Amazing
KKrista1. The person who checked us in was not warm and friendly. In the past we have stayed at this hotel many times and had great service. This was not the case this time. The staff who checked us in gave us average service and didn't listen very well. When we visit a hotel, it's nice to be greeted with a smile and makes it easier to travel. 2. The hot water was not available when we wanted to take a shower. The water tank on the floor that serviced our room had to be turned up in order for us to take a shower. Hot water tank temperatures should be checked routinely as a matter of business operations at a hotel. When we called to ask for help for the hot water, no one came for more than 15 minutes. So we had to call again, and explain that we needed to shower and go to bed ASAP. This was not efficient service. 3. Room supplies: There was 3 decaff and only 1 regular coffee packets in our room. We woke up at 1:30 a.m. to get ready and noticed this problem. There was no way to get this problem fixed before we left at that hour. The cleaning staff should be more careful to put the correct things in the room. 4. The water in the room burned out eyes and skin. We've stayed at this hotel many times and never had this problem. Perhaps there is something wrong with the water now. 5. The fan on the air conditioner / heater doesn't change from low to high. It's always high and too noisy. When we asked about it, we were told that all of the units on the 3rd floor were like this. It was too difficult to sleep with the horrible noise of the high fan. 6. A unhappy start to our trip.
JJaime FredricksonVery clean. Loved our King suite, especially for the price!!! Food was good, but they had a bit of a hard time keeping up with hot items being stocked... It was pretty packed though, so it was understandable. They kindly gave me a late checkout so the kids could swim after breakfast... Pool is a little small and we're always a fan of a hotel with a hot tub (which this one doesn't have), but it was clean and did the job for the kiddos anyways. Overall, one of the best Hamptons we have been to and we will definitely go back when in the Chicago area.
GGuest UserVery good value for the price, stuff is very welcoming. They checked in me earlier, because the room was ready. Hotel is in 15 minutes walk from city center. You can easily get from/to the airport to the hotel by metro

Very Good
DDiane BernadetteWe had a great stay at Parthenon Guest House! The restroom facilities were very clean, and having 3 showers and 2 toilets for the women’s area was a huge plus—it really helped avoid any long waits in the morning. The room was just the right size for the four of us, cozy but comfortable. We also enjoyed the common area, which had a nice vibe and was a good space to relax. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-maintained place to stay!
GGuest UserPrice pretty much reflected experience. Picked this hotel because it was cheaper than others in the area, very close to O’Hare, and had a free airport shuttle. Lobby and outside of building was slightly deceiving; the atmosphere significantly dwindled once you got to the hallways. Dark, small and creepy looking hallways with no elevator. Rooms were okay. Bathroom was clean but toilet had an ugly industrial handle and pretty much all of the towels had stains on them. Various stains around the room too, such as the curtains which had many odd looking marks (hopefully not blood??) and the comforters had a couple of weird looking spots too. Everything else was fine except for the fact that the fan unit was completely broken and it was hot all night. Service was helpful and the free shuttle was a huge plus, but overall a pretty dingy and outdated hotel. Also, kind of a picky note but vending machines in the lobby only took small bills; no cards.
GGuest UserThe only thing I don't like is that you can only stay 21 days the hotel should allow for people to stay longer some people are looking for houses or apartments and have to keep moving from place to place until they get a place to stay that is my problem I like to stay in one place cuz I like this hotel a lot but I have to move every 21 days for 7 days I can't see how you can consider it and squatting when people are trying to find housing that's the only regret I have other than that the hotel is fine the people are wonderful that's all I got to say
GGuest UserI was in Schaumburg for a 2 Day conference and chose to stay at a more cost effective location since I was traveling alone and really just needed a decent place to stay.
Upon arrival, I was greeted and given my key cards. I drove towards the side door as it was closer to the
elevator. Not the hotels fault I guess, but people were smoking in areas I know weren’t designated for smoking.
The 2nd floor ***** of ***. I am grateful it wasn’t coming from my room, however: the assigned room did not smell clean at all. I did bring cleaning sprays from home just in case, the room wasn’t clean. I had to wipe the counters , desk and sink top off. They were dirty and sticky to the touch. I was going to ask for staff to come up and check the room but decided not to do that.
The next morning I went to the front desk to ask that
Housekeeping not clean until I left. Front desk staff was on the cellular device and I had to get his attention. He was nice and courteous but told me that rooms were cleaned once per week. Guess that’s why my assigned room smells the way.
While I am an avid dog lover, the dogs coming out the exit when I tried to enter were huge. This gentleman had two and could hardly control them.
Nevertheless, you get what you pay for so I can’t be too upset. I just don’t recall this chain being so lax about the amenities, staff professionalism-and cleanliness.
JJoeIt has pretty cheap rooms and they allow pets to stay for free. They have good Wi-Fi as long as you're downstairs or near the office. And they have Smart TVs in every room.
GGuest UserThe staff unfortunately didn’t provide much detail at check in, I had to ask after everything was said and done where exactly our room was and they had a hard time explaining that. Had to return as our booking for 3 adults in the room they only provided 2 towels. Didn’t advise any info about checking out just asked us to make sure we knew the TVs weren’t working in our room. Also needed to ask for more info on where the ice machine was, if a little map maybe had been provided or something to forgo the questions would’ve been helpful.
The room itself was tidy except for some bugs on the sheets on one of the beds which and been wiped into the sheet and then obviously not changed afterwards. Other a decent budget motel if you want to figure things out yourself.
