Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities.
Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied.
The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience.
Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient.
Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!

We arrived at the hotel later and the driver couldn't find the door and helped us find it, but after a while, a staff member ran down and asked if we had booked a room, really running! ! Then the driver parked the car, then helped us pick up our luggage, and ran up again! ! ! The service was so good that our whole family was stunned! !
Entering the hotel, the air conditioning is very good, because the outside is -10 degrees, but the interior is very warm, and not baked, so very comfortable, the room is not big, but with all the traditional Japanese room things, the furnishings are very beautiful, However, if the luggage is larger and more, it becomes very crowded, but actually feels like home.
Because one night two meals, so there is a full dinner breakfast, are exquisite kaiseki cuisine, each meal also have staff to the room in advance to lead us to the restaurant, their own room, no one disturbed.
The hot spring area has indoor and outdoor, not big, but enough, we soaked twice and did not bump into anyone, chartered, great! !
After check out, the staff bowed to not see our car! ! There is a traditional Japanese etiquette! ! !
We will definitely come back to experience this one! ! !

The location was perfect—close to major attractions and public transportation. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

GGuest UserI was very impressed by the connection between the movie-worthy old house and the modern Japanese-style hotel. Just staying here felt like an attraction in itself. However, the lighting was a bit dim at night and the lack of a drain in the bathroom floor was a bit inconvenient.

SSongrentoudehaopengyouสงกรานต์I went there from Otaru, and took the bus from Otaru Station to Onsen Minami for 410 yen.
Please note that the bus only runs once an hour. It is very inconvenient to live here without transportation. The small shop in the hotel only sells some snacks. No one takes DIDI taxi orders. The nearest convenience store is 30 minutes walk away😂
The room I stayed in probably has no shower because it is the cheapest. I have to take a bath in the big bath. Moreover, the aisle on this side does not have air conditioning and heating, and there is obviously a temperature difference with other places🙃
It is very convenient for people who specialize in skiing. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the ski resort across the street. After skiing, you can soak in the hot spring. It is a perfect day😆

DDouxingbaIt's quite close to the station, just a few hundred meters, so transportation is very convenient. It's also easy to get to Kawara Kawara and Niseko for skiing, as there's a bus stop just a few hundred meters away. The hotel offers free coffee, which is really nice.
