Stumbled upon this guesthouse online and decided to check it out before the May Day holiday rush. I was initially worried it might be a 'seller's show' (looks better in pictures than in real life), but it turned out to be 100% accurate to what was posted! Overall, a great experience. **Environment:** The guesthouse is set up like an estate, offering good privacy, so you're not disturbed by non-hotel guests or road noise. **Facilities:** The infinity pool in the room seems to circulate filtered seawater, which was very clean. It's perfect for taking photos at night when the lights are on, but it does shut off at 12 AM. There's also an outdoor pool on the first floor facing the sea. The minibar and fridge drinks in the room are complimentary, and all the amenities are of good quality. **Service:** The hotel staff were incredibly attentive. Right after booking, I immediately received a call from the owner. After adding them on WeChat, they confirmed my arrival time and whether I wanted the pool pre-filled, etc. Throughout my stay, I felt that all the staff had a great attitude. This is also a pet-friendly establishment. If you bring a pet, they provide a pet amenities kit with pee pads, diapers, disposable bowls, chew toys like Boryeongdan, and more. I brought my own dog bed, and they mentioned they also offer small beds. However, there's an additional cleaning fee for pets, which I didn't see on the booking page and only found out about upon arrival.

The room was great, with 270-degree sea views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. It was clean and hygienic, with no strange odors. However, housekeeping was often quite late; we'd often come back from being out and the room still hadn't been cleaned, so we frequently had to remind them. Also, there was a fishy smell from a trash can in the hallway that wasn't dealt with for two days, but it was quickly resolved after we reported it.

On my first day in Shantou, I chose this guesthouse near MixC. The location is truly excellent and incredibly convenient. The moment I stepped into the room, I was amazed by the owner's design. The whole place embraces Wabi-sabi aesthetics, with thoughtful design touches everywhere. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. The mattress was incredibly comfortable; lying on it just made all the day's fatigue disappear. Before bed, I had a soak in the bathtub, which was absolutely wonderful. Plus, the room's soundproofing was superb, ensuring a fantastic night's sleep 💤. The natural lighting in the room was really great, with the morning sun streaming onto the bed. I especially loved the tea space; in the morning, I'd go make myself a cup of coffee. It was perfect for emptying my mind and enjoying the moment. The hotel provided breakfast vouchers that could be used at a nearby restaurant. I chose the Cheung Fun, and the place was packed with locals, making the taste very authentic. Highly recommend the Chao Hong Ji City Hotel! The room was brightly lit with excellent natural light, and meticulously clean. You can enjoy the bay views right from your bed. The room also came with a Kung Fu tea set, which was a lovely touch and very characteristic of the Chaoshan region. The service was attentive, and any requests were handled promptly. It's conveniently located for walks and visiting exhibitions. The Chaoshan snacks for breakfast were authentic and delicious. The environment was quiet and peaceful. It's perfect for both tourism and short stays. My overall experience was very satisfying.

Found a gem in Shantou! Staying at the Bamboo Rhyme National Style Hotel is so healing ✨ Who's still blindly searching for hotels in Shantou?! I extended my stay at this DIOTEL Chao Hotel for two nights straight, I just didn't want to leave! 👍 As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by bamboo 🎋-themed decor, a perfect blend of national trend and new Chinese style. The turquoise green hues look fresh and clean, while the vintage wall lamps and landscape murals create an incredible ambiance. Every photo you take here turns out beautifully! The room space is huge, and the floor-to-ceiling windows provide amazing natural light. Sunlight softly streams in through the sheer curtains. Just flopping onto the sofa with a hot drink is incredibly relaxing 🍵🫖. The bedding is super soft, and the mattress firmness is just right. After a long day of exploring Chaoshan and trying snacks, my legs were aching, but I just laid down and slept soundly until morning! When I had some free time, I even got to experience making intangible cultural heritage Red Peach Kueh (Hong Taoguo) ♥️ by hand: kneading the dough, filling it, and pressing the patterns – I did it all myself. After it was cooked and steamed, I brought it back to my room, truly immersing myself in the local Chaoshan vibe! I absolutely loved the small round table; it was perfect for laying out all the local snacks I bought to slowly enjoy. Plus, thoughtful details like a makeup mirror and smart devices are all provided, making for a worry-free and comfortable stay. To all the ladies visiting Shantou, just book this place with your eyes closed! The environment is quiet and so aesthetically pleasing. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. Our sea-view room offered a stunning panorama, and the location was super convenient for getting around. The smart facilities were easy to use, and breakfast was delicious. When my child got an upset stomach late at night and we needed to go to the hospital, the hotel provided incredibly thoughtful assistance.

I'm writing this review a month after checking out, because just thinking about it still makes me angry 😤! Room: First, let's talk about the room layout. I booked a tatami room thinking it would be good for storing things. I arrived in Shantou late at night, and after checking in, I opened the room door to find a mirror directly facing the entrance (with a small spotlight above it). All the fatigue from driving for several hours instantly vanished – it was horrifying! What kind of designer puts a mirror facing the door? Later, I realized it was probably because the room was small and there was nowhere else to put the mirror. The entire room didn't even have a proper desk, just a very small low table, about 20-30 cm high. After putting a tissue box on it, it was hard to even eat takeout. There was no space for laptops, tablets, or personal items, so I had to put them on the wooden shelf above the water kettle. The entire room only shared one trash can with the toilet area… The smart features of the toilet were all in useless places; it didn't have heating or a bidet, just a motion-sensing lid opener? Every time I went to the shower, the toilet lid would open automatically 😂. For a hotel that costs several hundred yuan, they use 'Bing Lu' mineral water, which even the Orange hotel two blocks away doesn't use anymore. The room came with a coffee machine, but no milk or sugar, which is unfriendly to those who like sweets. Now, for the main reason I felt compelled to write this review. I'm a woman with rather dry hair, reaching about my waist, so conditioner is a must after washing. When I went to use the conditioner after washing my hair, it looked like there was still some left, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't pump any out. The nozzle and bottle were in one piece and couldn't be twisted open. The frustration and anger at that moment were immense! 😤😤 This led to my hair getting tangled, and it took a long time to sort out, ruining my mood for the whole day. Do they really need to be *that* economical? Leaving so little in the bottle just for show? Also, the hotel is truly economical; the elevator doesn't have air conditioning. At around 9 AM, I took the elevator, and there was a very strong smell of sweat inside. There must have been workers who had done a lot of strenuous work and then took the elevator, and the smell was all trapped inside. It was truly awful 🤢. It really doesn't feel like an international brand hotel. Perhaps the Wyndham next door would offer a much better experience.

Right downstairs is a food street, yet the room was surprisingly quiet, with soundproofing better than expected. The room was clean, and all appliances worked properly. Overall, it's great value for money.

The Golden Leaf Hotel specially selected by the Shuangzhong Cultural Festival, the hotel is in a good location, and the team passes by the cross road in front of the hotel. Old hotel, good service, a pleasant stay.

非常滿意的一次旅行！房間空間大，私密性好，全屋智能太友好了！還有投影儀，呆在房間看電影都是一種享受！酒店還配有恆温泳池，樓上樓下兩層，私隱性好，水温合適，孩子非常喜歡，來回在裏面玩了一個多小時，解放了帶娃的我們！民宿管家的服務非常周到，會特意根據我們的時間合理安排早餐的用餐時間！店裡還有烤肉，孩子游完泳，我們在荔枝樹下吃烤肉，度假的鬆弛感拉滿！
