This hotel is located near Higashi-Ginza station by Hibiya Line.   It’s very convenient to get around Tokyo Area by subway.   The room is relatively large for a Japanese hotel, I could open two large suitcase in my room. I chose 180cm wide bed which is a king size bed.  It can fit a family of 3 with a small children.  It also comes with good size refrigerator with 2 free bottles of water daily. Room is clean and bathroom is large enough.  This hotel is also equipped with large Japanese style bath at 2F which opens until 1am.  Coin laundry is also available at 2F.  Customer service is standard.  You can use their machine to check-in and check-out if you don’t see anyone at the front desk,  There are many convenient stores and restaurants nearby.  Overall, it’s a really nice mid size hotel.

The location is great, with direct JR line access to most major stations. The only slight inconvenience is crossing the overpass if you're returning late. The room was well-equipped, even with a humidifier, and the front desk offers free coffee. I highly recommend trying out their hot spring bath – it's incredibly relaxing. There's a Lawson right outside the back door of the hotel, as well as a 7-Eleven, supermarket, drug store, and Don Quijote nearby. The supermarket even offers discounts on fried food and sushi after 8 PM, which is worth checking out. I stayed for 5 nights and was very satisfied. I'd definitely consider this hotel again on my next trip to Tokyo.

The environment is very clean, and the bedding is super comfortable. It's really convenient to pick up toiletries downstairs. Although the room is small, it has everything you need. We chose this hotel because my partner smokes, and it's one of the few smoking rooms available in Tokyo. The location is, of course, incredibly convenient. We booked a car for 10 days, but didn't use it at all for two days because we were shopping in Ginza. We paid a higher price than usual, but the location and comfort are excellent, and the room is clean. I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel's location is super convenient; you just cross the pedestrian bridge from Ueno Station to get there. The staff at check-in were very welcoming and helped me use the self-service machine. The breakfast area is small, but the food tastes pretty good. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Ueno.

The location of this hotel is really good. It’s above a metro, connected to 2 shopping malls, and a walking distance to a building with lots of food options. There is also a bus that goes directly to the fish market.
However, the bathroom has an unbearable smell we had to endure even when we shower. On the bright side, it’s only 37000 yen for 2 nights. It’s still worth staying.

Traveling with a baby, the hotel offers cribs, which you can arrange with them in advance. The hotel is also very conveniently located near the subway, making it super easy to get to the city center and surrounding areas! There's a coffee shop right across from the hotel where you can grab breakfast. The hotel's facilities and environment are pretty good and quite new. It's also very close to Tokyo Tower! We had breakfast at the hotel one day and at the coffee shop across the street on another.

The hotel is right in Ginza, so transportation is very convenient. I specifically booked it because I saw online that the express train from Haneda Airport takes 25 minutes directly to the hotel entrance.

However, it seems the express train doesn't actually stop there. I ended up taking three more subway stops and walking for ten minutes to reach the hotel.

So, if you're looking to shop, staying here is very convenient. But if you're traveling for other reasons or buying merchandise, you might want to consider other hotels.

The hotel's location is excellent, roughly a ten-minute walk from Hamamatsucho, Shiodome, and Shimbashi stations, making it very convenient for trips to Odaiba, central Tokyo, or nearby cities like Yokohama and Kamakura. It seems to be in a business district, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast is a mix of Italian and Japanese; my son loved the pizza 🍕. I noticed locals enjoying rice with curry for breakfast, which is very Japanese, and it actually tasted quite good. The downside is that the rooms are genuinely small and a bit pricey, with three beds practically filling the space. We encountered a wonderful Japanese woman on staff who was incredibly attentive. Seeing we had a child and wanted a room with a Tokyo Tower view, and as it wasn't possible that day, she left a note for us and specifically arranged for us to move to a higher-floor room with a Tokyo Tower view the next day. Thumbs up for that!

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Otemachi Station, which is like a central hub with easy access to many different subway lines. The hotel is situated in an upscale office district, so you get to witness the bustling commuters, which is quite a unique sight in itself! The hotel has a very Japanese feel – quiet and with excellent amenities (the hairdryer is comparable to a Dyson). The humidifier works wonders, making the room incredibly comfortable. It seems there's no Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, which is a minor inconvenience. You can ask the front desk for toiletries, including small skincare packets, etc.

