GGuest Userbig hotel with quiet and spacious rooms away from the centre but easily reachable by the express bus no 100. we bought the Multiplu 72 hours surface transport pass( bus+tram) costing 20 RON which was valid for airport bus 100 too. Bucharest is nicely connected by bus and trams and we did not use Metro for travel. the rooms and beds were comfortable and provided very good sleep. the hotel is hardly 20 mins from OTP airport which is welcome as there is always very heavy traffic in Bucharest. this city is really well planned with cheap transport and some truly beautiful buildings. we saw the art gallery and the Cotroceni” National Museum which i feel is one of the best palaces in the world and also the administration palace wing which was open as a combined ticket available only on weekends. the hotel looks a bit old but without any issue offering a very comfortable stay.

DDarren_in_BarcelonaA beautiful hotel in old town Bucharest! Even though I booked the cheapest room, it was really spacious and comfortable. I loved the bathroom and the room was very bright. Also, it was very quiet. There were only two other rooms on my floor and the sound insulation was good. I slept very well here. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to store my bag the next day while exploring the city. Very good hotel in a convenient location.

CCeline ArgyropoulosThe stay was really great! the communication was smooth. The flat is clean and has everything one needs. I would ask the owner to consider adding a small trash bin in the bathroom, for women who need to dispose of certain things, without having to go back to the flat (my flat had a completely separate private bathroom, so I had to go through a small corridor to go back and forth, but this corridor is protected by a main door and gives access to only the flat and another one). The second suggestion would be to leave a roll of plastic bags, for the bin in the kitchen.
The location is a bit far from the center, so if you want to stay for a short period, I would advise another location (it takes around 30min to get to the center). The area is rather quiet, although Bucharest is known for the heavy traffic (and, apparently, many speed drivers and cars with tuned exhausters?).
The washing machine and the drying rack was a very nice bonus, they even leave some pods to do two loads. overall really great!

GGuest UserI cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.

KKrisstinutsaA beautiful place to stay when you visit Bucharest. The hotel has nice, spacious rooms with comfy beds. It also has the most beautiful furniture. You have a fantastic view in the evening. Staff are friendly and helpful, speak several languages - no worries for travellers from any country. Breakfast is fine, and the restaurant looks nice as well. Parking is possible as well, so you don't have to worry about the car.

The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail in the room's amenities made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the receptionist, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided us with amazing suggestions for places to visit in Romania, turning our holiday into an incredible experience. Her local knowledge and enthusiasm made all the difference, guiding us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed.
The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start our days of sightseeing.
The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to Bucharest's main attractions and public transport. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. Valentina, the reception staff, kindly told us about the hotel around the hotel at check-in. When I met at the hotel of the same group next door at a later date, she called out and even remembered my name. I was very happy. ILINCA was also a kind reception staff. When I told him I was tired from a long trip, he let me check out for free. Thanks to that, I was able to leave the hotel room according to the flight time.
The breakfast restaurant staff ADE always had a smile and a very good impression. I found that he spoke well and cared for the guests. Thanks to him, I felt good from the morning. The staff at the breakfast restaurant are like the staff at the restaurant Sharkia next to the reception of this hotel. Other staff are kind and the food is delicious above all, so if you are interested in Sharkia, it seems worth a visit.
Izabela in the server kitchen spoke Japanese. I was surprised because there were few people who spoke Japanese. I was happy to come to greet me from the kitchen and speak Japanese.
In addition, the security and housekeeper at the entrance were kind.
Thanks to the staff, we had a comfortable 3 night stay. Thank you very much.

GGuest UserIn any self-respecting hotel, you would expect basic amenities like toothbrush holders in the bathroom. There were none, so we had to place our toothbrushes on the counter by the sink. Even simple items such as a shower cap were not provided.
Housekeeping entered every morning without waiting after knocking. During heavy snowfall, the hotel made no effort to clear a path outside, and we had to walk through snow and frozen puddles to reach our taxi, while other hotels had cleared walkways for their guests.
On our last morning, my husband went to buy a coffee and was sent to the dining room. When he made a coffee, a staff member immediately questioned whether we had paid for breakfast and called reception to check, without giving him a chance to say he would pay. She then loudly announced, “Sir! You haven’t paid for the coffee!” as if he were trying to steal. He paid immediately and didn’t even take the change.
Overall, this hotel is no more than a three-star property. Management seemed absent, and the staff were unprofessional and inattentive
