Yyangling88Yunju is a Jinjiang brand hotel, not just a regular guesthouse. The lobby and rooms are elegantly designed, comfortable, and fresh. This time, I stayed in a Muyun Seaview Room. Although it was only a partial sea view, the room was very spacious with a good view. The layout and decor were aesthetically pleasing, and the bedding was comfortable. There was a slight air conditioner noise, but the soundproofing was good. All the hotel staff were very enthusiastic and professional, especially Arsen at the front desk. There was a complimentary afternoon tea, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. It offered a variety of dishes including stir-fries, congee, noodles, and small wontons, all of which tasted great. The service standards could be slightly improved.

SShentiegenTraveling to the Chaoshan area, we found this hotel, which seems to be the best and newest five-star chain in the region. First, the good points: the room was cleaned quite well, and the surrounding malls and food delivery options were pretty convenient. The facilities weren't particularly outstanding. Currently, the view downstairs is still a construction site, but it should be decent once finished.
❌ What to watch out for is that the ventilation in this hotel is really poor. Before checking in, we were asked if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking room, and we chose non-smoking. One evening, we had a barbecue in the room. After eating and tidying up, we put the rubbish outside the door. Despite there being a sign in the room indicating a fresh air system, the smell lingered for a long time. We called the front desk to ask them to open the window, but were firmly told we could only open it for half an hour or use an air purifier, with the reason given that opening the window might damage the room equipment.
Firstly, shouldn't the hotel state this in the check-in instructions? The staff's tone shouldn't be so aggressive. If they had said something like, 'it's quite humid, we're concerned you might catch a cold,' or 'it's humid, we're worried about wetting the bedding and affecting your rest,' it would have been more acceptable. Secondly, if the ventilation in a non-smoking room is this bad, I can't imagine how people in smoking rooms manage to sleep. If the windows can't be opened, shouldn't every room be equipped with an air purifier from the start?
More and more people are choosing to visit Chaoshan. As the newest five-star hotel, if they want to attract more guests, I feel there's room for improvement in service. For example, one evening, one of the food deliveries was completely upside down inside the robot, with all the soup spilling out. They could pay attention to such details. In terms of hardware, they could also upgrade things like the hairdryer, kettle brand, and consider installing smart toilet seats.

🚗 The location is absolutely fantastic! Just a 5-minute walk to MixC Shopping Mall, so you don't need a taxi for shopping or grabbing souvenirs.
🍝 For authentic local food in the evening, it's a pleasant 15-minute stroll to Longyan South Road, or you can head straight to Zhujiang Road Food Street, a favorite among locals. You can feast on dried noodles and kway teow soup for just a few dollars per person. No worries about late-night cravings here.
⛲️ Whether you're heading to the Small Park or other scenic spots, taxis are super convenient. A transportation-lover's dream!
👍 My first impression upon entering was ”clean and comfortable.” No over-the-top decor, just micro-cement walls paired with natural wood furniture, giving it a wonderfully fresh look.
💯 The rooms are fully equipped: ample heating, quick hot water, a user-friendly smart toilet, and even a washer-dryer combo. This is incredibly convenient for families with kids or guests staying for a few days.
☕️ The common area is perfect for unwinding. Grab a free coffee or pick up a book and relax. When you don't feel like going out, just hang out here – it's much more pleasant than being cooped up in your room.
This place is suitable for couples, friends on a photoshoot trip, or family vacations. The bathtubs in the rooms with a view are great for a relaxing soak, washing away all the travel fatigue.

The little one loves the beach, and we adults prefer newer hotels, so we skipped the old town and booked the Chao Hong Ji City Hotel. The front desk service was excellent; they arranged a room with a sea view for us, which instantly lifted our spirits. Although there was a slight odor in the room on the first day, after we reported it, the staff immediately moved us to another room. They also brought us earplugs for two consecutive days, and I feel a bit bad for troubling them so much, but I'm incredibly grateful to the staff. The breakfast was simple but very distinctive, with delicious粿条 (Guo Tiao) and great coffee. This trip to Shantou was fantastic, and half the credit goes to the hotel. It allowed us to experience a different side of Shantou's scenery and service. Oh, and the Binhai Avenue is right downstairs, perfect for a stroll, and it's about a 20-minute drive to Golden Coast. It's ideal for friends who want to see the sea. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit!

This hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of many popular attractions, and very convenient for transport. The room was clean and hygienic, the bedding was soft, and there were no strange odors. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet. The bathroom facilities were complete, and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local specialty snacks, which tasted great. The staff were warm and attentive, and even provided a travel guide. It offers incredible value for money, highly recommended to anyone planning a trip here!

The panoramic view perfectly captured the vast ocean, and I could clearly see the complete townscape of the island's center at eye level, along with the full view of the coastal pier. It was also at an ideal height to watch the entire spectacular sunset, and the staggered windmills on the sea were perfectly framed. The room was clean, bright, and had excellent natural light. The high-quality bedding was neither too soft nor too firm, suitable for all types of guests. The smart controls on the floor were convenient, and the viewing balcony was at a great height for a soak while enjoying the scenery – an absolutely fantastic experience.
