Pondok Santi Estate is truly an exceptional place to stay. We stayed at Pondok Santi Estate in Gili Trawangan for four nights, and from the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The level of service is outstanding — a true 5 out of 5 — and the experience feels much more like a five-star luxury resort rather than a hotel. Every detail is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is impeccable, and the staff is attentive without ever being intrusive. The restaurant experience deserves special praise. The food quality, presentation, and service were consistently excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight of our stay — fresh, delicious, and served in a peaceful, beautiful setting that made every morning feel special. What truly sets this resort apart is the warmth and professionalism of the team. From the room staff to the restaurant team, everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. Personally, Gili Trawangan itself is not a destination that impressed me greatly. However, Pondok Santi Estate completely transformed our experience and made the island a place I would happily return to again — specifically because of this resort. We feel very fortunate to have stayed here and are deeply grateful for such a memorable and high-quality experience. Pondok Santi Estate is a true sanctuary of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality, and we would not hesitate to return.

A Magical 50th Birthday Celebration at The Oberoi, Lombok I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Lombok from 8th to 10th September, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable holidays of my life. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team made us feel truly special, welcoming us with warmth and professionalism. The room service and housekeeping were impeccable—every request was met with a smile and executed flawlessly. What truly elevated the experience was the extraordinary hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration unforgettable. I was surprised with beautiful room decorations, and during dinner, they arranged heartfelt birthday greetings, a live band, and even fireworks to mark the occasion. Every detail was handled with care and precision, making me feel incredibly valued and celebrated. The spa treatments were sublime, offering the perfect balance of relaxation and indulgence. Every team member—from the spa to the restaurant—was genuinely committed to making our stay exceptional. Thank you to the entire Oberoi Lombok team for creating such a magical experience. You turned a milestone birthday into a cherished memory that I will treasure forever.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the beachfront with private sun loungers. The staff are welcoming, and there's a tap outside each villa to rinse off sand after the beach. We were greeted wonderfully and checked in immediately as our room was ready. They promptly brought welcome drinks and cold towels. Regarding the downsides: there are no disposable toothbrushes or body lotion. The water isn't in disposable bottles but in a carafe that you have to refill yourself in the lobby. The room is very dark with insufficient lighting. The windows aren't airtight, leading to high street noise, especially when the call to prayer starts at night. The refrigerator is also very noisy. The air conditioner is positioned to blow directly onto the bed, so we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed. The AC is also loud. There were strange worm-like caterpillars crawling in the bathroom and room. There are no power outlets near the beds. Breakfast is à la carte, with an additional buffet offering vegetables, fruits, cheese, cold cuts, and pastries. The breakfast food isn't very good; poached eggs were overcooked. A plus is that you can order several dishes from the menu. The latte coffee was very bitter, and I had to add milk myself. I believe the price for this hotel is too high. The only plus is the location – it's conveniently situated a 10-minute walk from the port and has a beach spot where you can see turtles.

The hotel was excellent. The facilities are beautiful, and the setting is absolutely stunning, very peaceful and relaxing. The hotel offers a wide range of services, including a restaurant, spa, excursions, and transportation options, all of which were of excellent quality. The beach is beautiful and directly connected to the hotel, with complimentary sun loungers available for guests. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would like to thank the entire team for their kindness and professionalism. The only point to consider is if you are traveling solo. Most excursions require a minimum of two participants, and the hotel does not currently offer group tours that solo travelers can join, which I found a little disappointing. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would happily stay here again.

This stay was much more than I expected. I originally booked this hotel as a last-minute emergency for one night, but I ended up wishing I had booked my entire three-day stay here! What stood out: A Special Shoutout to ”Superman”: I have to give a special mention to my driver, Superman. He was absolutely incredible! From the very first moment I met him, I knew I was going to fall in love with my stay at this hotel. He made everything feel seamless and welcoming. The Room & View: The room was incredibly spacious. Even though I booked a garden view, I was given a generous upgrade to a partial ocean view. From the beautiful bathroom to the balcony, the scenery was breathtaking. Exceptional Service: The service went above and beyond. They contacted me via WhatsApp and were extremely flexible in helping me book a private tour for the same day. The Experience: They arranged a pickup for me directly from the Lombok port. I rented a GoPro through them for the tour, and despite the rain, the team was so kind and accommodating. Dining: I had a delicious dinner, and the breakfast the next morning was outstanding with an incredible view. Everyone at the hotel was wonderful and the attention to detail was amazing. I truly regret not staying here for my whole trip. Highly recommended!

This is a decent hotel for a very quiet and relaxed getaway. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. The hotel tries to project excellent service; staff will even place napkins on your lap during breakfast, yet dirty plates might remain on the table until the end of your meal. Speaking of breakfast, it's à la carte. My partner and I didn't find it tasty. The choices are limited: either eggs or something sweet like waffles/granola. The natural juice is diluted and sugary. The coffee, however, is not bad. The room is small but everything is convenient. The outdoor shower is a definite highlight! Regarding the sea – they say you can't swim there. But if you go right from the hotel, opposite the buoy, there's a sandy entry. Grab your masks and go for it! You'll find turtles, fish – everything. The pools are good, large, and deep. The sunset needs no review; it's magnificent! There are cafes nearby where you can eat. The food is tasty and without any surprises.

Excellent hotel with a very diverse and delicious breakfast. The staff are pleasant and kind. The hotel grounds are large and clean. The rooms are cozy and have everything you need. I loved everything about it, and if I return, it will only be to this hotel!

The hotel was excellent...rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious and accommodating for our group of 8. The pool area was great with sun lounges. Location is very central to the port, local restaurants and hiring/booking options. We didn't eat at the restaurant but drinks service was great. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Gili T! The pool is fantastic, the food is incredibly tasty, and the staff are truly amazing always attentive and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I'll definitely be coming back!

Mixed feelings The room I initially booked (paid extra for AC and hot water) was just dirty and I could not control the AC bc remote wasn’t working so it was always on I could clearly see that no one had cleaned it (see first three pictures) and tbh bathroom felt unsafe with electric cables next to shower I asked to change and they tried to give to charge me extra for another room - I told them either I have what I paid for (AC and clean bedsheets) either it’s ok they pay me back and I leave The staff said I’d need to talk to the manager and when I said ok bring me the manager they never got them and offered me third room without paying extra (feels dishonest that they didn’t show me this one first) Bedsheets were okayish (so many weird stains, see pictures) but this one had no hot water - and they clearly said that I got downgraded. They wanted me to pay extra for the upgrade but do you think they paid me back the difference for the downgrade? Of course not (feels dishonest to charge extra for things you paid for initially but no pay back when you provide less than was paid for) I don’t know how much a hotel like this needs a pool (which was really nice by the way) when they’re so close to the beach. Maybe they should put the pool budget into clean rooms and hot water lol
