Our room was right on the water, giving some breathtaking views morning and night. Lots of storage space and big bathroom. The hotel has a great diving center that also rents all kinds of snorkeling equipment too until later hours. Pool was clean and there was even a tipsy bar within it. Our only issue was very low water pressure in the shower which made washing long hair ia bit challenging. While you are away from the “mail” street in town, walk us about 8 min and there are few other hotels/ restaurants and activity companies located right next to hotel entrance"

"Loved the property and the beach. Best snorkeling we did in Moalboal was direct from the resort and we saw turtles and lots of starfish and marine life. The lifeguard Frankie went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing snorkeling experience. Also enjoyed the pool and the location worked perfectly for us as it was away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to hit the town for dinner each night. Plus, White Beach is a 5 minute paddle away on the kayak. Would definitely come back again"

"Facilities: Hot water shower and air conditioning are good. But there are no other facilities in the room, no kettle, no hair dryer. You need to bring your own kettle, or go to the front desk to get a cup and pour water. Hygiene: The room is cleaned every day, but the swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. I don’t know how to maintain it, so I didn’t dare to go to the swimming pool. Fortunately, it’s close to the sea, so you can just swim in the sea. Environment: Both entering and exiting require a long and rugged road. Close to the sea, you can go snorkeling. It's just a hotel, without any star-level services provided, and there is a service fee charged at the end. It is incorrect to list it as a top-ranked local four-star hotel on Ctrip. There should be more options. Service: Unlike the diving shops in Bohol, there is no safety officer here. We took part in the snorkeling activity, because we went with divers, the guide was not very enthusiastic. There is no introduction leaflet for the event to refer to. However, it is indeed convenient to go to see the sardines. You can just take a boat and join the activity to get there. No need to go around town. Special reminder: this fee is not deducted by Ctrip, you need to pay in cash at the store. There is a reminder in the order, please be sure to bring enough cash."

"The good is that it was very clean and more accessible by car than many of the hotels in town. The bad is that there was no hot water because the outlet for the water heater shower was broken. They also had a menu of things you could buy but then they were out of most things. I spoke to another guest and they had the same complaints. We are also used to blankets with the bed, but only a sheet was provided."

"The room matches the description. Spacious and clean. Important: if you want your room cleaned, please put a sign on the table or tell the girls at reception. It's close to the sea and they help with organizing excursions. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The only downside is there's no TV or refrigerator."