The rooms are on the smaller side and can be quite dark; guests expecting a bright and airy ambiance might find it unsuitable. Its overall location in the heart of Nihonbashi is excellent, with subway exits conveniently close. The neighborhood boasts numerous highly-regarded local restaurants, though they tend to be pricey and often require advance reservations. Breakfast is distinctive and offers a good variety, but be mindful of the closing time; arriving too late can negatively impact your experience as they close promptly. Check-in is handled on the 4th floor. Don't waste time at the ground-floor entrance, as that counter does not process check-ins. While there are several malls nearby, I'd recommend this hotel more for business travelers. The Oriental Culture Hotel is situated right next door, which might facilitate communication and networking for some.

Our absolute favorite hotel in Kyoto, Japan – we were extremely satisfied! Meals were super convenient with a convenience store and supermarket right outside the door, which we visited daily. The subway station was just a five-minute walk away. The hotel's hot spring was its most unique feature; it's so rare to find a hotel with one. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Kyoto.

This was our favourite hotel in Japan. 

The location is very central to Kyoto, but did not feel too crowded and overwhelming. It was very easy to get around Kyoto from this hotel, with a lot of train stations close by. 

The room was clean and bigger than most hotels I’ve stayed in during my trip to Japan. The finishes of the room are just gorgeous. It really feels like luxury. The smart TVs were a nice touch too. 

The amenities of the spa were really good, and I loved the extra feeling of security knowing women receive a women only key card and men receive a separate one. Nice touch having washers, dryers and vending machines too. 

The staff are kind and polite and are more than happy to assist you. Although I did find the self check-in a bit confusing - some translations were a bit off.  Regardless, I really recommend this hotel.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi Jingo-ji

A truly unique experience, only available at a hotel integrated with a temple, is the 'Morning Service Experience' (500 yen). Exclusively for guests, this Jodo-shu Buddhist service is held daily in the lobby. I received a paper detailing the service flow and participated from my seat. It was a refreshing and optional activity.

Second time staying at this hotel (so we forgot to take photos of the room). The location is great, just next to Kyoto Station. There is also a famous ramen shop nearby. Room is spacious (able to pop open 2 check-in luggage bags comfortably) & clean and the beds are combined super single, so we slept comfortably. Room was cleaned daily and they provided comfortable pajamas for sleeping. They also have a lounge area for snack and drinks. Would highly recommend this hotel!

I really loved this hotel. The facilities are very new and have an artistic flair – I really enjoyed the style! The rooms are also quite spacious, which is a rare find. The hotel's location is a tranquil oasis amidst a bustling area, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. You can pretty much walk to all the shopping you need, and there are some great local boutiques nearby that are fun to browse. There's also a subway station close by, so getting to further places or coming from Osaka isn't much hassle at all. Overall, it's pretty ideal!

The only thing is that breakfast is à la carte. The taste is decent, but the options are quite limited, maybe just four or five dishes. The buffet items were exactly the same every single day, and staying for four nights, I honestly got tired of it. Plus, freshly ground coffee might be an extra charge.

The service was incredibly attentive, and the hotel boasted a beautiful, authentic Japanese design. The room size was perfect, offering excellent value for money. Although the hotel had a Japanese onsen, my trip was a bit rushed, so I didn't get a chance to experience it. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Kyoto.

Highly Recommended Stay in Kyoto

I would like to strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto. The staff demonstrate exceptional professionalism and hospitality.

In particular, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Yuki, who assisted us with our check-in and kindly introduced many wonderful sightseeing spots and activities in Kyoto, as well as to Miss Tsai, a ********* staff member who supported us during check-out with great warmth and care. Their thoughtful service truly reflects the welcoming spirit of Kyoto and the hotel’s commitment to excellence.

I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the team members who bring guests happiness and satisfaction through their dedication. They truly deserve recognition and applause for their outstanding service.

Our two-night stay was far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

The hotel is only four stops from Fukuoka Airport, and it's just a few minutes' walk after you exit the station. Next door is the original Ichiran Ramen, and seriously, every time I pass by, I see a huge line of people! 😅 There are also yatai (food stalls) open nearby in the evening, so the location is great, very close to Tenjin and Hakata. The hotel rooms are a bit small and cramped. However, the large public bath on the top floor is a nice touch; you can relax and soak there every day after coming back. The breakfast has some unique local flavors, worth trying. It's also very quiet at night, which is great for rest.

The room was more spacious than expected with the huge king size bed which occupied the whole room, but still there was a space for a small table and two-seater sofa for tea and a quick desk work job. As the hotel was surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants, I had no trouble using my PC outside. Checking-out was automated and smooth. English speaking staff were very helpful but minimum. And the roof top baths (in and outside) were relaxing. There were coin operated laundry, microwave as if designed for long staying residents but no space for serious work or relaxing dining/tea space. Yet, the room rate was so good, I will definately stay again here.
