Centurion Hotel Ueno was a complete disappointment, falling short of basic hospitality standards. The deception started right at check-in: the room was explicitly advertised and booked as a โ€Casual Double Bed,โ€ but what we actually received was a cramped single bed. This blatant misrepresentation immediately compromised the comfort of our stay. The lack of care extended into the bathroom, which was a major letdown. The sink and shower area were marred by very bad, visible marks that made the entire space feel neglected and unhygienic. For a hotel that positions itself in a convenient location like Ueno, the absolute disregard for accurate room descriptions and rigorous housekeeping is unacceptable.

The room is big, and we can put down three big and three small suitcases for our family of three, and there is still space. The location is good, and it is close to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Omotesando, or Ginza, which is why we chose this hotel. There are many restaurants downstairs, and there is an automatic orange juice machine on the right hand side of the door, 350 yen a cup. You can pay with Alipay QR code or cash. The first thing I do every morning when I get up is to buy orange juice.

A hidden gem in the city that's become my go-to healing haven! I could stay at this hotel countless times! I stumbled upon this treasure on a business trip, and it immediately landed on my 'Priority Business Trip Hotels' list ๐Ÿ“ I absolutely have to rave about it! As soon as I got out of the car, a bellhop proactively helped with my luggage. The moment I pushed open the lobby doors, I was instantly charmed โ€“ the aroma was a subtle citrus, not overwhelming or pungent, and the background music was gentle jazz. Even the few minutes spent waiting to check in felt leisurely, a stark contrast to the crowded, chaotic feeling of other hotels ๐Ÿ˜Œ My room was an even bigger surprise! The floor-to-ceiling window overlooked the city's central park, and in the evening, I watched the sunset paint the clouds a honeyed hue. After turning on the lights at night, the lighting was a soft, warm tone, not at all harsh. The bedding was just the right firmness; lying on it felt like sinking into a cloud. I'm usually someone who struggles to sleep in new places, but last night, I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow, and a huge chunk of my travel fatigue just melted away ๐ŸŒ™ The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries had a subtle woody scent. The shower pressure was great, and the hot water came out super fast, leaving me completely relaxed after my shower. Breakfast exceeded expectations too. The freshly made wontons were plump and generously filled, the freshly ground coffee was incredibly aromatic, and even the fruit was neatly cut and arranged, truly fresh, not like those wilted fruits that have been sitting out all day ๐Ÿ‰ The detail that touched me the most was that the front desk knew it was my birthday (I mentioned it when filling out my check-in info). That evening, they sent up a small box of handmade cake and a handwritten card. The handwriting was a bit wobbly, but it was incredibly warm and heartfelt. This kind of thoughtful, understated care is a hundred times more pleasant than flashy marketing. The value for money is truly excellent. It's perfect for both business trips and a quick weekend city getaway. I've already recommended it to colleagues who travel frequently in my department. Next time I'm in this city, I'm definitely staying here again! ๐Ÿ‘

Location is absolutely perfect. Very well connected with 4 metros stations nearby. Room is bigger than average in Tokyo. Staff was helpful. They have small kids corner so our 5 year old can play a bit while we were waiting at reception. Lots of food options nearby, it is a busy area late night but we did not hear much noise. Rooms has windows however those are facing the wall of the next building and it is kind of dark even with curtains open. We stayed there initially for 4 nights and then decided to extend for another 2 night as we liked the place.

Room was clean, little bit smaller for European standards, but manageable. Air Conditioner and one window to air the room. Good location to start trips for whole Tokyo.

Every time I go to Tokyo, I always stay at this hostel because the location is super close to the station. There are lots of street food options and 7/11s around, plus they have a washing machine, dryer, and best of all, a sauna! ๐Ÿคฉ

This hotel is conveniently located near Ueno Station. As it's a capsule hotel, there might be some inconveniences, but it's well-maintained. The hot spring is a definite plus.
