While visiting Wuyuan, I chanced upon this guesthouse, Xian Lai Wu Shi, and was immediately charmed by their afternoon tea! The guesthouse's courtyard is filled with greenery, and the sunshine felt so warm. I ordered a pot of Wuyuan Imperial Chrysanthemum tea, accompanied by freshly baked osmanthus cakes and local pastries. The taste was delightfully sweet and not at all cloying, and the osmanthus cakes were perfectly soft and chewy. The proprietress thoughtfully included seasonal fruits. Enjoying my tea and snacks while basking in the sun and gazing at the distant mountains was an absolutely divine experience. Having stayed in so many guesthouses, this is the first time I've felt that afternoon tea could be such a highlight. Not only was it beautiful, but the taste was incredible. Next time I'm in Wuyuan, I definitely want to return here to while away the time!

To be honest, my stay at Xuri Mountain Villa exceeded my expectations, mainly due to a few points: 1. **Service**: The guesthouse offers excellent service. They guided me to parking, helped with luggage, and provided directions for sightseeing routes. 2. **Dining**: This guesthouse genuinely puts effort into its food. They try their best to adjust the taste of dishes to guests' preferences, and the portions are generous. Although breakfast is simple, it looks clean and appetizing. 3. **Overall Hygiene**: The entire place, including the room, stairwell, and the restaurant on the first floor, was spotlessly clean. The hot water in the room was also very good. 4. **Location**: It's situated at a higher point in the village, making it relatively convenient to reach Observation Deck No. 1 and the Golden Rooster Announcing Dawn Observation Deck. Overall, staying here truly feels like home! If I get a chance to visit the Jiangling Scenic Area again, this would definitely be my top choice.

