It was great because it was very close to the Chamartín line and away from the noise and dust of the construction work at Chamartín Station. The breakfast was very good, and there was always something for everyone, so you didn't want for anything. The buffet was very good, and one of the receptionists was especially friendly. The pool was great, and the rooms were very comfortable. Plus, the windows closed very well. We both think we'll definitely stay here again. We didn't know the default reservation was for just one person... so we had to pay an extra fee once we arrived.

The Hotel Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto, Affiliated by Meliá, is a clearly positioned 4-star airport hotel🏨. Its main draw is the complimentary airport shuttle service, catering primarily to travelers needing a short stay near the airport.

Key features:

*   **Target Audience**: Designed as an overnight/transit hotel for airport users, part of the Meliá Hotels International group. Very close to the airport and offers a free shuttle; it's quite a distance from the city center.
*   **Pros**: The free airport shuttle is incredibly convenient. Rooms are relatively spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Breakfast is a buffet with a good variety of options. Ideal for early morning flights (shuttle service starts at 4:30 AM). The beds are very comfortable.
*   **Points to Note**: The hotel opened quite a while ago (1975), so the decor is a bit dated, and some room facilities show signs of wear and tear. Shuttle seats can be limited, so booking in advance and being on time is crucial. Private parking is available for a fee (approx. 10 Euros per day).

**Free Airport Shuttle**: The shuttle service is provided as requested, especially vital for early morning flights, but it's essential to confirm and book with the hotel in advance.

**Accommodation Experience: Room & Breakfast**: Rooms are quite spacious and clean. The buffet breakfast offers a wide selection, but it comes at an additional cost (approx. 20 Euros per person).

**Amenities**: As an airport hotel, in addition to the shuttle, it features a restaurant, a bar, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a fitness center, meeting the basic needs for short stays.

**Important Considerations:**

1.  **Functional Transit Hotel**: Its greatest value lies in its convenience for catching flights. Don't set your expectations too high for cutting-edge facilities or a resort-like experience.
2.  **Utilize the Shuttle Wisely**: Be sure to book your round-trip airport shuttle seats at check-in or beforehand via email/phone, and be in the lobby 5-10 minutes early. Some guests have had to pay exorbitant taxi fares for missing the shuttle (e.g., 20 Euros for a 3-minute ride).
3.  **Renovation Status**: The hotel was renovated in 2000, so some facilities might appear a bit dated, but overall maintenance is decent.

**💡 Alameda Meliá Hotel vs. Hotel Nuevo Boston**: Both offer good service.

An absolutely impressive hotel! I loved the gorgeous décor in both the room and the shared areas. The breakfast was outstanding — fresh fruit, smoked salmon, a wonderful bakery station, and even delicious Spanish specialties like ham and chorizo. From the moment you step into the hotel to the moment you enter your room, everything feels truly luxurious. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough!

The decoration is quite new, but it's the first time I've encountered a suite without a mini bar.

The facilities are a bit old, but the price performance is very high. Unfortunately, there is no swimming pool, and the children are not happy enough. Parking is not very convenient, but breakfast is very good! The hotel is at a great location, and there are big brands nearby.

Overall the room was ok. But I couldn't accept that the hotel staff opened the door by swiping the card without knocking or asking.

Beautiful hotel, warm and considerate service staff, delicious breakfast, great location, within walking distance to the Royal Palace of Madrid, Puerta del Sol, and even Retiro Park. The car rental company has a store in the underground garage of Plaza de España. You can pick up the car there. It's only a 500-meter walk, everything is perfect, and it's worth coming back. That day I went to the rooftop swimming pool and unexpectedly met a handsome foreigner waiter who spoke Mandarin better than me😄. There was also a Chinese girl in the restaurant who was enthusiastic and capable; if the price is acceptable, there is nothing to worry about.

The room is clean and tidy, the service is warm and thoughtful, and it is not far from the Bernabéu, which is quite convenient. It is more suitable for business travel.

Hotel facilities including rooms were not great.
The breakfast buffet menu was the same during the stay (3 nights). 
There was no free bottled water during the stay, and the bottled water in the minibar in the room was paid (3.9 euro), but there was no price guide.

