"I've stayed on both the south and north sides of the island, and the advantages of Sacaya are clearly evident. Firstly, it's very close to the main street and 7-Eleven, making shopping, dining, and renting a scooter incredibly convenient, all within a few minutes' walk. Secondly, there are three pools: the leisure village resort pool and the beachfront pool, all perfect for a swim. Thirdly, it's very, very close to the beach. When I first booked, I couldn't tell the different room locations, but the bungalows and deluxe rooms seem to be the closest to the sea. Of course, it also depends on the angle; there are more reefs near the 'Love Tree' area and a long sandy beach near the bar/restaurant. Fourthly, there's a daily fire show and boat pick-up/drop-off service. Fifthly, the breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The service staff and the security guards across the street were all very friendly, smiling, and welcoming."

"The room is spacious and clean. The parking lot is plenty. There is no nearby convenience store but the hotel has provided basic foods and drink vendings. Overall stay is satisfied."

"This hotel has very clear pros and cons. 1. We booked a beach house, so as soon as we opened the door, we had direct access to the beach and the sea, which was super convenient for playing. 2. Although it's not a rocky beach, it's a resort cluster, so the people there are mostly staying nearby. This means it's not too crowded, offering more privacy, and there are a lot of European and American tourists. 3. The downsides are quite critical though. Our room was close to the beach and made of wood, so there were a lot of ants. Even with bug spray, it was no use, and we got bitten many times. 4. The location is also a major drawback; it's really far from the pier, and we couldn't rent a motorbike, making it very inconvenient to go out. We had to rely on the shops along the beach for anything we wanted to buy. It's not ideal if you want to explore the island."

"Even though Koh Samet isn't a very large island, after exploring a bit, my favorite spot was definitely the beach right in front of the hotel. The waves were gentle, the sand was clean, and it wasn't as crowded as Diamond Beach. While it's about 2.5 kilometers from the main street, the hotel front desk can arrange scooter rentals or help you call a songthaew for 200 THB one way. There's also a small pier directly in front of the hotel, so you can take a speedboat straight from Ban Phe Pier to the hotel for 300 THB one way. If you plan to use this service for a round trip, it's best to confirm the times with the hotel in advance. The hotel's breakfast selection was really limited, but honestly, that's pretty standard for the entire island. My family of three had a perfect 5-day stay here, and my child absolutely loved it. All the staff at the resort were very nice, especially the young man at the front desk who provided excellent service."

"An extra bed can be added, and the front desk charges 1500 THB, which includes breakfast for the extra guest. The hotel is right by a public beach and has its own bar, so the overall environment is quite good. However, the room facilities are mediocre; there are no disposable amenities like toothbrushes or combs. A 7-Eleven is very close, just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. But they don't provide plastic bags for shopping, so you'll need to bring your own."

"At first was skeptical to book because many reviews regarding climbing up hill, turned out it was not an issue for me, it’s a nicely paved easy climb however, it could be challenging if you have back or knee problems. My stay considered lucky and excellent to have met this front desk lady, she was undoubtedly friendly and helpful. Detached chalet so no worries about noise next door, but in general the resort is quiet, everyone minds their own business, with only bird chirping. The surrounding is very green with well maintained plants, an oasis and I like it. The facade of the chalets is modern and clean looking with clean white and black finish. Every chalet has a big balcony but be mindful of mosquitoes in the evening. Room was clean, beautiful ambiance lighting feel luxury, comfy bed, and bathroom was spacious with ambiance lighting that I could do push up and yoga, nice touch of wall and tiles’ colours in the bathroom too. Amenities such as toilet roll, dental kits, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided. Good water pressure TV comes with Thai channels only, not a problem for me as most of the time I’m on my phone and book. WiFi is strong and fast. The beach and the sea is clearly visible when walking down the stairs already, lovely! 1 beach towel is provided each guest per day. Privacy? Just close the curtain. 2 bottles of water and 3 in 1 coffee provided everyday, the water boiler was old but works well. 7-11/walking street within 7-10 minutes walk, from the pier within 15-20 minutes walk."

