The car is parked at the door of the room, and outside the balcony is the beautiful beach and cliffs. The hotel is next to the start of Highway One. It is very cost-effective. You can watch the sunset and sunrise in the room.
Clean and good location.
Not so good: booked a queen bed room but the bed doesn’t seem to be queen, at most a full size. I measured with iPhone’s Measurement app and used ChatGPT to evaluate the photo, both concluded that the bed is only full size. But the hotel said it is a queen, no way to argue!
The next morning, the toilet got clogged, fortunately, the clerk, 10 minutes after calling up the owner, gave us another room for our morning routine. They could do better, they should have us the new room right the way, the clerk of the front desk should have more empowerment in this kind of situation.
Breakfast is the most simplistic! Though the coffee is strong and good, it is the only bright item.
The photos fooled me into thinking it was better than it is. It seemed like maybe a step above Motel 6. The front door had a sizable gap between the jamb and the door. Light shine through. It also let in all the noise from the courtyard, neighbors, and street. The wifi worked sometimes. I asked for no maid service since I had my stuff strewn everywhere. They respected that. There was no Do Not Disturb sign to better indicate. The one they gave me on request was always blowing off the doorknob. Everything just felt cheap, with the ”continental breakfast” of FrootLoops and other cereals, pop-up waffles, etc. I went down the street to an excellent café every day instead. There was also a hole above the registration desk that had been patched but not painted. Can't say I'd stay there again.
Temporary rest on Highway 1 for one night, general motel, the main parking is convenient, suitable for self-driving. The room upgrade to double bed is relatively large, the facilities are old, the health is OK... there is a refrigerator and a microwave...
Very hygienic, the breakfast is also very rich, there are many parking spaces, the parking lot is large, and the parking is free. The location of the hotel is very convenient to see the sea. You can see the sea from the door of the hotel room. The water here is blue, better than the water north of Eureka.
