"Before coming to Hongcun, I didn't have high expectations, thinking it would just be another old village to visit and leave. However, my stay at 'Hongcun Yike Homestay' made me feel that every detail of this trip radiated warmth. Upon arriving at Hongcun bus station, I was unfamiliar with the area and was stressing about how to drag my luggage across the stone-paved paths to the homestay while looking at a map. The moment I called, the owner's enthusiastic voice immediately put me at ease: 'Wait there, I'll be right over to pick you up!' In less than ten minutes, the owner appeared on an electric scooter, swiftly tied my luggage to the vehicle, and cheerfully motioned for me to hop on. We weaved through Hongcun's winding alleys and past bustling crowds of tourists. The homestay was tucked away in a quiet lane near Moon Pond, an excellent location. You could see Moon Pond just around the corner, yet it was peaceful and quiet – truly an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, I was captivated by this homestay, a renovated Huizhou-style building. The exquisitely carved porch, wooden corridors, and rustic private courtyard exuded the unique elegance and serenity characteristic of Huizhou homes. Inside the room, it was bright and clean. The antique-style wooden bed paired with a soft mattress offered both classic charm and comfort. The night was exceptionally quiet, and I slept soundly. Early the next morning, I opened the window to a beautiful view of the Huizhou-style horse-head walls in the morning light, distant mountains draped in lush greenery, and the nearby sounds of birdsong and fragrant flowers. It truly felt like living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. On the day of my departure, the owner drove me to the bus station as usual, reminding me of other places I hadn't visited in Hongcun along the way. Before saying goodbye, the owner pulled out a packet of chrysanthemum tea from the trunk, handed it to me, and smiled, saying, 'This is our local chrysanthemum tea, take it home and try it.' Holding that packet of tea, my heart felt warm. Staying here truly felt like returning to an old friend's home in Huizhou, thoughtful and considerate in every way. 'Yike Homestay' truly lives up to its name – making one feel 'at ease' (逸) and so content that guests (客) forget to leave. Next time I'm in Hongcun, I'll definitely stay here again."

"The hotel's location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. The hotel itself has a serene atmosphere, with a beautiful Jiangnan garden-style setting. You could easily spend a comfortable and peaceful day just relaxing in the courtyard with a cup of tea, without even needing to visit the sights. The cleanliness standards are on par with a five-star hotel, and they thoughtfully provide two types of slippers. The service is very attentive; they offer shuttle service to and from the parking lot, and are both welcoming and discreet. The front desk lady was especially kind, giving detailed directions."

"This guesthouse is a must-stay when visiting Hongcun to see the Huizhou-style architecture. Its location is absolutely superb, within walking distance of all the popular photo spots, making it super easy to plan your sightseeing. The courtyard is elegant and spotless, and the guest rooms are even cleaner and tidier. The attention to detail in cleanliness is truly impressive; there's no clutter or stains anywhere. It's an old house conversion that beautifully preserves its ancient charm while maintaining excellent living standards. My stay here was a perfect experience!"

"This guesthouse is located right inside the Hongcun scenic area, so you don't have to constantly go through the ticket gate. You can easily walk to famous attractions like Nanhu Lake and Yuezao Pond. Its overall location is a significant advantage compared to other guesthouses in the area."

"Location: The hotel is situated within the Xidi Scenic Area. Upon check-in, each room receives two complimentary adult tickets to Xidi, with each adult ticket allowing one child to enter for free. The tickets are valid for 3 days, meaning a family of two adults and two children staying here can enjoy free entry to the scenic area. Facilities: The hotel boasts excellent facilities. The bathroom amenities and bedding are of good quality, and the decor has a charming traditional aesthetic. The complimentary items provided, such as the peach wood comb, toiletries, towels, and cotton-linen slippers, are all of high quality. It feels like you're bringing home a lot of lovely souvenirs after just one stay! Service: The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile and patiently resolving any issues. Breakfast is quite generous, and in the evenings, they even provide complimentary chilled mung bean soup and Bingfen (a local dessert) when you return to your room. Environment: The hotel is nestled amidst ancient architecture and traditional gardens. Staying here allows you to truly appreciate the distinctive black tiles, white walls, and blue bricks of Huizhou's ancient buildings. I only wish I could have stayed for a few more days!"

"The room and the entire guesthouse were quite tastefully decorated. However, the soundproofing in the room was poor, and the duvet made a lot of noise. The lighting in the room was also quite dim. For us, with someone who has poor eyesight, this dim lighting was a bit inconvenient. For most people, it probably wouldn't be an issue. Also, personally, I'm not a fan of smart toilets. I don't know why hotels are all installing them now; it's quite annoying. It feels like hotel prices in the Hongcun area are generally inflated. A 500-600 yuan hotel is probably only worth around 400 yuan. Breakfast was served as a set meal, not a buffet, which meant the food wasn't very warm. Overall, the breakfast items weren't very tasty and the quality wasn't high. The soy milk was also very watery."

"The hosts tried to get in touch with me before I checked in but I couldn’t receive due to not having a local number. The hosts will very kindly arrange a pickup/drop off for you as the homestay is located outside of the key scenic area so definitely try to get in touch with them before your arrival (or else, expect to walk about 15 minutes from the main bus station - it’s not too bad honestly) The hosts were super kind and the lady boss was so nice to invite me to her tea shop in the main village to drink some tea before driving me back. The room was quiet and amenities were super great! Highly recommend if you like a quiet space."

"This hotel is less than a 15-minute walk from the West Gate entrance of Hongcun. They also offer a shuttle service to the scenic area's parking lot (from which it's another 5-minute walk into the area). It's quiet and quite convenient. Compared to staying inside the scenic area where you'd have to drag your luggage over many stone paths, staying outside is much more practical. The hotel itself has a very artistic and stylish design, with spacious and tasteful common areas. P1 shows the breakfast area on the third floor. Breakfast is served as set meals (some items can be refilled). We booked a large room with one 1.8m king bed and one 1.2m smaller bed (similar to a榻榻米 or Japanese-style floor mattress). The hotel service is also great, very welcoming and helpful (they offer pick-up and drop-off from the bus station, though the bus station is actually right at the entrance of Hongcun scenic area anyway)."

"Amazing place - modern room and amenities inside an ancient home. Clean and comfy beds, renovated, gleaming bathroom. Owner and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating; don’t hesitate to ask them for help getting around the area (including to Huangshan and to train stations) and seeing the sights. Also don’t miss out on their restaurant, located in the back of their main office — great environment, delicious food. Overall, highly recommend; would return!"

"Tachuan's autumn was made even more beautiful by this guesthouse. I searched on Ctrip for a long time, worried about hygiene issues, but this guesthouse really paid attention to details and was very clean. The moment I opened the door, the automatic welcoming ceremony from 'Xiao Ai' (smart speaker) was very touching. It's right at the entrance of Hongcun and the price is excellent value for money. The proprietress is very kind, and the young man who checked me in, Manager Xiao Wang, was extremely helpful with excellent service. From picking me up at the station to helping me find a car for my travels, he saved me the anxiety and exhaustion of not having a car in Hongcun. The prices were also reasonable. Anyone worried about drivers getting upset in Hongcun can completely entrust their needs to him. At the village entrance, he even used a small electric cart to help with my luggage. There are Hello e-bikes nearby, so you can go to Lucun early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Thank you for providing such a 'utopia' after my busy work. The hygiene was indeed top-notch!"
