This was the fifth hotel on my trip to Switzerland. It's two bus stops from the train station, but conveniently located right by the stop, so getting there wasn't an issue. The hotel clearly exudes a rich history and old-world charm, with its luxurious European-style decor. I had a bit of trouble initially finding the right entrance and the front desk within the building. I'd actually booked a city view room, but the front desk upgraded me to a stunning lake view room – seriously, you *must* book a lake view! The terrace views were absolutely breathtaking!! The room itself wasn't huge, but it did have air conditioning. The bathroom was a tad small, mainly due to a large, rather useless cabinet taking up unnecessary space.

1 of the most grand & luxurious hotels I've stayed in Switzerland. Very international standard.
The room is very comfortable & very high end. They gave complimentary chocolates, toothbrushes (the only hotel that provided these in the whole of my Switzerland trip) & Dyson hairdryer.
The service from the staffs here is top notch!
The spa is the best quality! My wife & I really enjoyed our time using the sauna, steam room & relaxation area. We went back twice.
Also celebrated my wife's birthday at Minamo Restaurant. Best Japanese Omakase dinner we ever had. My wife & I discussed on how are we ever gonna look at Japanese food the same ever again.

Guest UserA very nice hotel, right next to the Shui Ta Hua Bridge. It's also not far from the train station, about a 5-7 minute walk. The breakfast was delicious, probably the best I've had in the past two weeks. Although the variety wasn't huge, everything was exquisite.

The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the basic necessities, making it a good choice for business accommodation. However, our booking included dinner, but the front desk couldn't find it... Luckily, I asked what time dinner was during check-in, otherwise, it would have been a wasted trip for dinner.

petter62First off, the location isn't too far from Lucerne train station. We had a Swiss Pass, so we could take the bus for free. We rode one stop, got off, crossed a road, and turned left – super convenient! Many bus routes pass by, and Chapel Bridge is just a walk away. The hotel upgraded us to a deluxe double room, which was much larger. There was plenty of space for luggage, and it didn't feel cramped at all. The room was clean, and they provided two large bottles of water daily, which was enough for our needs. Everything was great, and the only reason I didn't give full marks was the extra tax charged, as others have mentioned. Initially, the front desk staff was polite. When I showed them my booking confirmation, pointing out that the tax on the order differed from what I actually paid, they looked at it for a while, then unhappily replied, 'I don't know.' I ended up contacting Ctrip customer service. They told me they'd contacted the hotel but couldn't negotiate. Finally, Ctrip customer service said they would compensate the difference with points, which arrived quickly – kudos to Ctrip! Many people have brought up this tax issue, and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Other hotels in Switzerland charged exactly what was stated on the booking. Only this hotel charged differently. Although it wasn't a lot of money, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also, someone mentioned a 100 CHF deposit per day, which they indeed charged. When I checked out, I specifically asked when it would be refunded, and the front desk said the same day, which it was. In Lucerne, there's a Chinese restaurant called No. 8 that serves delicious Chinese food, completely authentic to domestic tastes. The owner is also very nice and polite.

It's okay to stay overnight within 10 minutes walk from Lucerne Station. It's close. Good to carry a suitcase. It is a good place to leave your luggage before check-in. And on the first floor, we had a restaurant, and they gave us a restaurant coupon, and they didn't use it.
There was no electric pot in the room. I think there was a coffee machine.
When you go out, it's good to go to the Capel Bridge right in front of you. There is Starbucks next to it.

JiyufeifeiThree stops from the train station, or a 20-minute walk. Breakfast is a self-service buffet with a good variety of options and tasty food. The downside is that the facilities are a bit old, possibly due to the location. The bathtub is quite vintage, and the light switches also have an old-fashioned feel, as do the bedside lamps. The bed is a bit old too, and the room has poor soundproofing. There was a tour group in the middle of the night, and one of the older women's voices was deafening. Given the economical price, sometimes you can accept these things when considering the value.

Anonymous UserA very clean castle hotel with a classic feel. The toiletries are also British brands. The breakfast is satisfactory. The location is excellent and you can overlook the whole city. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. It gave me a very good and warm feeling. If there is another chance, I will bring my family here again.

Agnes29The hotel is a good budget option in Lucerne. The location is convenient, with easy access to the train station and city attractions. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful. The main downside is that the rooms are quite small, and the facilities are basic, but this is expected for a budget hotel. Overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for travelers who plan to spend most of their time exploring the city rather than staying in the hotel.