"“Good Location but NOT Good Service Mind” I’ve traveled to Koh Samed several times and usually like to stay at different hotels each time. I came across the good reviews of this hotel, so I decided to book it for my parents and me because the location is convenient. I’ve also visited the restaurant under the hotel several times for food and drinks. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The equipment in the room was quite old and rusty. At around 2 a.m., the hot-water pipe under the sink broke, causing hot water to splash over the toilet. We tried calling the hotel, but no one answered the phone, so we decided to walk to the reception. The way to the reception was very dark and quite scary. When we arrived, the reception was closed and there was no one around. Eventually, we found a security guard sitting near the beach and asked him for help. He came to check the issue and offered to move us to another room. However, we were extremely tired at around 3 a.m., so we told him that if the problem could be fixed, we would prefer to stay in the same room. When I checked out the next morning, I informed the female staff member at reception (the lady with glasses) about what had happened during the night. What really disappointed me was her first response. Instead of apologizing or asking what happened, she said with an annoyed expression: “He already offered to change the room for you, right?” I was honestly surprised by this response. As a customer, I wasn’t complaining about not being offered another room. I was simply informing the hotel about a serious issue that happened in the middle of the night and the fact that no one answered the hotel phone when we needed help. She then asked why I didn’t call the hotel. I explained that I had tried calling several times, but no one answered. She looked surprised by this, which made me wonder whether the hotel was even aware that the phone was not being answered. I would have been completely fine if she had simply apologized and explained what happened clearly. Unfortunately, her attitude and lack of empathy made the situation much worse. The location is good, and I’ve actually enjoyed visiting the restaurant here before. But good location and good food cannot make up for poor customer service, especially when a guest needs assistance in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, I definitely won’t come back to stay here again, and I’ll also reconsider visiting the restaurant. I gave 1 star on service for the staff who checked in us, she was friendly and helpful."

"Very chilled place. Nestled in a cove with lovely white sand beach. Rocky in some areas. A handful of bars. Not too busy. Lots of dogs on the beach. Might be a problem if you have kids that are scared of dogs. Breakfast nice. Hotel staff are very attentive. They arranged for someone to fix the A/C while we were there. Quiet. Location. Sounds of sea at night, which was very calming. Lovely location. Clean place with comfy beds. Not top end in terms of accommodation options, but certainly very pleasant and good value for money."

"This hotel has a fantastic beachfront location. We had a sea view, which was beautiful! The sound of the ocean didn't disturb our sleep. Music plays at a neighboring bar until midnight, but the hotel warned us, and we were fine with it. The room has a mini-bar, and they provide two bottles of water daily. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available, and the hotel provides fresh towels every day. For breakfast, there's not much beyond eggs; the rest was pork, pork with rice, soup, and noodles – basically, things that perhaps Chinese people eat in the mornings. At the end of our stay, our impression was soured by the fact that they tried to fine us 2000 baht for damaging the bedding because a little bit of eye shadow got on it. The hotel didn't even try to wash it but immediately issued a fine. In the end, we wiped it clean ourselves in a minute and didn't pay anything, but it definitely left a bad taste. So, be aware that the hotel might prepare such a 'surprise' for you at the end of your stay."

"Since we were traveling as a family and wanted to stay together, we ultimately chose this hotel. The service was truly excellent; the staff were very attentive and had a great attitude. We also tried the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food was good and reasonably priced. In the evenings, there was a fire dance show. The hotel has a private beach with clear water and soft sand, which our kids absolutely loved. You could even see many fish in the sea. The hotel isn't on the main street, so it's about a 35-minute walk, making it quite quiet. I'd recommend renting a scooter. For going out at night, walking along the beach feels safer. Our family had a very relaxing vacation here!"
