Renovated in 2026, the Kyoto Century Hotel offers both holiday makers and business travelers a pleasant stay in Kyoto. From the hotel, Kyoto Station is just 300m away. In addition, Kujō Metro Station is just a short walk away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Kyoto Station Building, Sanjūsangendō Temple and Higashi Honganji all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"Extremely satisfied with this hotel. Traveling with elderly parents and children, we landed in Osaka and headed straight to Kyoto, so we chose a hotel within walking distance from the station, making it easy to manage our luggage. It's only a three-minute walk from the train station (you can see it right after exiting and turning right). The room, while not huge, was incredibly cozy and didn't feel cheap like some budget hotels. The staff were very friendly; my partner loves tea and would ask for extra water daily, which they always provided for free. During our stay, we rarely saw other Chinese guests; it was mostly Western and local guests, and breakfast was always quiet. There are tons of restaurants near the hotel (a sushi place within a five-minute walk was super delicious and great value for money). Plus, there's Isetan department store right next to the station for shopping – it couldn't be more convenient! A taxi from the hotel to Kiyomizu-dera Temple cost about 1800 JPY, and to Takashimaya, it was roughly the same price. At 9 PM, you can enter the station and take the escalator to the top for a free panoramic view of Kyoto's nightscape. All in all, I'm very satisfied and would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."

The Hyatt Regency Kyoto provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Kyoto will find that the Hyatt Regency Kyoto is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is just 600m away from Shichijō Station. The closest major public transportation, Gojō Metro Station, is only 2km away. Guests will find Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station, Ninen-zaka and Sannenzaka & Ninenzaka just a short distance from the hotel. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Kyoto hotel offers parking on site. According to our trusted guests, the facilities at this hotel are first-rate. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"I felt the facilities were a bit dated, and the service was just so-so. They double-charged me for the room, and the foreign housekeeping staff didn't seem to consider guest comfort, constantly trying to rush through their cleaning duties. This probably comes down to poor training from the management team. The location is good though, right next to Sanjusangendo Temple and the Kyoto National Museum, and you can even walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in about 15 minutes. Very convenient for getting around."

The Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Kyoto will find that the Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is just 400m away from Karasuma Station. In addition, Shijō Metro Station is just a short walk away. Seeing Kyoto's sights from this hotel is easy with Chōhō-ji (Rokkaku-dō) Temple, Kyoto International Manga Museum and The Museum of Kyoto all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"The hotel is located on Shijo street, about an 800-meter walk from Karasuma Station. Downstairs, there are two large supermarkets, one on each side, and a convenience store right across the street. The lobby is on the third floor and is very spacious. The breakfast selection is excellent, and I particularly enjoyed their draft coffee, which is served from a machine much like a beer tap. You get a bit of the concentrate, then add ice water and milk, and it tastes really good. The room is a typical Japanese hotel room – not very big. We had a triple room, and our luggage took up a fair bit of space. However, one great feature of the room is the 'three-part separation' bathroom, where the sink, toilet, and shower are completely separate, which is very convenient and prevents any disturbance. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. All in all, it's a good value-for-money hotel, convenient for checking in or for exploring the Shijo area."

"The largest room we’ve stayed in during our Japan trip. We absolutely loved it. We selected the Premium Deluxe room for the space as we wanted to rest well in Kyoto and got tired of the small rooms in Tokyo. The bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in, and the bathroom is spacious. I would recommend the Premium Deluxe for people who have more budget and want to rest well. 10/10 would stay here again."

"Facilities: You have to walk through an alley to find the hotel entrance. Upon entering, you pass by the staff area. The lobby environment, facing a small courtyard, is quite pleasant. However, the quality of the Otowa Hall is mediocre. They claim to offer complimentary soft drinks and snacks, but in reality, there isn't much choice. The coffee machine area was cluttered with used coffee cups, making it look a bit dirty. Service: Hotel check-in time is 3 PM, but I arrived at 2:30 PM after some early shopping. The staff brought out some snacks and even knelt down to meticulously explain the hotel's layout and check-in procedures. Hygiene: I stayed in a Japanese-style room with a tatami mat. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the environment, but the bed sheets had a strong, stale odor. It felt like they weren't changed between guests... even perfume couldn't cover the smell. Overall, I felt this hotel prioritizes formality. The internal quality still has room for improvement!"

