"Everything else was fine, but there was a thin Asian girl at the hotel front desk whose service was quite poor. One of the reasons I returned to the U.S. was to handle identity documents. Since my case was progressing and I had to supplement some documents, I needed to print them. Other front desk staff politely helped me print them. When it was this girl's shift: The first time, she didn't even look and printed the wrong document. When I asked her to reprint, she was already impatient. I needed a pen to sign, and the first time she gave me a red pen, which meant I had to reprint that page again. The second pen didn't work, and only on the third try did I get a usable pen. She took back the stapler before I even had a chance to use it. When I went to her, she gave me a sour look and said, ”If you print more than 10 pages, we charge 10 cents per page.” I said that was fine. She then said she would put a 50-cent charge on my room bill. Because the documents contained a lot of important personal information, I asked her to ensure she deleted all emails sent to the public inbox. She perfunctorily deleted them but didn't permanently clear them from the trash. After all this back and forth, I missed the last mailing time for the day. What made this unpleasant was: I had already booked a hotel for over $1000 a night; I wouldn't quibble over 50 cents. I hadn't printed more than 10 pages, and she hadn't even counted, but she was using those 50 cents to protest my bothering her. I hadn't even complained about her sloppy, muddled work and complete lack of service consciousness, not to mention the terrible expression on her face. Some people don't use a single curse word but use subtle tactics to make you uncomfortable. I lived in Los Angeles for 11 years, and this has nothing to do with cultural or racial differences. My entire trip back was warm and happy, things went smoothly, and I saw all my friends. Encountering this front desk lady was the only flaw in an otherwise perfect trip."

"Breakfast in room, a $70 breakfast, they charged $6 for delivery, then added a 20% service charge, and topped it off with a $22 tip (the first two items weren't displayed when I signed for the tip). It seems like moving the breakfast from the kitchen to the room incurred three separate fees, adding over 40% to the bill just to get it done."

"A very beautiful big house, it feels more like an airbnb homestay, not like a hotel, but it feels very special. The house is located in the wealthy area on the mountain. It is very luxurious. It is said that this house has a history of nearly 50 years, and the floor is covered. The patina is out. Usually when there are no guests, there will be a lot of sexy internet celebrities to pose for photos. The owner of the grandfather was very nice. He prepared breakfast for us in the morning. He knew that we were Chinese and would help us cook dumplings, watch TV on the cctv channel, recommend tourist routes, etc. He was very very enthusiastic and made us all embarrassed, toilet The two rooms are shared, but there is no one next door on the day we stayed, so it is equivalent to a private toilet. It's really great 👍"