On March 4, 2026, my best friend and I went to Wuyuan, Jiangxi to photograph the canola fields. After comparing the reviews and locations of various guesthouses nearby, we finally booked the 'AWAKENING.SOULMATE.Starry Sky Courtyard Holiday B&B - Yunran/270° River View Family Twin Room' on Trip.com. It's located at No. 55 Xiangtian Village, Ziyang East Road, Rancheng Street, and conveniently has an elevator. The B&B is right at the exit of Wunvzhou Scenic Area, making its location very convenient. The elevator made carrying our luggage upstairs and downstairs incredibly easy. Once in the room, simply saying 'Xiao Ai, turn on the air conditioning, turn on the lights, open the curtains, close the curtains' was super convenient. In the morning, calling 'Xiao Ai, open the curtains' revealed a beautiful scene: happy ducks playing in the small river, and across the river, canola fields, white walls, and grey tiles. It was like an open oil painting – so stunning! My friend and I took many beautiful photos sitting by the small table on the tatami mat by the window. This wonderful start set the tone for a joyful trip. The 3rd floor offers excellent viewing angles. Each room has a large double bed, and the soundproofing is great. The living room features a rattan chair with a side table, a tatami mat with a low table, and a unique projector. The bathroom is very spacious, with a well-designed shower, sink, and toilet, achieving an excellent dry-wet separation. It completely matched the photos and description on Trip.com, making us feel right at home. The cleaning staff tidied the room daily and replenished the amenities. The owner, Honghong, was incredibly cheerful, sunny, warm, and patient. For our first check-in, she personally showed us to our room and thoroughly explained the room password, nearby attractions, and dining options. There are many restaurants nearby. Particularly, the breakfast spots in the backstreet offer江南-style architecture and delicious food. A short walk away, the convenience store under the Atour Hotel allows you to purchase instant food and basic necessities. There are numerous attractions nearby. Didi (ride-hailing service) makes transportation convenient, and self-driving guests can park in the spacious parking lot downstairs at the B&B. Honggao Ancient City (best to enter around 4 PM, the lighting at night is fantastic, especially the fish lantern parade and fire-breathing performance at the main stage are quite unique). Wunvzhou (the iron flower performance in the evening is a highlight, and the cultural and tourism exhibits in the museum to the right of the entrance are worth a visit). Jiangling (picturesque terraced fields create a poetic landscape, with canola flowers, green hills, clear waters, and Huizhou-style ancient buildings complementing each other). Huangling (Huizhou-style residences are scattered picturesquely, with shops in front of houses and workshops behind, and colorful harvested fruits drying on shelves. Take B cable car up, cross Leixin Bridge to Tianjie, and take A cable car down. Almost every step offers a scenic view, making it excellent for photography). Jiangwan (Xiao Jiang Ancestral Temple's grandeur showcases Ming Dynasty architectural features). Likeng (a Huizhou-style village inhabited by the Li family, embodying the tranquility of 'small bridges, flowing water, and homes'). Moon Bay (a unique crescent-shaped island, offering picturesque江南 natural scenery). Shimen (home to the blue-crowned laughingthrush, the 'panda of birds,' with white walls and grey tiles displaying the simple elegance of Huizhou residences). Yantian Ancient Camphor (a millennium-old camphor tree in a Huizhou-style village, like a giant dragon supporting its massive canopy, seemingly blessed by gods to protect all beings). Sixi Yancun (an ancient Huizhou village and a film shooting location). Rainbow Bridge (built during the Southern Song Dynasty, it features two approach bridges, four piers, five arches, and five corridors. The couplet at the bridgehead is from Li Bai's poem 'Climbing Xie Tiao's North Tower in Xuancheng in Autumn': 'Two waters embrace a bright mirror, a double bridge drops a rainbow'). Wengong Commercial Plaza near the B&B offers various snacks. Wuyuan's Huangju (chrysanthemum) from Xiaoji and green tea from Dazhangshan can be purchased in season. Local delicacies include stone pot lotus leaf fish, red carp, ciba (glutinous rice cake), fragrant rice paste, sticky glutinous pork, and dried bamboo shoots or stir-fried spring bamboo shoots with meat. Zui Zao Yu (fermented fish) can be a challenge for those who can't handle spice. Reluctantly, as we were preparing to leave, still captivated by the beauty, we discovered the koi pond, outdoor tea room, 'shaiqiu' (sun-drying harvest), and lush greenery on the first floor. My best friend and I took many more beautiful photos there. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, we also felt the warmth of the happy family who owns the B&B. The owner couple was sunny and thoughtful. The kind father always wore a refined smile. The owner's mother thoughtfully steamed the raw duck eggs I bought at Wengong Commercial Plaza, showing the heartwarming care of an elder. The owner's child was a diligent student, polite and studious, with the aura of a future high-flyer. Thank you to the owners for this treasured B&B! I wish them a pleasant work life and prosperous business. With breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and comfortable Huizhou-style residences with expansive views, we look forward to our next visit. Considering the relatively remote and mountainous location of Huangling Village, this hotel is in an excellent location for entering the Huangling Scenic Area. Just 5-10 min walk up the stairs to the entrance to the Scenic Area. Very basic but clean, spacious room and comfortable. We stayed there for one night to access the Scenic area. We are happy with our choice. The host lady was a dynamo and super efficient and super responsive on WeChat. Our hire chauffeured van arrived at the village entrance where it couldn't go any further, the host came down in a small three wheeler to take the luggagges to the hotel and we followed it on foot. Just only a short 5 min walk to the hotel. After exploring the scenic area and the ancient village on the mountain, she came up in the three wheeler again to take us back to the hotel late at night. Don't expect much for breakfast . Don't expect big city hotel's standards. Experiencing the Scenic Area and the ancient village was exceptional. We were very happy with our choice of stay.

Hello. We are a couple from Holland and are spending our third week of our vacation in China in Huangling cun. We planned to only spend one night in Huangling but we were enjoying ourselves here so much that we extended our stay with an extra night. The B&B is located at the top of the mountain and our room at the B&B was also on the topfloor. The hallways on each floor and the room itself are tastefully decorated with an eye for detail. The room is fully equipped. All is looking tidy and sparkling clean. The door next gives access to a roof terrace with laundry facilities and wiring for hanging clothes to dry. The boss (Mme Zhan) gave us a warm welcome and came down the mountain to pick us up where the taxi driver could not go any further up. Although we booked the Tatami room she suggested us to move into the room next door. That one comes with a balcony. We gladly accepted her advice. After having refreshed ourselves in the room she showed us the footpath up the mountain that leads to the entrance. She told us to contact her via Wechat at the end of the evening so that she could bring us back to the hotel again. The next morning she brought us down the mountain so that we could have breakfast near the bus station. from there we could easily take the bus to another beautiful old village in the neighbourhood, Likeng. The boss dropped us off and wished us a good day. We did not know that while we were eating the went back up to the B&B and came down again to bring us an umbrella to provide shelter from rain or sunshine. We did not request this. We very much appreciated this kind and polite gesture. We had a great time in Huangling village on our first day. Our second day was in Likeng village. The atmosphere in Likeng was very relaxing. It felt really authentic and the people here are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you boss and thank you all fine people in Huangling village and Likeng village. We had the time of our lives in your beautiful villages 😍

