Hotels with Breakfast in Rayong City

How do I even begin! I went to Koh Samet with no expectations, but Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa is supposedly the second-best resort on the island. My overall impression wasn't great, mainly due to how the resort handled the broken air conditioning in our bungalow on the first day. We took a private car from downtown Bangkok to Ao Prao Pier (the hotel's private pier, which has its own lounge). Following the resort's email instructions, we boarded the 1:30 PM boat to the resort, which took about 15 minutes. The welcome drink upon arrival was quite good. The resort isn't very large, and there weren't many guests. When we discovered the AC was broken, we immediately contacted housekeeping. From housekeeping to engineering to the front desk, and then to Ctrip, we spent an hour in the sweltering room and outside before finally being moved to another room. It seemed like Ctrip had to intervene to resolve the issue before the front desk staff led us to our new room... The whole process was incredibly frustrating due to the heat! Later, the front desk found me on the beach and offered us an upgraded room. I went to see it but declined, as it was quite dark inside, and I prefer bright, airy rooms when I'm on vacation. She told me the room would be held for us if we changed our minds. Because I didn't move, the front desk came to find me again on the beach and offered a complimentary pizza as compensation. This proactive attitude was a definite plus. We stayed at Le Vimarn for three nights. The rooms are simple, Thai-style wooden bungalows. The 1.8-meter bed was just right for a family of three. The mini-bar is chargeable. If you're visiting Koh Samet, remember to bring a filtered shower head. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but it tasted good. We had dinner at Buzz once, and the food was good, but with a 10% service charge and 7% tax, it ended up being a bit expensive! The resort is a 15-minute drive from the main street (where the 7-Eleven is, 200 baht one-way). The front desk can arrange a taxi. Later, we rented a scooter, which we could park on a slope about a 2-minute walk from the front desk. I scraped my foot on a coral reef while swimming, and the front desk provided basic first aid. For the last two days, we stayed at Paradee Resort, which is a sister hotel to Le Vimarn, so they offered a free transfer. However, if you're traveling with kids, I'd highly recommend Paradee Resort – the environment, facilities, and staff are all much better.

Since we were traveling as a family and wanted to stay together, we ultimately chose this hotel. The service was truly excellent; the staff were very attentive and had a great attitude. We also tried the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was good and reasonably priced. In the evenings, there was a fire dance show. The hotel has a private beach with clear water and soft sand, which our kids absolutely loved. You could even see many fish in the sea. The hotel isn't on the main street, so it's about a 35-minute walk, making it quite quiet. I'd recommend renting a scooter. For going out at night, walking along the beach feels safer. Our family had a very relaxing vacation here!

“Good Location but NOT Good Service Mind” I’ve traveled to Koh Samed several times and usually like to stay at different hotels each time. I came across the good reviews of this hotel, so I decided to book it for my parents and me because the location is convenient. I’ve also visited the restaurant under the hotel several times for food and drinks. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The equipment in the room was quite old and rusty. At around 2 a.m., the hot-water pipe under the sink broke, causing hot water to splash over the toilet. We tried calling the hotel, but no one answered the phone, so we decided to walk to the reception. The way to the reception was very dark and quite scary. When we arrived, the reception was closed and there was no one around. Eventually, we found a security guard sitting near the beach and asked him for help. He came to check the issue and offered to move us to another room. However, we were extremely tired at around 3 a.m., so we told him that if the problem could be fixed, we would prefer to stay in the same room. When I checked out the next morning, I informed the female staff member at reception (the lady with glasses) about what had happened during the night. What really disappointed me was her first response. Instead of apologizing or asking what happened, she said with an annoyed expression: “He already offered to change the room for you, right?” I was honestly surprised by this response. As a customer, I wasn’t complaining about not being offered another room. I was simply informing the hotel about a serious issue that happened in the middle of the night and the fact that no one answered the hotel phone when we needed help. She then asked why I didn’t call the hotel. I explained that I had tried calling several times, but no one answered. She looked surprised by this, which made me wonder whether the hotel was even aware that the phone was not being answered. I would have been completely fine if she had simply apologized and explained what happened clearly. Unfortunately, her attitude and lack of empathy made the situation much worse. The location is good, and I’ve actually enjoyed visiting the restaurant here before. But good location and good food cannot make up for poor customer service, especially when a guest needs assistance in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, I definitely won’t come back to stay here again, and I’ll also reconsider visiting the restaurant. I gave 1 star on service for the staff who checked in us, she was friendly and helpful.

This is a newly opened, simple yet stylish hotel. The room was a decent size and very comfortable. It's a bit far from the center, so it's especially recommended for those who want to stay mostly at the hotel, read books, or relax quietly on the beach. The hotel's restaurant seemed to offer good value for money on food items. However, alcoholic beverages were a bit pricey, so I was glad I bought drinks near the port before heading back. If you plan on going out a lot for massages, restaurants, or activities, renting a scooter would make getting around much easier. Grab isn't available on the island, and transportation mainly relies on songthaews. Each ride costs 200 baht, and it takes a while for them to arrive after calling, so this hotel is better suited for those who prefer a relaxed stay.

Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. You can snorkel directly in front of the hotel, and there are more fish near the coral reefs, but I wouldn't recommend going there if the waves are big. It's best to wear long pants and diving socks to avoid scratches. The sand right outside is very fine and soft. Breakfast is served by the sea with ocean views. The bar street can get a bit noisy at night, so it might not be suitable for light sleepers, but since we usually go to bed late, it didn't bother us. A major plus is that the bedsheets are changed for every new guest. The room has many windows, making it bright and airy. The only downsides are that the shower only has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is a bit low. For shopping, try to go to the 7-Eleven on the main street, as the supermarket here is about a third more expensive. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The location was excellent—close to the beach and convenient for getting around. 6. There was a parking area available for motorbikes, which was very convenient. 7. There was a fire dance performance every day at 7:00 PM, which was entertaining and added to the overall atmosphere. 8.There are many kinds of one day tour provided, which is same price as other tour companies. 9.Just only 10mins walk from hotel to 7-11 Things to Improve: 1. Nothing. I had a great stay and was very satisfied with the overall experience.

It’s one of the great choices for a quick, quiet weekend escape in Samed. The other is Paradee. Overall, it’s a beautifully located resort far distance in a serene spot with lovely private rocky beach, but in terms of facilities and overall experience, it feels more like a solid 4-star resort rather than a true 5-star standard. I highly recommend booking directly with the resort if possible. Direct bookings include complimentary boat transfers to the island as well as land transfers from the pier to the resort, which saves a lot of hassle. One thing I noticed was the high proportion of foreign staff. It felt like the resort lost a bit of that local Thai touch you usually expect when holidaying on the islands.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were initially checked into a bungalow, which we didn't like – it was very dark and cramped. We requested to be moved to the main building. They put us on the first floor, which wasn't ideal, but it was okay. Everything in the room felt old, and during cleaning, the toiletries and tea weren't replenished; we had to ask for them. The breakfasts are good, and sometimes there's live music, which is a nice touch. There's also live music on the beach and a fire show in the evenings. The hotel is just a stone's throw away from 7/11. Overall, it's a decent hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place is very clean, conveniently located near the beach, and the staff is absolutely amazing, always friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back. Highly recommend this place!

The staff at the front desk were lovely. They spoke politely, gave good recommendations, and were always smiling. The kitchen staff were also very kind and provided excellent service. The hotel has comprehensive facilities, is easy to get to, close to everything, and safe. The hotel also offers motorcycle rentals, which I recommend arranging directly with them for convenience. I was very impressed! 💗✨🙏🏻