"Hotel Okura Kyoto is a classic, top-tier five-star hotel. The service is incredibly attentive, and the rooms are spotless. We stayed in a triple room facing Higashiyama with views of the Kamo River. We had emailed the hotel in advance requesting a higher floor, and they certainly didn't disappoint! Breakfast was extensive, and dining while enjoying the views of Higashiyama and the Kamo River was wonderfully relaxing. It was very quiet at night, making for a peaceful sleep. From our room, we could even see attractions like Kiyomizu-dera Temple. The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to visit Nijo Castle, Kiyomizu-dera, and other sights. There's also a reception lounge at Kyoto Station, with a shuttle bus running back and forth for guests. "Guys, staying at Suzunari Gion Kennin-ji Hotel truly made me feel like I'd stepped back in time into an ancient Kyoto noble's home! The hotel's style is incredibly atmospheric, with its traditional wooden structures and tatami rooms; every corner absolutely oozes classic Japanese charm. I couldn't help but flop right onto the tatami mat as soon as I entered the room – it was so incredibly comfortable! And the location is absolutely unbeatable – Kennin-ji Temple is literally right outside your door, and you might even be lucky enough to spot a beautiful geisha! The hotel staff speak Chinese, and their hospitality was incredibly warm – I felt like a celebrity being looked after. Oh, and the hotel's shampoo smells amazing! The Hotel Nikko Nara provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Nara City will find that the Hotel Nikko Nara is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is only 100m from Nara Station and 47km from Osaka Itami Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. This hotel is located near many of Nara City's attractions including Nara Tokae Lantern Festival, Prayer Room Guide Information Center and Heijokyu Daikokudenatozeyori Nishiinu 20-cho Monument. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"This is a great option if you want a budget option that is still reasonably comfortable and clean. You get a physical key as the room key and there and then you know that it is a dated hotel. And that also means anyone can access the hotel room floors, and thankfully, there was no security issues throughout our stay. Besides that, the hotel room amenities are acceptable and we enjoyed using the bathroom supplies very much. We booked the Large Twin Room which also means our bath area and toilet are in separate rooms, which is great. The bathroom has the traditional bath house concept with the stool and low mirror, which made our bath time fun for the kids and interesting for adults. We like that fresh towels were provided daily even if we put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door knob. Housekeeping would leave the items in a plastic bag outside your door, including bottles of mineral water. Yes, bottled water is provided for free here, which is perfect. The hotel staff were very friendly. Lifts were spacious and worked perfectly. There were no bugs in the room. Our non-smoking room also smelled fine - no odd or bad smell/odour. The location is also easy for taxi drivers to find. There's also a Family Mart and 7-11 less than 5 minutes away. While you're there, check out Yakinikukotora, just 5 minutes away - a great place to go for dinners and suppers; I believe they close at 3am. All in all, it was a pleasant stay."

The Marufukuro provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Kyoto will find that the Marufukuro is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel offers easy access to Shichijō Station, just 300m away. Transportation around the city is also convenient, with Gojō Metro Station within walking distance. Keeping busy is easy, with Kyoto | DEEN The Best DX Ⅱ 〜YOKOSUKA & KYOTO〜, Rokuharamitsuji Temple and tops cafe Hachijoguchi Store all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Germaphobes can rest easy - the level of cleanliness is highly rated at this hotel.

"This hotel, situated in a residential neighborhood, felt more like a guesthouse, and the most striking impression after checking in was its sheer inconvenience. Firstly, transportation was an issue. It's quite a distance from both the subway and bus stops. In the scorching summer heat, walking anywhere meant breaking a sweat, so we had no choice but to take taxis. Secondly, no dinner was provided, and there weren't many good dining options nearby, making meals quite inconvenient. The late-night snack, offered only from 9 PM, was simply a rice ball added to the afternoon tea selection – incredibly basic. The Japanese set breakfast was unremarkable, neither particularly good nor bad. Lastly, let's talk about the facilities. This property is a hotel converted from Nintendo's original headquarters. The lobby is small, featuring some antique furniture. The 'library' is more accurately described as a small reading room, with limited space and few books. The bar is tiny and, naturally, of no use to non-drinkers. The room interiors feature simple, modern decor, completely devoid of any Nintendo elements. Despite being designer-curated, there were no USB charging ports in the room, and power outlets were scarce. The bathroom completely lacked hanging rods, leaving nowhere to place towels or clothes while washing. The room was provided with a thick winter duvet, which was too hot to sleep under in summer but too cold to sleep without. For a Japanese hotel, renowned for its convenience and thoughtful amenities, these oversights are truly rare and surprising! Although the staff were friendly and spoke fluent English, providing a good introduction and guidance during check-in, the price, which was more than double that of comparable hotels in Kyoto, meant the value for money was poor. It simply cannot compete with established chain hotels. While the minibar and afternoon tea were complimentary, these perks are ultimately factored into the premium price. Perhaps only those with a deep sentimental attachment to the original Nintendo headquarters would be willing to pay such a price."