The boss is warm and honest, which greatly enhances the travel experience (he is the person in the picture ⬇️). This time I spent three days in Wuyuan with my parents and chose a chartered car tour. The boss was relatively free and acted as driver and tour guide himself. He not only arranged the itinerary reasonably according to our preferences and needs, acted as a guide, but also took many photos for us. All in all, the price is really nothing to worry about. The boss himself is very talkative and treats guests as friends. It is understood that many guests come back to Wuyuan again and again, which shows how good the experience is. The B&B itself is a farmhouse. The room facilities are relatively simple, but they are very clean. The courtyard space is also very comfortable. It faces the river in front and has a good view. Special praise should be given to the food. I was very satisfied with every meal. I booked the room after reading reviews that said the food here was delicious. I was not disappointed when I arrived, haha. My parents were very satisfied with the trip and continued to praise Xingyu and the boss after leaving Wuyuan. I came in autumn this time and didn’t see any rapeseed flowers. If I have a chance, I’ll come back to Wuyuan to see the rapeseed flowers.

The room was exceptionally spacious and clean, with a great view from the window. There's free parking, but spaces are limited. The owner was very helpful and assisted with our luggage. We ate both breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse. The owner's cooking was very clean and hygienic. Before coming, I read on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) that many people experienced vomiting and diarrhea after eating in tourist areas, so I was hesitant to eat out. However, the guesthouse has its own kitchen, so I felt safe eating there. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. They even gave us a packet of tea they grew themselves before we left. I would definitely choose this guesthouse again if I have the chance!

firstly about the owner, he’s helpful and knowledgeable and can solve all your problems. he picked me up around 10-11pm in his tricycle decked out in a raincoat and headlight in the rain and even cooked a warm bowl of noodles for me late at night because i was feeling hungry. he also helped me order a ride share to my next stop because it would be cheaper than booking a didi. the owner doesn’t speak english but i think he will gladly accept any foreigners. next is about my room, right outside my window is a little water stream where you can hear water rushing (very soothing if you’re not in the middle of a thunderstorm or flood), the windows are soundproof if you don’t like hearing the rushing water. since it is the countryside, there are a couple of bugs so beware and don’t leave the window open, bring mosquito repellent just in case. the bathroom is a squat toilet so not very suitable for foreigners. the location of the home stay is close to the ticket entrance but you do have to climb quite a few flight of stairs.

This B&B is the closest to Wunvzhou. Right after we got off the high-speed train, the owner immediately arranged a car to pick us up. She also recommended a fantastic local restaurant nearby, serving incredibly delicious home-style food at very reasonable prices, and even helped us secure discounted tickets for local attractions! When we had some free time in the afternoon, she suggested Xiangao Ancient City, which turned out to be a perfect spot for taking stunning photos. On our second day, she arranged for a car to pick us up directly from the B&B for our trip to Huangling, and we also got discounted entrance tickets! Honestly, for anything you need, just ask the owner – she's incredibly helpful! Absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!

During this journey in Wuyuan, the Jingyuan Inn left a deep impression on me. In terms of location, the inn is located in the center of the county and the surrounding traffic is very convenient. There is a bus stop at the door, it is very convenient to go anywhere, and it is very close to various attractions, especially very close to the girl, which makes our play itinerary a lot easier. Downstairs is a dining street, there are many choices for eating, there is no need to worry about not finding the food that suits the taste. In terms of facilities, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the bedding is soft and comfortable, making people rest at ease. Parking is also very convenient, very friendly to self-driving tourists. The indoor supplies are disposable, which is particularly intimate, which greatly guarantees the health of the guests and makes people feel at ease. In terms of service, the service staff is warm and thoughtful and has an excellent attitude. From the intimate guidance at check-in to answering various questions, people feel the warmth of home. The proprietress also intimately provided us with ticket coupons for attractions, which saved us a lot of money. In short, if you come to Wuyuan, Wujingyuan Inn is definitely a very good choice.