The overall style of the hotel is good, and the location is excellent, just near Plaza de España. The room is a little small. But for girls, the shower water is too small, and it is troublesome to wash your hair. The basin is also very inhumane, and the faucet is on the side, so it is inconvenient to wash your hands, face, and things, and the water will be everywhere. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the common varieties are available. The room type I booked can go to The Level Lounge from 13:00 to 21:00 every afternoon, with free snacks, desserts, ice cream and drinks.

Excellent location, bar and restaurant available (which is great as I met a local business partner there). Fully stocked minibar and 24 hour room service with a full menu, which I find a big plus especially as I find a lot of hotels don’t do it.

The location deserves another big plus, it has everything you need within walking distance.

I stayed for 6 days. Cleaning was arranged for the last few days, the breakfast ingredients were good, and the service was attentive. My biggest inconveniences were:

1. A king-size bed was provided as a double bed.

2. The breakfast selection was limited, a common problem abroad.

3. I booked through Ctrip, but they didn't issue an invoice. I need to contact Ctrip after I return. I haven't encountered a similar situation in other countries.

Yes , I found the accommodation, cleaning, food and reception of staff perfect .

Too many advantages: It's incredibly convenient to get to the beach; it's a 3-4 minute walk from the front of the hotel, and a 5-minute walk from the back. There are supermarkets: Spar, Eroski City, Lidl, and Rossmann drugstore.

Breakfast from 7-10 am is delicious and has a wide variety of items. After breakfast, there's refreshing lemonade and coffee available in the restaurant for guests to help themselves.

The gym downstairs is well-equipped, and there's a small swimming pool on the roof.

It's very quiet at night; the dim lighting is perfect for those sensitive to light. The air conditioning in the room is very cool; I usually have to turn it off because it's 35 degrees Celsius outside, but the room is always pleasantly cool. The toiletries are complete: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and hand cream/body lotion are all from Ritals Jing, and I love the scent. I'm very satisfied with the bed; I can't stand very soft beds because they make my back uncomfortable, but this hotel's bed is excellent. There are three types of pillows to choose from.

The hot water is great; showering is comfortable, unlike some reviews that mention no hot water.

The service staff I encountered were all very satisfactory, unlike some reviews that describe them as rude. From the front desk staff (Oscar was especially adorable; we saw him again when we checked out on the 7th day), to the housekeeping staff, and the restaurant staff (a very kind old gentleman cleared the dishes every morning), I would give full marks to all the staff we encountered during our 7 days and 6 nights!

The cabinet under the TV could be easily opened with a gentle push to reveal cups, a safe, and a mini-fridge. There was a hairdryer and a large plastic bag in the wardrobe drawer.

If I had to point out a few shortcomings, they would be:

1. They should learn from Chinese hotels; if they don't clean the room, they should at least provide two bottles of water. For environmental reasons, we only requested cleaning twice over 6 nights. We only received two small bottles of mineral water upon check-in on the first day. If we had booked 6 nights separately, wouldn't we have received 2 x 6 bottles? For €300 per night, they couldn't even afford a bottle of water.

2. The toilet paper was extremely thin, only one layer thick.

3. There was no toilet brush next to the toilet, which was very inconvenient.

This was a quick trip but the hotel was very nice inside. The room was great for and us and very comfortable with great views over the harbour. There was construction works happening on the outside (front) but that didn’t really matter to us as we were only there for the weekend. The pool was a nice temperature on a hot day and although we couldn’t get a sunbed (arrived at the pool around lunch time) we had a lovely breakfast and the ice cold beer definitely helped us to relax. 

The nightlife around the hotel can be a little loud due to the number of sports/Irish bars near by and it made the walk home from the city interesting. However the atmosphere was good and we didn’t mind at all. If you had kids then it could be a little intimidating I would think.

We also checked in very late (after midnight) which wasn’t a problem at all and we got our room straight away

Overall we’d definitely consider staying here again.

It is a hotel converted from a private residence. In an alley in the city center, take a break from the noise. The service staff is very enthusiastic. There is a small roof, surrounded by houses, can't see the scenery, and of course I can't see the sea. The room is too small, the corridor is small, the elevator, lobby, and restaurant are small. There are few varieties of breakfast. The drying rack is very good, and the wet clothes are dried in an hour. The USB interface has 4 ports, 2 sockets, plus boiling water and 2 sockets for the computer can also be plugged in, and there are 4 sockets. There is a free spa, not going. In general, there is a large distance from the usual five-star standard.
