"The location is absolutely fantastic! Right outside the train station, which saved us the hassle of dragging our luggage far to find the hotel or taking public transport with it. Apart from First Mountain, we took the train daily to explore the town, so having the station right outside was incredibly convenient. It's also a 2-minute walk to the Coop supermarket. Our room faced the Eiger, and the view was absolutely stunning. After three nights, I really didn't want to leave!"

"I had a wonderful stay at the Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding areas. The views from the hotel are beautiful, especially the mountain scenery. The breakfast was also very good, with a wide selection, and enjoying the mountain views while eating breakfast was a perfect start to the day. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel facilities were well-maintained. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. If I come back to Grindelwald in the future, I would be happy to stay here again."

"This hostel boasts an unbeatable location, just a minute or two's walk from the Grindelwald Terminal, making transportation incredibly convenient. The natural scenery is absolutely stunning. The dining area also offers fantastic views, so you can enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama while having breakfast. The breakfast selection is rich and varied, making for a great dining experience. The overall facilities are new and well-maintained, and the amenities are comprehensive. The hostel has a good number of rooms. On my first day, I arrived quite late, and the staff left my room key in a locker by the entrance for self-check-in. It took me a bit of time to find my room initially. The bathrooms are communal and located outside the rooms, requiring a trip outdoors to use them. However, the communal areas are well-kept, and all facilities are fully equipped. Considering all factors, the value for money at this accommodation is excellent. If you're looking to deeply appreciate Grindelwald's natural beauty and want a great base for sightseeing and photography, this hostel is a perfect choice."

"Loved that we could still see the mountain from our room! Like that the hotel restaurant offered 10% discount to guests! The cheese fondue was great! Service staff were generally friendly and accommodating - one of the nicer staff we met throughout our switz trip One small feedback: Need to request kettle from front counter - wish they told us before we came up so we didn’t need to specially go down to request for it."

"The hotel is located high up on a hill, offering great views on a clear day. It's also very close to Grindelwald station. Before check-in, the owner emailed me to fill out my personal information in advance, but it was a bit tricky to do, so I figured it would be easier to just fill it out at the front desk when I arrived. However, when I got there, the lady at the front desk was quite displeased and deliberately made me wait for a long time, claiming that if I had completed the online form beforehand, I wouldn't have caused such a delay. All in all, despite that, it's a charming local chalet with beautiful weather and scenery, making for a great experience."

It is situated directly opposite the Grindelwald train station, making arrivals and departures incredibly easy, especially with luggage. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had that classic, cozy Swiss charm. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious Swiss cuisine. Many guests highly recommend the fondue and raclette available in their rustic ”Cava” cellar restaurant . The breakfast buffet is also consistently praised for its variety and quality, offering a great start to a day of exploring! Overall, the Derby Swiss Quality Hotel is a superb choice for anyone visiting Grindelwald."

"The location was fantastic, and the breakfast was incredibly delicious! However, there were stains on the duvet, which was a bit disappointing. Also, we wanted to dine at the hotel's ground-floor restaurant at 7 PM and had asked the staff to make a reservation for us the day before. But when we arrived, we found out the reservation was made for a different restaurant right next door, not the one we requested. The employee who made the mistake didn't even apologize. Another staff member, who was very apologetic, offered to rebook us for a different time slot. I think if the person who made the error had simply apologized, I would have felt much better. That really left a bad taste in my mouth and was quite a letdown. If only the bed linens were spotless and the apology for the mistake had been handled better, I would have been completely satisfied!"

"Best part of my Europe trip! Firstly, the location is really good, it is right beside the Grindelwald Terminal station, which is really well connected to all the tourist spots of the Jungfrau region and also the Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen areas. The view was the best part of the stay. Shoutout to Benjamin! He got us Room 301, from which the Eiger North Face was right in front of the room balcony. The room was really good too, a bunk bed and 2 single beds. One thing you should know is that the shower area has no door lol. Amenities were just a hand soap and a body wash. They have laundry machines for 5CHF, a great breakfast spread, a community hall with billiards table and a mini kitchen. There's also a great grill and bar restaurant open till 9pm. There's a Coop in the terminal, but it closes by 7pm, had all the essentials. I'm definitely coming back to Eiger Lodge Chic and asking Benjamin for a room!"

"The Chalet Jungfrau in Grindelwald has an amazing location; you can see the 'dreamy hillside' right outside, with expansive views and absolutely stunning scenery. It's a shame the main building's view is slightly less spectacular than the annex. Overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, leaving you fully satisfied and starting the day on a high note. The only minor downside is that the facilities are a bit old and dimly lit. Overall, it offers good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the 'dreamy hillside' and is looking for good value!"

"Every moment here was absolutely wonderful! They were very accommodating with my requests, all the staff were friendly, and the room was quiet, clean, and had an incredible view. The breakfast was also well-prepared, compact, and tasted excellent. It's close to the First cable car, there's a supermarket right in front, and it's not far to walk from Grindelwald station. If I go again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel. For all the Koreans traveling to Switzerland, if you go to Grindelwald, definitely try staying at this hotel!"
